The english one is so close to being good but it feels like he has all the energy at the beginning and then just nopes out by the time the move comes out. If he gave as much energy to the rest of the line as he did at the beginning it'd be perfect.
Its especially noticeable with Tyrant Rave. In JP he goes TYRANT RAAAAAAVE and keeps the energy the entire time, but for whatever reason, he goes TYRANT, and then lowercase rave and it kinda kills it. His “ENOUGH TALKING” is pretty good tho
Considering its Sol, coming out of a Bar fight isnt necessarly out of character, Sol main certainly have a reputation to keep and thats really how i saw them, all in or nothing
I am Japanese, so I like Jouji Nakata's voice best, which I am used to hearing, but I think the quality of the voices in all languages is high, with a "blunt" feel.
English is like Starting great but flopping at the end so. It also happens to other characters, even other games so from the same company. It aint that bad tho, mostly counting in how bad the english dub for DBFZ is sometimes.
Because that was the language it was originally meant to be heard in so the actors they hire are a lot more professional unlike dub voice actors which are usually freelancers
Man... the english sol could have been so good if he didn't sound so tired, i mean i get that sol never tries hard but c'mon! If he's going to dragon install at least make him scream it!
I prefer the english version of Sol Badguy because of the way the english VA conveys the kind of person Sol is as a person. I don't think a lot of Sol's personality comes across very well in his Japanese voice, and its because Sol's personality doesn't mesh well with Japanese as a language. I've linked an example of some of the best conveyance of personality below: ruclips.net/video/h_QFrfw5pBY/видео.html And here's the same moment in the Japanese version: ruclips.net/video/z3HXXg1Jq5A/видео.html I just don't think his Japanese voice hits all that hard outside of combat. And thats really what it comes down to. His Japanese gets across the cool shit in his fighting, and his english gets across more of his personality.
Plus, Sol is described as a quite lazy dude. He probably wouldn't tear his lungs while shouting the name of the attack like Japanese VA does. He would just sound angry.
Some stuff sounds really good but others feel weak in comparison to the japanese ver, like the Tyrant rave in English Japanese : Tyrant! RAAAVE! English: TYRANT! rave
He's got some pretty funny voice lines too. When you do gunflame feint he'll say things like "Oooh, I gotcha!" and during wild throw he grabs you and said "This'll hurt!" and sounds pretty excited to be slamming your face into the ground so hard the dirt explodes
It's the least popular opinion but I just feel like the Japanese voice is the weakest choice. The voice is great, just not on Sol. Both the Korean and English voices are deeper and have a rasp to them that fits him perfect. I like English overall the most but Korean definitely blows the supers out of the park.
My god that english Tyrant Rave was the weakest i have ever heard! It started out good but fell off so badly at the end! He didn't even try to scream out Rave!
@@iimraiju He’s definitely different from the Japanese version but not in a bad way, he’s great in his own right and does give off the feeling he doesn’t wanna put in more effort than he needs to
@@wolfkiller4 This feels like the whole dub across the board. Like Happy Chaos has two fantastic voices but entirely different approaches, Japanese being unimpressed and trying to find entertainment while the English version is having a blast the whole time.
Yep his English voice is absolute trash. People liking it have got to be coping. There are good English dubs(See Blizzard games, for example), this is not one of them.

For the delivery of VV I think it helps a lot I think, especially on clean hit. Almost sounds auto-timed to the tempo of the hits

@@JohnGlow2 I still prefer David’s Xrd dub in a lot of places. “ENOUGH TALKING” is great but “I’ve had enough... OF YOUR WHINING” is better
Dragon install in english sounds good 👍
That “Instaaaahhhl!” On Korean is great
I love how angry it sounds
Being able to hear jacko is weird cuz im too familiar with the loud ass explosion at the end of dragon install
It's kinda funny seeing the massive explosion while just hearing her going "aah." "well that's gonna scar"
Heavy Mob Cementery without sounds be cursed:
Korean Sol is my preferred. Still sounds raw. English sounds like he came out of a bar fight, but still good.
Considering its Sol, coming out of a Bar fight isnt necessarly out of character, Sol main certainly have a reputation to keep and thats really how i saw them, all in or nothing
Japanese version of tyrant rave is too good
english sol sounds like a smoker that burns trough 5 packs per day.
That’s literally more or less lore accurate, so i’m a fan
@@JohnGlow2 and why is that lol?
@@tabkg5802 because he WAS a heavy smoker before he was turned into a prototype gear. He’s also partially dragon at this point and pushing 200
@@JohnGlow2 he even smoked after he was turned into a gear in the manga, but we don't really know when he dropped it.
Sol literally smokes bullets in his Xrd intro
0:13 is it me, or Korean Sol kinda sounds like TF2 Medic right there?
Sol Gaming
Just you
English Sol honestly sounds perfect if not better than JP in the movie but his voice lines during a fight are so much better in JP
I am Japanese, so I like Jouji Nakata's voice best, which I am used to hearing, but I think the quality of the voices in all languages is high, with a "blunt" feel.
How this doesn't have comments baffles me but thanks for the comparison!
No problem, I kinda rushed this video anyways
Man these voice actors are am- IS THAT BUG MAN??
bug man if he was a badguy
Liu association Gregant in my strive?
For the Supers, Korean and Japan goes so hard, while English is like, "Eh, this is good enough."

All I know is people usually don't like the language they understand and prefer the others

English needs to slow down the endings, he sounds like he rushes them compared to the others
Honestly korean guilty gear voice-lines are so slept on

If Dual Rulers gets dubbed in many different nations. I'd like to see their portrayal of Sol and Sin.
holy shit gregor limbus company :3
*Gets hit once.*
*C O U N T E R !*
"Yaruka, Tyrant RAVE!!!!"
*SLASH!*
Turns out that in Korean is literally my husband (Gregor)
WAIT
BUG GUY VOICED BY SOL VA?
@@Meowsamurai yuh-huh
i guess the english guy needs to sound like naoki, or even distort the voice a bit to sound both american and hardcore anime
oh god no i hear gregor now
korean tyrant rave really is underrated

poor jack-o
Korean is so close to perfection
yorokobe shounen

Oh no
The Korean actor sounds almost like Robin Atkins Downes!

not sure about Jōji Nakata voicing Sol , but gess its caz the voice of Alucard is too stuck in me that its almost like its him talkig
