The theme and decorations are unique and beautiful. Truly a traditional Christmas.
That Nativity Set was impressive!
I love how they decorated the rooms so there would be something for everyone. The kids who are lucky enough to tour the White House this year are going to go bonkers over all the toys and candy. I can't begin to image how many hours it took the legions of decorators to do all the work. It was nice to see references of the presidential pets, too. Thanks for the camera tour...I only wish it could've lasted longer.

I had the same thought! Back when it was magical and all happened overnight the day after Thanksgiving.
What and offend someone. Forget the Christmas decorations they are a thing of the past.
Yes❣️ State street in Chicago was like walking into Winter Wonderland; everything was so beautiful…..It was very Magical for the Children’s of all ages.
@@louisaberrios1789 yes my parents took us up by train to see Santa in Chicago every year it was truly magical as decorations didn’t go up till a couple of weeks before Christmas so the excitement and anticipation was great
@@louisaberrios1789 So true!! We used to take our kids to State Street to so the windows decorated for Christmas!! It was so magical. One time we saw a man get on one knee and propose to his girlfriend in front of the windows! It was so special.

Very children and family centered. The Gold Star tree for gold star families is very touching. Wasn't the music beautiful ? They managed to mix classic decor with whimsical candyland! Charming! Kudos to the planners and workers who helped Dr. Biden put on a lovely visit to the White House at Christmas. Love it!

That struck me as well. Very magical and child oriented.
I am glad they had Gold Star tree for Gold Families. DR. JILL did good in remembering our that we even had a military. MERRY CHRISTMAS AND GOD HELP THIS NATION. I wrote you a whole paragraph but decided This isn’t really a time for politics. THIS IS THE TIME TO CELEBRATE THE CHRIST THAT IS IN CHRISTMAS.
Wonderful - here in Australia we don’t really do Christmas displays as extravagantly and I just loved it all.
I'd like to know how Australians "do" Christmas, especially since you're in the middle of summer. Do you have Santa? And how does he get around!
As Christmas in the Southern Hemisphere occurs in the summer season, for many the day is a day to spend at the beach.
On a fall visit to Australia while shopping I recall seeing, in a display of stationery, a calendar for the new year featuring a photo of Santa standing in a field of sunflowers.
Same here in New Zealand, my own place i just do the lounge and dinning room, the older i get im finding im not putting as much up as i have other years.
The decor nailed the wonderment and awe I felt as a small child seeing decorations for the first time. Every new display was a joy to behold. Well done and a much needed positive tribute to America! Thanks for the sneak preview.
My cousin is Aspen Bergmann. She leads a team of decorators that are chosen to decorate the White House. She did an amazing job on the rooms she and her team were chosen to decorate. She is selected every year for the honor.
The music was lovely and the really old books were great.
What a wonderful tour of the White House Christmas. My daughter had the pleasure of being one of the decorating volunteers this year. She said it was an amazing experience. These people work so hard in such a short few days to get this put together. Great job.

I have seen pictures of the White House but never a walk through tour. Combined with playful and honour to patriots in elegantly designed Christmas decorations, reflecting our President and First Lady are truly value the heart of our nation. Thank you Andrew for sharing the experience.
More people need to see this full tour of wondrous christmas splendour. It was a sublime bounty, a full feast for the eyes, that left every taste fulfilled. This is Christmas people! Not a single inflatable minion in sight.

So grateful for this! You did a spectacular job. It felt like we were with you in person! I'd heard the First Lady wanted us to feel like children again when we experienced the decorations. I think she and her fabulous team of professionals and volunteers hit it out of the park! I felt like a child visiting the big department store windows downtown when I was a child. Just outstanding! The theme First Lady Jill Biden chose this year is Christmas Through the Eyes of Children. The decor is done by Glitterville, a company from Knoxville, Tennessee.
The Green Room was the most elegant place in the People’s House. The rest of it looked like Disney on steroids.
More like some horror - driven Willy Wonka Nightmare!

Enchanting, the overall theme sincere homage to what America is on its pleasant capabilities . The trees in music orchestra were breathtaking, all sections for children will be a joy for them . It usually doesn’t. Hasn’t in the last three administrations.
The decorations spoke quite well for saying Merry Christmas without the need for a sign to say it.

I absolutely adore the Christmas decor this year! It’s such a beautiful mixture of all different styles of Christmas decorations! All are done very tastefully, even the more child like ones, which are my favorites! All are stunning though! Kudos to our First Lady & her team! 🎄

I saw some vintage Christmas ornaments ad vintage candlestick holders on the 1 Christmas tree that we also have. I was given my great grandmother's extensive Victorian Christmas decorations that adorned the Historic Rowe hom in Milford Michigan. The Rowe home was also my family home. 🎅❤🎅
Cool! The only advice I have is to not use the vintage candlestick holders with lit candles that go on the tree on your tree. Anyways, have a Merry Christmas!!!
Andrew- Thank you for this video. I loved it! The Gold Star Tree in honor of our military is beautiful. I loved the licorice dog- that is the Biden's dog, right? Was that entire arrangement made of licorice? It was tooo pretty to eat. The room with the White House China and gingerbread was beautiful. The Nativity was beautiful. I would love to be able to put up a Christmas tree in every room of my house. All the trees here are toooooo beautiful- all unique and different. My favorite tree was the Blue Room with the train. Are the musicians military people also? Mrs Biden looked good in her ice-cicle blue pantsuit. Again, thank you for sharing this video.

Look up the year JFK was killed.
The White House Ladies Society met across the Street and after the Johnsons went to bed came in and on the Qt decorated the whole house including the private quarteers with the help of the Whitehouse Chief Usher, you can find the Whitehouse Photographer's ahots of Lady Byrd coming down in her Bath Robe and seeing it for the first Time.
Also was in Lady Byrd's published memoir.

Beautifully done. A sense of family and old traditions in the displays, something that seems to get lost over time. The ornaments made by the military children were really good! You seemed surprised by the nativity. It has been put up since 1967. in the niche of the east room. Usually, the niche is curtained off. The East Room features a Neapolitan crèche, or Nativity scene, with over 40 figurines, most dating back to the eighteenth century. The crèche has been displayed during every White House holiday season since 1967. Good pictures and I love these decorations this year. But good tour and I thank you.
