- DIY desk out of one euro pallet. A good project using basic tools, no complicated angles, joints or cuts, mostly all flush and butt joints using screws. The trickiest bit is as usual having space that you can lay wood down on to mark out lines and levels
EURO spec pallets are some of the best, very solid, good timber, as usual try and find ones that are as clean as possible, electric wholesale places are good, usually out of town in industrial estates, the air con supplier has good ones as does my local carpet fitting company, the solid wood and packs of laminate flooring usually comes in and packaged on these pallets
Filmed during pandemic as a basic solution to those many families whos children didnt have a school desk space to use. Unfortunately due to issues the edting and organisation has all gone poof and things have been harder to get off the ground, still, got this one done and ive got more on the way hopefully. Thank you for hanging in there and the well wishes, its appreciated, i wish you all the best back and as usual, crack on and make something
Ps Butters sends hugs

No problem mate, thanks for watching!
Lovely project Bongo -- especially inspiring to a retired teacher and a not-retired writer. Did I tell you I’ve published three sets of fun detective stories in Germany these Covid years? They’re for students learning English, used in schools. Thanks as always for sharing your experience. Mr. Butters, as always- rocks.
Wow congratulations on getting your stories published! Sorry I've not been in touch as I've had another stroke unfortunately

Very nice desk. I found your channel by looking for a indoor stove conversion to a wood burning stove. Ha ha. Did you end up keeping yours or did it end up trash?
Bout time me ole mucker! Where ya been mate?
I know, I know, been a bit of a bugger, lost my little sister and a really dear friend, covid, relationship, brain damage, becoming almost a hermit, the usual stuff that would make for a really depressing video, fucking life man sometimes it walks up to you and drops to one knee and then spangos you in the testicles as hard as it can. Im still cracking on and working at mensheds and making stuff for hours in the workshop, slowly going to try and get back onto the youtube horse. Sorry if that was an overload, but you did ask 😂😂👊
@@thepoultrypeople that’s rough, but we trundle on. Am sorry to hear about your sis n mate. For the life of me I can’t remember where your at. Plan is, I’m meeting up with my friends across the pond next fall in Nottingham. One is traveling up from Midsomer Norton, another dashing from Derby to meet other friends that already live in Nottingham area. You’ll have to come up. We’re hitting the old pubs and castles, gotta hit the eateries.

Are the parkside battery's any good? I'm thinking of buying the cordless angle grinder.
The batteries seem quite good, i got the thin one with the drill and then the bigger fat one as an extra. But, the drill died after about a year or maybe two. However the two drills down at mensheds are older and more battered and they are still going strong so the batteries are there now. So yes the batteries are ok, ive no experience with their angle grinder though and Id try to keep the receipt safe if i was you, a lot depends on if youre going to be doing daily use. Here in my workshop ive gone corded, the Makita 4.5 inch as my daily grinder which are usually around £50. Ive got about 4 other rando corded grinders for different purposes and adaptors. I might make a general video about grinders and my thoughts, ive broken plenty over the years, ive got a couple of good danger stories as well and how things can go horribly wrong with the bastards, stay safe
@@thepoultrypeople Get the lidl plus app and use it when you buy tools as all receipts will be stored digitally on the app ;)
@@thepoultrypeople I've a canny collection of grinder's in various sizes all wired also, but I was wary of buying a low end cordless one. Wasnt putting 300 out for it to be used once a month at most. Just put out for it so fingers crossed it's worth it. Kept receipt just incase lol.
I've a couple incidents with them also..... Climbing tape is very handy to have in the first aid kit. Its very absorbent and still sticks. I have a roll in every kit bag I have.
@@tvi82 too much personal information given for any of these apps for my liking. Christ my washer has WiFi and wants an app. Not having my washing machine spy on me.
