Basically a 3-dimensional scene is converter into an array of three dimensional coordinates, one for every available drone. And then between scene transitions each drone flies between their own pre-programmed locations, loaded as a individual flight plan in its controller hardware. To make sure the drones don't drift, the operators set up a groundbased transmitter system called RTK (real time kinematic) that uses a GPS-system to pinpoint the locations of each drone up to a few centimeters in precision from a basestation. This is then transmitted and each drone uses this data to correct deviations. Doing all this requires custom software that efficiently converts a scene into hundreds of individual flightplans (and some are more fancy allowing for elaborate animated scenes) and hardware modifications to skeletonize the terminals of an existing RTK system on the market, integrating them with the drone frames and sent its input into a drone's flight controller to be interpreted as corrections. Both steps are custom , proprietary solutions, which is why there are only a handful of drone show operators in the world to handful (for now). That and it costs quite a bit of money to buy and convert this many drones.

I’d like to see you do this in an area without lights…it would make more of an impact for viewers below to have actual darkness around them.
Officially amazing!!!! Congrats Sky Elements team!!!
This is one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen! Well done, that isn’t easy to do by ANY means!!
As an aside I wonder what people who didn’t know this was going on or were flying overhead thought when they saw this lol
how would you know if it was easy or not? its just programed into a computer. they didnt actually fly the drones. they just turned them on and the program did the rest. and any spectators that saw this probably figured it out pretty quick that it was a light show. like i saw the video, wasnt to complicating for me to figure it out

@@k7jeb Yeah you can always tell when people are just running their mouths with no experience actually doing the thing they talk about.
@BarkerVancity hi there. I'm throwing a party but I think it's going to be just too much fun
I'm wondering if you would be able to attend to suck most of the fun out of it?
@@BarkerVancity whens your next drone show then?🤣
Amazing! What’s also amazing is that like going to a concert half to most of those in attendance will miss the true magic and visuals of all the time and effort put into this because they choose to view it through a 7” phone screen. Put your phones down and enjoy the experience!
Love the drone views of the drones. Haha Great!
Us too!
The drones are all in the same spot, still like pixels on a television. This is more of an impressive led lightning work for which drones are previously coded. Amazing work.
What a beautiful way to break a record. Then you did it twice. Bravo 🎊 🎊 🎊
Thank you 😁
Absolutely amazing display! Kudos to the programmers who spent literally hundreds of hours to bring the display to fruition! Not only did they have the display in the air, but had several other drones flying and recording what we, the public got to see in their "birds eye" view!!! Congrats on breaking world records, you deserve it!!
MERRY CHRISTMAS,!
Well done you lads!! After ten years of ballet, the Nutcracker every year, so lovely to see drones take one for the team!! Happy Christmas, and thank you for sharing your talent....I'm NY Toms very Brazil/Brazilian future wife MD, Veteran, Middle East & Cont. of Africa
Wie schön, ohne Berge von Müll, Krach, Gestank und abgetrennte Finger ❤❤❤. So was brauchen wir auch.
How amazingly wonderful this show was... congratulations on your success
Thank you.
Oh I bet that was spectacular in person!!! So cool!!! Thank you and congratulations on your 2 world records!!🎉
Thanks so much!!
Really nice. Happy Christmas from Frankfurt Germany
Oh wow. That was breathtaking, I am at a loss for words. That was so beautiful and amazing. Thank you for sharing. Congratulations, and Merry Christmas. ❤
Fantastic 😮
That was amazing! I’ve seen the Nutcracker performed all over the world and that was one of the best. Well done to everyone involved
Well done that was an amazing show. You fully deserve the awards. Well Done and Merry christmas to you all.
……..GOOSEBUMPS!!!!!!! You guys deserve every accolade one could give!!! Thank you and congratulations ❤️❤️
This is nothing short of magic to my engineer brain to orchestrate so many devices in the air with a voxel-perfect execution (voxel is the 3D cousin of pixel). Amazing job Sky Elements!
