- Receiving a personal invitation to The White House is pretty surreal. It almost sounded too good to be real... at least that's what I thought when I first received the email. But... NO... It was a genuine invitation and I just had to go! I was thrilled that my editor, Dorian, was able to join me and capture all the footage in order to bring YOU... My RUclips friends along with me. I hope you enjoy touring the iconic White House for Christmas 2023. In addition, I'll take you along for the ride as I visit a few national monuments and landmarks in Washington DC. For those of you who love all things Interior Design, I'll even give you a peek at my suite at the famous Waldorf Astoria.

I love watching the videos of the White House at Christmas. I just found out about it a couple of years ago. I loved the one that Melania Trump did. It was so elegant. Best ever. I like you love the elegant, glam look. Thank you for sharing with us. My favorite was the trees that lined the hallways.

Lovely WH Tour, Rebecca. Congrats on being invited. Glad we still have some memorials…they recently removed Thomas Jefferson (shh…he had slaves). Nevermind about George and Martha….that was ok to the left I guess. Last I knew the White House is the American people’s house. It is there to represent America. The President & family live on one of the floors. A lot of offices are on the other floors. My brother worked at WH under Reagan. I’m with you, give me classical decor. Can’t believe they only gave you an hour….but as I recall when there all tours are an hour long. That was lovely….what an honor!

I love it. It felt very much like a fancy version of a kids christmas was my first thought, which I realised as I kept watching was the intention. I love all the color and the joy in the decor.
The Waldorf tour, proudly displaying our American flag, was the best! Stay warm now!

This is awesome! It gives me a little something to expect when we go this weekend. My husband's name is one of the Gold Stars on the tree.

I hope seeing your husbands name on the Good Star Tree brings you some comfort … personally, that tree was incredibly touching and significant. I had no idea one of my viewers would be personally affected… this brings the Gold Star Tree to a whole new level.

What an incredible honor to tour the White House decorated for Christmas! You deserved the invitation and I'm thrilled for you. I laughed when you said Willy Wonka because that was my first thought. Precious for children and so magical and I bet their eyes light up when they enter that area. Wow! I can't imagine the work and hours that goes into each and every room and organizing all of those volunteers. Thank you for clarifying that we as tax payers do not pay for this.....I had no idea. Question, as a designer how long do you think it takes to prepare for this and how many designers do you think it takes to pull this off? Merry Christmas!!!!

I have seen many videos of the White House Christmas decorations this year, but you did the best and most detailed one!
The last time I went to Washington D.C. I met a 96 year old Bob Dole and his entourage at the plaza there...he was even a looker at 96 😊 he also stole a kiss from me (on the cheek, of course) 😂 ❤

Yes this is one of the most breathtaking holiday decor the WH has ever done. It was brought back to fun, classy, honoring the goldstar families, and beats the blood red eeryness of the previous adminidtration by a landslide.

I love that you mentioned the book you read about the decorations. The hotel room was absolutely stunning! Thank you for sharing this experience!
