Yes Rhys, exactly what solved my problem. Bloody unbelievable how silly something like that can make the car act up so much. Needless to say 85quid later it was all fixed and sorted.

Great to hear that you solved your issue... When my dad had that issue he took it to 2 different ford garages and they couldn't work it out but a day with an independent auto electrician did the trick. Plus 85 quid was cheap I think when we got it done it was around 200. Btw nice car and hopefully no more issues fingers crossed.

This may not help but my dad had a similar problem on his 06 St and it turned out to be the dials (speedo and rev counter)... Hope you get it fixed soon mate

Can you just Chuck any set of clocks in? Will all the mileage stay the same?

No the clocks are linked to the ECU

Hello, i got the same problem, how did you fix it, because the scanning informs a problem with the body acceleration and the acceleration pedal.

I fixed it by changing the instrument cluster. I was originally told it was the ecu but I heard of the cluster causing electrical issues so decided to change that first as it was cheaper. It was a straight swap however I needed the milage setting on the new clocks. Hope This helps. And your English is very good. 🤘

second hand matey. was out of a 29k mile car.

I have the same problem, I have just had it dropped into Pumabuild, they firstly tried changing the ECU, that hasn't worked now they are changing the clocks, Hope it works..

i also hope you resolve it, however it would of been more cost effective to of tried the clocks first. keep us posted as i get quite a few pm's about people having this problem

Wow, it was the Speedo clocks! unbelievable... Happy its fixed tho now, getting a piper exhaust fitted to treat her too :)
