This is the home of a black doctor Hector Collison. There is a video "Dr. Hector Collison's Mansion". This mansion is in Potomac, Maryland. The belongings you see are not property of the Collison family. This home was sold to a Nigerian national who was put in Federal prison and deported. Everything he left behind because he was imprisoned. The dogs were starved they broke out of their cages and survived on water from the sink as long as they could. That is why the sinks are full of feces. The dogs died in there. His wife and children were deported. Dr. Hector Collison was a colleague of my fathers he was a great doctor and businessman. Sad what happened to him and his son. Potomac has a lot of wealthy black people mostly high powered attorneys, doctors and real estate investors. Dr. Collison's daughter Amira is a psychiatrist.
I never understood how some doctors made so much money and some didn’t. I worked at a bank and occasional saw mortgage loan applications. One was a husband and wife who were both Doctors. Anesthesiologist and had no office or staff overhead. They just ran from hospital to hospital passing gas 🤡. But, seriously, they made $1,000,000 each. So, $2,000,000 each in 1980’s which would be close to $4,000,000 today. If they can spend a quarter of income on mortgage payments,as is common, they could pay a million a year on mortgage. That means a $12 million dollar mortgage at 8%+- Times 1.25 for cash down = home worth $15,000,000. The problem for bank is one of these doctors dies the probability of foreclosure is 100%.
That locked door room on the second floor that you saw was actually an elevator. You can tell by the two up and down buttons next to it and the way the door is locked as well. It is a requirment by codes as a safety feature to be locked when not level with the door on residential buildings to prevent someone opening the door and falling in.

I am amazed at these abandoned homes still with all the valuable possessions left in them and noone has ransacked them or stolen all the belongings, there is a ton of valuables left here that some would die to have, especially the cars, it just amazes me noone has come to reclaim them or stolen them. Another thing that is really strange is how one room will be perfect and another room totally destroyed, like someone lost their temper and or totally lost it due to sadness or great loss and just threw stuff everywhere. The clothing is also amazing all new with tags still on them never worn, including the shoes. All I can say is "WOW!!!" Simply amazing. Thanks guys for showing us these amazing and sometimes very sad places and the people that once lived in them, and also how it looks like one day they just got up and left and never returned, leaving behind their legacy for us to see. Great tour, Thank you. I've seen this place before, but not done as well as your video. They didn't show all of the new clothes with tags. Imagine eleven bedrooms and each has a bath. Now that's the only way to do a good job building a home. I'm very surprised that there was little to no male clothes or shoes. And no evidence that a child lived there. That seemed very strange. This was the best tour ever. Thank you so much.
One reason so many of these mansions don't sell is because the original owner/builder puts so much of their personality into the decor. Unless you happen to like the same style it would be hard and expensive to redo. That staircase is beautiful but not to everyone's taste. Think what it would take to redo all of the staircases and balcony rails.
Wow, great exploration there. What a shame a beautiful house like this is abandoned. It really could be turned into a hotel, with the amount of bedrooms and bathrooms it has. Really enjoyed the video, love from Great Britain 🇬🇧
5:15 the background music elevates the videography to a whole new level. Beautiful. I have checked the description box on multiple of your videos, but unfortunately I couldn't find any reference to the music you use. Would love if you shared the music titles/artists!
The top floor looks like the butler's quarters. The phones are internal lines I would assume, so the family could ask for things whenever they need something. Amazing house! Such a sad fate. RIP to the father and son.
I finally was able to find the back story on this - the doctor's wife was able to sell the home after his passing. All of those items are not from the doctor or his wife, they are from the second owners.
It kind of seems like some of them just started a new life unless they just always had new things but not much of anything else. This is one of the most beautifully designed houses I've seen.
He wasn't a pilot but a cardiologist (Dr. Collison) who flew small planes as a hobby until he crashed his plane and died with his son on one of his flights. His widow could not afford the $50,000/month mortgage and the $8 million left to pay off on the house. Since it was still under construction and unfinished, she couldn't sell it within the 3 months that the bank had given her so the bank foreclosed on it and it was sold to some Nigerians who were later deported. All the items in the house is what the Nigerians left behind when they had to leave the country in a rush.
R U serious? OMG! This is unbelievable. This is truly a jaw-dropping abandoned mansion video. I have seen tons of videos about abandoned mansions, but this one tops the list. Where are all of the millionaires or property developers? From what I have seen, there doesn't seem to be a lot of damage, and could be restored to tip-top shape in no time. This is so sad! The furniture, OMG! They didn't even want some of the furniture? WOW!

