    hi sir . I just watch your video and take apart my reel . it was very well explained, thank you. Everything looks good exept when i turn the handle, the "click sound "of the gear disappear. is this something that has ever happened to you ? do you have any ideas what the problem is ?

    • @TSGReelService
      @TSGReelService  2 года назад +1

      Thanks for watching! Regarding the click when you turn, it could be too much grease around the dog (causing it to not snap), the dog spring is weak (same function as the aforementioned), or the bridge screw is too tight (squeezing the pieces too close together). All that said, if you've extensively tested the dog and it works in all situations, I wouldn't worry about it.... except for the bridge screw thing.... too tight and it can crack the plate. Hope that helps.

    Sir may i ask what is the use of the metal you remove first. What is the use of that.

      Thanks for watching. It's a rod brace... acts as a support, like the rod clamp.

      Nice. Should last you a very long time if you do a little maintenance once or twice a year.

      @@TSGReelService thanks my friend😀I bought it second hand so will definitely service it first. Got 800meter braid with so it's definitely worth it.
      Braid cost the price of the reel so I scored on that one😀 I wanna use it for Shark fishing. You think I must pair it with a deep sea rod like Kingfisher Poseidon strikeforce spf30 think it's 9ft... or must I use my Purglass 400/4 heavy 6-10oZ 14ft? 🤷‍♂️ I've never used small 9ft deep sea rods so I'm not familiar with them. Dunno if it's worth the money to buy one.
      Edit: Sharks from shore.

      @@TSGReelService deep sea rod it's rated line weight 30-50LB
      My 14ft is rated 33-66 pound(LB) line weight
      The deep sea is rated 66-110pound(LB) line weight oh and the deep sea rod is 7ft

      Congrats on the score! Sorry, I'm not well versed in rods to guide you in the right direction. I'm the type that, if the reel feels good on the rod, and is relatively cheap, then I like it. 🤷🏽‍♂️ Good luck sharking!
