I got the 14" M1 Max with 2T ssd and all maxed in it and yes, it's a fantastic machine, does evthing I need with zero problem. Personally I am coming from a 2012 mbp 13" and what a relief after purchasing it.

Literally ordered the M1 Max right now and then watched this. 100% agree the m2 Max won't be a huge upgrade and this computer will last years.

I have an MB Pro 13 M1, and after two years, my battery health is 99%, and I still get >16hrs SOT doing my office workflow. I do use an app called AlDente to stop charging at 85% (variable). That 80-100% charging kills the battery cycle count, and if battery longevity is important, then I would not charge beyond 85%.
There are many reasons why I love the M1 Macs; battery life is obviously right up there, but just as remarkable is that even resting on my cushion on a hot day, my Mac stays cold to the touch. I have tried that on my Galaxy Book Pro, and it will get hot, and fans will start up, and that is just doing word docs.
Unless you need specific Windows apps or are a gamer, the MacBook lineup was the best laptop in 2022 and will remain number one in 2023.

Glad I waitied...NOT for M2 but got the M1 Max for $2800. And so happy that M2 is NOT a big leap in peformance. Saved me lot of cash!

Nice video and compelling Video title and ig the most people are gona go for the base model as it gets most of the works done in a easy way but I'm not a big fan of the notch that apple has done it looks weird On a laptop

I think you do not understand what is battery health , ant battery is a consumable , and that's perfectly normal that your battery health lost 2 % on 1 year ... seing your usage , there is nothing weird... it's chemical and with use and time it will always slowly but surely degrade.... you have more than 10 years before you'll need to replace your battery ... people need to be educated on this, it"s always worked this way and always will as long as it's with chemicals ... the difference is in the past Mac OS will not let you know so easily your battery health....