How beautiful!! Thank you for all the hard work for presenting this to me and the world. Congrats on the record you set!! Merry Christmas 🎄!
Taking Christmas light shows to a new level with performances like this. To everyone involved with this, hell of a job.
if only the kids were actually paying attention lmao.
Woooowww 😮 JUST AMAAAAZING AND SO BEAUTIFUL 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
just see it from m'y youtube in Cameroon
Incredible. We have come very far with technology so quickly. Absolutely Incredible. Bravo to this team.
What is more amazing is that if you send all of this drone to Ukraine we will show you even more incredible Christmas show 🎄
What a lovely surprise on Christmas Eve! I’ve never seen anything like it. I’m still impressed by one drone taking off haphazardly. 🎄✨
That is beyond imagination 😮
FYI this is how they will try to "convince" us of aliens lol.
Congratulations Sky Elements on the world record and Merry Christmas.
I wish I could see these in person one day
Check out or website for public shows!
@@SkyElementsDroneShowsdo you fly the drones or are you that narrator
Amazing!!!
"largest aerial display of a fictional character" guiness world records will literally make up any world record you want.
Absolutely incredible display and it really feels a lot like Christmas 🎄🎄. It's nice to see that technology can be used for good. Congratulations to the team who set this up .❤
That was incredible!!! Congrats on the two new Guinness world records :D Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!!!
Onde está o presépio de Natal? Onde está o menino Jesus? E a estrela de Belém? E os reis magos? Esse sim é o verdadeiro motivo do Natal! 🤔
Amen?
Guinness world records are a fucking joke. More of a popularity gain type of thing.
The stunt is cool regardless
Бары жакшы мага жакты рахмат уюштручуларга❤🎉
simply astounding !!!!! We are all living in exciting tech times for sure ! Sky Elements has some very creative folks working for them !! Congrats to all who made this happen .
Dancing drones I had no idea they existed until this past 4th of July, will forever keep me in awe. They are incredibly beautiful. Take my breath away 🥹🤩 Congratulations 🎉 on the world records!
One word AMAZING great job congrats 🙌👏
China has been doing this kind of show for many years. Good to see US finally catches up with some technical stuff
This is a brilliant demonstration of the accuracy that GPS positioning now achieves.....impressive show!
Are we sure GPS were used? Maybe they used a local tracking system for higher accuracy? This is being used by some heavy construction equipment for accuracy far beyond what GPS can offer.
Imagine going to an amazing show like that and not seeing it because you're staring at your phone screen.
My exact thoughts. The whole show was professionally videoed so why not just sit back and watch the magic on a colossal scale. I'm actually enjoying the show more than those idiots.
Yes. Just what I thought. At least the kids would have seen it with their actual eyes.
And at flood lights
Happens 24/7 with most people. Look around, they have no idea.
hard work and much talent, is insane imagine what can be make in these days, hope every nation get inspired to make things like this in future, Congrats for the record guys! Merry Christmas!! 🎄🎅
LOVE THIS! A sweet light show, no pollution, repeat usage, and completely reusable! An environmental wonder show!
Да, под нашу русскую музыку, нашего великого русского композитора Чайковского, это особенно прекрасно!!! 👍👍👍 🎉🎉🎉
Любители гордиться тем к чему ни грамма руку не приложили, лОхи!!!!
This is amazing! Extremely well done on every aspect, including the video. Congratulations on your Guinness World Records!
Absolutely, spectacularly beautiful and magnificent!!! The Nutcracker is my very favorite. I have been going to see it most years for 57 years. However I couldn’t attend this year or last year, (I was in the hospital last year) as I have been too sick, fighting for my life. You put a huge smile on my heart with this amazing display. I just loved it!!! Thank you soooo much!!! Congratulations!! You deserve any and all rewards!!
Whoever chose the music for this edit is super well done
Was very happy to hold my two little girls and have them watch this. We loved it. There's not a lot of things these days to excite children and adults about the holidays, but this was definitely one of them. Thank you guys and gals.
I can’t even keep one drone in the air or out of a tree for more than 5 mins , let alone thousands! Awesome work!
