Bro, you talking about HX Stomp so much made me buy one. Ha! Just now building a minimalist pedalboard and your videos are prime man. Thanks for all of your content.
That's awesome!
I guess I'm going to have to start buying some pedals for my acoustic now after watching this lol. - Dillon
Yes! Do it!
How is the space underneath? Can you fit the CIOKS and the midi controller you have underneath?
You thinking the bigger dual version would be better ? I’m thinking that’s likely to work better for larger Expression or traditional wah where sometimes you need it and sometimes you don’t. It’d be such an idea if this actually expanded to the right instead of the left, or could do either. Is that the case or is it strictly leftwards expansion?
that's interesting...I didn't even think about which direction it came out...but that's a good thought
I’m in the process of downsizing again, and working towards a midi board. I’ve noticed that you also don’t have an external delay pedal.
I’ve got an HX Stomp running my amps/cabs/delay/modulation, a walrus R1 reverb and a Jackson audio Asabi for Drive. I’ve also got the TC electronic hyper gravity mini compressor.
How do you use your midi controller to control the delay in your stomp? Can you do individual BPM/delay type per song?
Great question. Recently, I've been setting everything up with snapshots. In the global settings you can set whether or not you want bpm to be "global' 'per preset' or 'per snapshot'. So I go in an set up my bpm's in advance (since I'm usually only playing 4-5 songs a weekend). I don't find myself tapping anymore. And I love the delays in the Stomp and find them to be more than I need. but I def eyed that D1 when it came out.
I'll also say that the Stomp is really good with delay in that I can set any parameter I want to change per snapshot. Meaning, I can change mix, feedback, and even note division, which is really great!
This is so cool you should definitely go all white board since you have a black board !
Agreed
How did you find mounting your cioks power supply underneath? Mine barely fits - I’ve maxed the feet out - and have it just past the front of the board
Bought one of these mini boards, my telescope motion also tightens up when it's pushed in, but I won't dock points for that. I will, however, dock points for not having an expandable carrying case to go with it, Mary Poppins style ;)
haha...for real...what power supply did you get? Here's a video of how the Cioks dc7 fits: ruclips.net/video/0D1gDTV2mes/видео.html
@@HeyWorshipLeader I used the Cioks DC7 as well, but I almost went with mounting a Mission Engineering 529i battery pack up top instead.
any way to assemble it so that it will expand to the right instead of to the left like what you are doing?
It might...I can't remember and I gave it away! :)
Question? Does it come with a bag? If so does it expand as well ? How would a bag or case work with this? 🤔
There is a bag for another $99. Looks like it's the size of the biggest dimension and then you can just have room for your cables if you want like they have pictured here: www.amazon.com/DAddario-Accessories-PW-XPNDPB-01-Pedalboards/dp/B08YGW3T7Y?crid=1IEV1S2X4A5WV&keywords=xpand%2Bpedalboard&qid=1646841056&s=musical-instruments&sprefix=xpand%2Cmi%2C65&sr=1-3&th=1&linkCode=sl1&tag=heyworshiplea-20&linkId=d610b313eff82b3fa361ac3cb2ecf268&language=en_US&ref_=as_li_ss_tl
@@HeyWorshipLeader cool, thx
How would you power this board. It did not appear to have much room under board for a power supply?
You're right! I need to do a follow up...my DC7 fits, but barely.
@@HeyWorshipLeader Interesting! You think a CS6 will fit? I would seriously consider purchasing if that was possible
the background music is tasty…but besides that, thanks for the video!
Thanks man!
I need a small pedalboard, but it needs to support a power brick underneath..... it looks like the Mono you showed, is flat and won't support a power brick underneath. While the D'Addario has an angle to it (good).... I do not think it has enough room for many power bricks. I would prefer dual lock over velcro, and D'Addarrio should let the users put what they want on there. I would almost say dual lock has become a standard for at least 60% of the guitar players who use a pedalboard. The other problem with the D'Addario XPND.... the case doesn't fit, well it fits the UN-expanded pedalboard; sorry but I want a small pedalboard and a case that holds the board with all my pedals on it. ..... STILL LOOKING......
Here's a very short video I made of the Cioks DC7 fitting under....it's tight
Some constructive criticism. Please fix the F'Ing focusing, Please! Haha. Otherwise good vid! 👍🏼
should've seen this video earlier, I've just got a bigger board.....
I know that feeling