The first owner of this house was a cardiologist . He had the house built and they'd lived in it 7 months when him and his 15 year son went on a trip in his plane and crashed and died when the plane crashed. The wife had to sell it because of 8 million was still owed on it and the husband had let his multi million dollar life insurance lapse 2 months prior to his death and the mortgage was $50,000 and 8 million was owed on the home. The man saved for years it was his and his familys dream home unfortunately the wife and other 3 kids had to sell the home and take what they could and move back to their old home. The youngest daughter become a Dr. Like her dad. The mortgage company gave the wife 3 months to sell the home and she did , to a nigerian national and a woman named natalie . Ironically the nigerian national also died and natalie was forced to leave the home. Its been tied up in the courts since then starting in 2015 for back taxes. No one else has owned this home and no one else ever will. Some homes arent meant to be owned after such tragic events happen. No one will ever keep this home the sadness is embedded in the walls. Someone elses blood , sweat , and tears went into the planning and construction of it and he worked his life to afford it and ended up losing his life after and it was tragic for the family. Houses hold memories and emotions ..not all good. This house will be cursed for anyone who tries to own it. Both people who have owned it died tragic deaths at two different times the other owner, the nigerian national died in a bad car wreck. You can feel the sadness and anger in the house. You can almost see the family there too

They had the best of everything in 2016. The lady of the house must have been fully engaged in shopping for clothes, makeup. The best materials money could buy. Nothing was spared on the main and second floor. If this family would have been living in this place longer I bet that pool and jacuzzi room would have been amazing.

It's probably all diced up in loans and investors a lot people living at that level especially building such a house would be up to their eyeballs in debt - financial packages - and those get bought bundled up & sold throughout. One part of the financial/insurance package goes down - if it's peripheral OK recovery possible - but the main breadwinner's/shareholder's salary gone stagnant - that's the lubricant that keeps the family's ownership going - once it terminates all the separate parties start baying for their cut. Irony is often such wives are penniless if the deal breaks for whatever reason. So technically even the clothes wouldn't legally belong to the wife all bought on credit cards owned by the package dealers even if her name is on the cards. Once her husband's money isn't chugging or flowing she'll be offered an out. Like Road Runners they're off as fast as their mascara dries after the initial shock & in the care of their new provider who expects to & can replace everything left - she doesn't need it.
he probly left the family millions of dollars and they dont care about liquidating another 20 grand worth of stuff to stir up all the memories. It also feels weird to sell Your deceased family members stuff
Such a sad story about the family. It doesn’t appear theres a ton wrong with this house for the most part, it needs a lot of cleaning for sure and some repairs but it’s all fixable. The incomplete pool area and the outside needs a lot of attention/clean up too. But it’s got good bones, what a beautiful home, someone that had the financial means could fix it up and live there for sure after it receives the cleaning, completing, attention required to make it inhabitable again. I really hope somebody saves it before the apparent damage get worse or vandals discover the place and destroy it. I agree with you that it’s a shame those clothes and shoes are just sitting there when they could be used by people that need them. So sad what happened.
I feel like the family may have been in a lot of debt. Or maybe they had only recently come into money. It looks expensive but doesn’t feel wealthy, if that makes sense.
@@roozief9349They were building the house on a bank loan. The mortgage was 60k month. The father & and son died in a plane crash. The family had no money to pay the mortgage. The story is online.
The third floor and striped room would have likely been live-in staff quarters, hence their small kitchenettes and distant location from other main parts of the house.
Right from the beginning I was saying "OMG"! What a sad story to this beautiful home :o( That grand staircase was stunning. So eerie with the Christmas trees still standing. The dining room table looked like it was set for dinner or company. Such a beautiful kitchen and the office was gorgeous. So many items sitting there, brand new, when so many others could use them. Love your narrative on this house and your always so respectful of these places. I think this is one of your best tours to date. :o) Thank you so much. Stay safe :o)
Unbelievable that place just left like that high dollar clothing and shoes! Beautiful place is salvageable, but hardly no one can afford that much square footage. And the upkeep. It’s a shame. Another good one👍’s up
The one that was locked was the elevator. There were buttons on the wall. The striped room with kitchenette and bath would be described as a FROG. Finished Room over Garage. This is a particularly nice one. Always enjoy your tours, you give background info.
I get the feeling the widow didn’t want any reminders of the deceased. This is strange to watch because the owners of this house are (probably) still alive. They could be watching this and reading these comments. Imagine how you would feel seeing this, knowing the story and memory behind all of those items, and what has become of it. I don’t think I could take it. Fascinating to watch! Great video!
