Please do Prisoner of Azkaban, Goblet of Fire, (the) Order of the Phoenix, Halfblood Prince and Deathly Hallows (I and II) too! I'm LOVIN' it! Not just because of your particular way of looking at things, but also because I'm quite a fan of Harry Potter!
Hello Tom :) Thank you so much for the video. As a big fan of Harry Potter, I really love your videos about the film. I find them quite fun and useful for practising pronunciation. So, I'd be pleased to see the other ones like Harry Potter and The Prisoner Of Azkaban etc. Have a nice weekend :)
This is the HP movie I've seen probably more than 20 times and I ended up memorizing many of the dialogues. I've also developed some sort of a British accent because of it. Haha. I can't use British English in my job; I need to maintain the American accent to teach. But every now and then, that British intonation pops up out of nowhere and amuses my students. 😅 Thank you for the wonderful videos, Tom. I love your accent and I am learning a lot from you. You are a wonderful, wonderful teacher! 💖
@@EatSleepDreamEnglish Hi, Tom! I'm from the PH. I have a neutral accent but it's fun to try and put on other accents. My Chinese students mostly learn British English at school so I make it a point to educate myself on the language in order to understand and teach them better. Thank you for making these helpful videos. You're a legend!
I've got 3 things to say. Firstly, the word 'mum' is 'mom' in AmE. Learnt this recently. Secondly, the vowel sound in 'mud' in Northern English accents sounds a bit different from the /u/ sound, in my ears: it's more like a short /o/ sound (or sth in between). Please clarify. And lastly, you're outstanding, mate.
At last someone who can the th δ sound! You could easily learn Greek as we have this sound in our language 😁 I really enjoy your lessons, keep up the good work! Many greetings 💕💕
Omg I never realized that but the translation between the movies title is so different in German. So in German it's "Kammer des Schreckens" and that would be translated to Camber of shocks or maybe horrors, which is kinda different to secrets, isn't it?
Hi, I'm from Russia :) I hadn't noticed all those accents before, just Hagrid and Professor McGonagall. Thanks a lot, very interesting to listen to you!
Tom when you did the mcgonigal accent you sounded like mrs doubtfire Also I come from south England and my accent is rp but with influences of cockney Love the channel
Greetings. American here. Just wanted to say, I have never heard another American say the word “boloney” as a expletive. I’ve only seen it on shows from the 90s or in animated features. Im from the South, so things might be different up North.
Hagrid's pronunciation of "boot" is interesting. I think it's the only time I have ever heard someone say "boot" so that it rhymes with "put" instead of "root". "To egg someone on" is used a lot on the US also.

I love Harry Potter a Lot! Well recently, I came across Aladdin actress Naomi Scott I find her British accent in interviews and her past Videos on IG maybe RP Contemporary? I hope perhaps you could analysed her informal ways of speaking sounds comfy? I love the way she speaks 😍😍😊 Thank you...

Yeah I had to actually check the script to see if it was 'boot'. Sounded like 'buzz' to me.

Isn't there a rhotic British accent? I've heard that there's one. Maybe a countryside accent? I dunno. Please I need to know this.
You're right. There is one. I believe that the way Hagrid speaks in general is the accent you're thinking of now.
Yes that's the one. Thanks for answering Jwb52z : )
