I've owned 3 Cayenne S's from that era. I loved the 26.4 gallon gas tank and how big and comfortable the seats are. The air suspension is so handy here in snowy Colorado. I'm jealous!
Always loved what Porsche did with the Cayenne when they entered the SUV market. Made to rival Range Rover, still drove and performed like a Porsche according to reviews I saw and read at the time. Built like a tank. Very impressive at first attempt!
The early 2000's VAG cars are a lot politer than modern cars "please refuel" on the dash rather than just a beep and fuel light 🤪 I always thanks my mk5 golf for being so polite but just swear at my mk6and say "why can't you be polite like the mk5 🤣🤣

Any cheap used V8 that doesn't burn a big hole to maintain will do for me... Not really into raw power 😅 This NA V8 Cayenne fits my criteria spot on 🏆... Great honest review Calvin 👍
This Porsche driver says you just might not be entirely right in regards to maintenance. Never forget the old anecdote which says the word Cayenne is German. It translate to "HOW MUCH ???!?". Sad, but often true.
Great vid of a great motor Calv. If originally from Porsche Colchester (reg number would suggest so) I recon it was a demo I spec’d. Many of our Cayenne company cars were all blacked out with big spec’s. Proper job that.
had a 2003 cayenne turbo, and wow what a car it was and for value cant be beaten, ended up selling at 5k with 90k miles with air sus, heated front rear n steering wheel, everything u could want😂

If the rear headphones are Bose then the rear seat entertainment isn't aftermarket it was a optional extra back then but I forgot what package they called it and came with

@@Shamsul211 These cars can find a lot of ways to break your wallet, not just by the engine... Especially if you got one with all the "spec" fitted. To be fair, probably not many V6:s that does. Might still be worth it though, depending on what one is looking for, thats why I got a turbo one. Not a commuter car, thats for sure.

They said ‘would you like a radio?’. The cheapest Was £800, in 1987. And VW Golfs back then. 5th gear was a factory cost option, you couldn’t really…..avoid paying for 😂
I drove one what a machine miss that job at the used car showroom I used to work at .i drove some lovely cracking cars . That's like a vw toureq and a Bentley. audi. Very strange. from Memory you had to take the passenger seat off to get to the battery bit of pain if I'm honest
the engine is good the only thing that destroy the car is the triptronic if that fails the car will get in lipmode and you will only get to drive for 70 km/h = 40 mp/h.and its said by alot of porsche mechanics said that it is the worst thing one the 1st gen cayenne

Calvin you need to start thinking outside of the box, Ireland, the emerald Isle, the land of saints and scholars, I have a wicked 2000 plate W208 on a vanity plate (unheard of in Ireland) 66,000 miles I'm the 3rd owner for 18 years car runs and drives, and this baby roars, come visit my yard is a country house, 15 minutes from rosslare port....
I had that car with that engine. Wasted fuel abnormally, 20 to 25 liters, breaks down often and maintenance is like driving a Boeing 747. Car shit, I celebrated when I got rid of it ..

I don't no why you don't run one of your older stock cars as your daily tbh calv you've said it yourself you do no more than 200 mile a week. Personally if it was me I'd run about in something like the jaguar xj 308 v8 you did a video on beast of a car and let's not forget you've got the range rover sport as the family whip. Something like the v8 jag is pocket money to you and then you've no money tied up like you keep saying and all that ready cash to buy more stock it's a win win

2200kg is for the post 2010 as the ditched the proper 4x4 system. The early ones are a little heavier.
Own a 3.6 2008 model. Great road presence and surprisingly good fuel economy. Beast of a car with a premium badge 👌

Well....the V6 is reasonable in fuel consumption. The 4.5 V8 does burn quite a lot of fuel.

These were known to be over engineered, for the most part except for the odd silly fail, the mechanicals are solid.