Some other youtubers with channels called " Jeremy Xplores" and "BigBankz" already uploaded videos on this exact same abandoned mansion a few months ago. Interesting none of them had that fake gun in their videos though...😉 I'm watching from Germany and I am hooked on this channel. I think It's one of the best there is on abandoned places.
This mansion is absolutely stunning! And all those valuable items just left behind! I would’ve thought that the widow would’ve tried to liquidate the contents of the mansion or donate a lot of it since she knew she wouldn’t be living there since she couldn’t afford it.
The "locked" doors were actually not rooms. They were elevator doors that only open when the elevator is on that floor. The call buttons were beside the doors to the right.
I always find it interesting that a lot of the abandoned houses that are showcased seem to have Christmas decorations up - like all these families seem to desert their homes at the same time of year. I wonder why that is.
I don't know if it's up your alley, but the Warner Brothers Backlot Ranch is being bulldozed soon. A Lot of outdoor shots and some indoor were filmed there. It might be worth it to take a trip and yes, it does have a cost.
From what I understand the pilot’s family was not in possession of home from 2016 on. A foreign person had home and fled to their country. If I am correct…
It does feel like they just came into money and went nuts like some do. But with so many bedrooms full closets just how many were in the family they probally were all depended on the fathers money. But debt, spending too much and too much thinking it all could be covered later and possibly family estate dispute may have put things on hold.I thought i saw auction tags on some of the furniture.
Was a family of 6. The father and one of the children died. He didn't keep up with his life insurance payment, so the wife got no pay out and she couldn't affoed the $50,000 a month repayments.
As a car enthusiast and car lover, I would be looking all over the place for those car keys so I can save the cars and get them fixed up and running again after sitting there for years!
Yeah the Mercedes looked like an AMG model with those wheels. Someone very small ,drove/owned it, the seat was pushed very close to the steering wheel. The VW looked to be close to new. Absolutely no wear on the top or the interior and was a 5 or 6 speed manual transmission. It looked like a 2009 or 2010 model. The Mercedes was older, probably early 2000's or late 90's model. It looked to be a nice car too. Looked like it had a two tone gray and blue leather interior to match the silver and blue top.
Dr. Ime S. Umanah, a Nigerian national, and Middleton acquired the property located at 9808 Bentcross Drive in Potomac, Maryland as joint tenants. Umanah granted Middleton power of attorney to act on his behalf. At some point, Umanah moved back to Nigeria. home was purchased from Connie the late doctor Hector collison wife whom built this home for his family but passed away with 15 year old son to soon to enjoy or afford, absolutely sad story all around.

He didn't keep up with life insurance payments, So the wife got 0 and couldn't afford the $50,000 a month house repayments.
It can someone else said it looked like people who came into money fast amd couldn't hd it I I totally agree
@@ashleigh_whatever50,000 a month?? Wow 😮
Congratulations on the sponsor, that makes me so happy for you!😊
I feel like the family may have been in a lot of debt. Or maybe they had only recently come into money. It looks expensive but doesn’t feel wealthy, if that makes sense.
Something from dirty dogs all over a white couch and dirty fridge....gross probably new money or old people both of which are bad with money
@@roozief9349They were building the house on a bank loan. The mortgage was 60k month. The father & and son died in a plane crash. The family had no money to pay the mortgage. The story is online.
@@MochaQueen5why would you build a house you can’t afford. The bank will just take it away in 6 months
@@kylefoster6795
That's what newspaper said this man was the son of Republican Senator Jim Inhofe. Maybe they just didn't want to pay it.
@@MochaQueen5 Thanks for the information.
The third floor and striped room would have likely been live-in staff quarters, hence their small kitchenettes and distant location from other main parts of the house.
Although I’ve seen this exploration before, I did enjoy your version. Thank you.
love all your videos and the calm soothing way you narrate👍👍
I've been watching your channel for years. This was one of your great ones, bro.
So, so sad. Thanks for the explore of this beautiful Manson. 😢
Magnificent vid sir.
Thank you kindly
What a beautiful place. Dark expo the plug fr 🔥🔥
Someone should come in there collect everything and donate, alot that stuff people could use!
No one could use that stuff now. Water damaged and moldy.
Unbelievable that place just left like that high dollar clothing and shoes! Beautiful place is salvageable, but hardly no one can afford that much square footage. And the upkeep. It’s a shame. Another good one👍’s up
Things rot and people die, time always fades away but the memories will always haunt
Love your stuff. Thanks so much!
First time watching, and I will keep watching. awesome 👌 👏 👍
OMG how beautiful! So sad to see it wasting away!
