A procession, prayers, and hymns in honor of the Virgen de la Peña (Virgin of the Rock) is a religious event.
The procession was attended by all the entities, associations and people who have been asking the Virgin for this throughout the year and have a special respect for her, a procession that also commemorates 30 years since the bearers were agents of the Local Police. Surrounded by hundreds of Mijas residents and visitors, the patron saint of Mijas toured the town in her temple, holding the baton of command of the Town Hall as perpetual mayor and rocked by the melodies of the Mijas Music Band and the Las Lagunas Musical Group Virgen Vaya. through the streets in this spectacular way.