The one that was locked was the elevator. There were buttons on the wall.
The striped room with kitchenette and bath would be described as a FROG. Finished Room over Garage. This is a particularly nice one.
Always enjoy your tours, you give background info.
It's good to watch this content, there are always stories
So cool. I wonder if this home is still able to be explored
good to see that u wear gloves no other explorer does just for health and safety reasons
But I tonight he said the family died?
The Mercedes is a first-generation CLK class convertible, and the Volkswagen is a 2004-2010 New Beetle Cabriolet.
Oh it already reminds me of the old jumanji movie ❤
At 21:03 ... is that a pickle on the stairs? You looked at it when you turned around at 37:47 too. Please it's confusing me so much LOL!
How do you not get tempted to just take some of the beautiful items left behind. So many items still with tags! It's crazy!
I would have sold so much hahaha
Cursed items will bring bad luck
Take it and your whole life mess up with bad energy
@@jer575and your life mess up,trust me bad juju...😢
Some other youtubers with channels called " Jeremy Xplores" and "BigBankz" already uploaded videos on this exact same abandoned mansion a few months ago. Interesting none of them had that fake gun in their videos though...😉 I'm watching from Germany and I am hooked on this channel. I think It's one of the best there is on abandoned places.
I saw the "fake gun" on Jeremy Xplores video. He said it was a Co2 bb gun.
I saw the "fake gun" on Bigbankz video. It was on the drawer near the dining area. 😊
So strange to see those cars still there and in the garage and driveway 😮
Oh I see the shower is FULL of Jo Malone bath wash. Love Jo Malone! Very expensive.
Os móveis estão sem nenhuma poeira e o chão está brilhando. Muito estranho para uma casa abandonada...
The extraordinary craftsmanship, combined with the size of the place, probably took ten years to complete.
I think the "locked bedroom" was the elevator.
Maybe keeping up appearances until Christmas, then the Jan bills come in.
@@Forward-t7x Also people giving grace and not forcing people out until after the holidays maybe.
Maybe things like leases, loans, mortgages, etc. expire at the end of the year?
Great video!👍
Great explore, Devin! 👍🏻
Sorry for the loss😢… my heart is breaking.. 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
I don't know if it's up your alley, but the Warner Brothers Backlot Ranch is being bulldozed soon. A Lot of outdoor shots and some indoor were filmed there. It might be worth it to take a trip and yes, it does have a cost.
How did people pass away? Such a amazing place if this was the uk unfortunately it wouldn't be looking so beautiful stills. Living your channel ❤
From what I understand the pilot’s family was not in possession of home from 2016 on. A foreign person had home and fled to their country. If I am correct…
I love ❤your videos
on google maps you can see the new house in 2012, there are even people working on it
Thank you very much for this video!
You sold me at rare sneakers. Can’t wait to see
It does feel like they just came into money and went nuts like some do.
That was a big houses thanks for the video
What an incredible home!! Such a sad story though.
The locked door that he thought was a bedroom was actually an elevator than went all the way up to the third floor. Maybe even the basement.
You do such an amazing job documenting these properties!
That was awesome video
thank you for the share of your visit !
Beautiful home but with a sad story in its history.😢
Simplesmente linda essa casa 😮
As a car enthusiast and car lover, I would be looking all over the place for those car keys so I can save the cars and get them fixed up and running again after sitting there for years!
Agreed! I kinda want some of those chairs and lamps. It's all rusting and turning to dust anyways.
Cars are junk
Yeah the Mercedes looked like an AMG model with those wheels. Someone very small ,drove/owned it, the seat was pushed very close to the steering wheel. The VW looked to be close to new. Absolutely no wear on the top or the interior and was a 5 or 6 speed manual transmission. It looked like a 2009 or 2010 model. The Mercedes was older, probably early 2000's or late 90's model. It looked to be a nice car too. Looked like it had a two tone gray and blue leather interior to match the silver and blue top.
Such a fab find. I wonder if the smaller areas were for staff?
The slippers are from the Plaza Hotel in New York!
Casa lindíssima dos sonhos abandonada.q triste .abraços do Brasil.
Dr.
That house is something extra!!!
omg the staircase!!!
That's an awful shame💔
The new clothes and shoes were killing me lol
I just have to say that those tiny tvs (at least for the size of the rooms) remind me of Michael Scott’s “That is a $200 plasma screen tv that you just killed!” 😂
Here I am stuck at home, wishing I wish with you on your adventures!
That’s gut wrenching to see the Christmas tree still standing
