Oh lord!! I loved this show so much!! Life just stopped on Thursday nights once the show started. Would love to see it from the beginning all over again. 👍🏼❤️❤️
"It makes a difference you stupid drunk." God when this show was good it was awesome! Gary was so wallowing in self pity he just gave up. The scene with Valene talking to him on the jail phone: "Your giving up your life for hers (Ciji's) means absolutely nothing!"
About 7 years later (though it seemed like longer), David Lynch washed Laura Palmer up on the beach of a town called Twin Peaks, wrapped in plastic. Twin Peaks was meant to be a surreal satire on soaps and I’m convinced Lynch found some inspiration from Knots Landing and more specifically, in part, from the storyline of Ciji’s murder. Laura Palmer’s murder tore the town of Twin Peaks apart, every other character became a suspect, and there was a huge twist with the eventual reveal of her killer (though way weirder a twist than anything you’d see on Knots). Also similar to Knots, Twin Peaks brought Laura Palmer “back from the dead” when they cast Laura’s actress Sheryl Lee as Laura’s cousin Maddy, who visits Twin Peaks to attend Laura’s funeral and becomes embroiled in the drama herself. She then sadly, and VERY disturbingly graphic for a network television show at the time, fell victim to the same killer as Laura.
I remember this when I was in grade school. I missed this episode and was asking a classmate what happened. She told me, and I asked if they showed the body, and she said yes.
@@QueenAlexis556 It was. In my town Knots Landing came on Wed. nights, Dallas on Thurs. and Dynasty on Fri. I used to catch them all. I didn't like Falcon Crest or Hotel that much. Those were kind of boring.
@@Pllm30 same here. I despised Falcon Crest, I tried to watch Hotel, but never got into it. I never missed Dallas, Dynasty, or Knots Landing if I could help it!!
I remember this beach house And the end of this episode & the water & seaweed & the body…my aunt must have been watching this. I didn’t get into to Knots until 1985 (hight school) I was a Dynasty kid at 9 years old.
@@lisamartin3734 Yes. Back then even if you were an alcoholic your family still kept liquor in the house for guests and holidays. You just knew enough not to go near it.
"It makes a difference, you stupid drunk!" I always loved it when Abby let the manipulative mask slip and she showed Gary what she really thought of him.
I remember this well. Gary blacked out when Ciji died, so he no alibi to give police when he got arrested. Abby wanted him to go to jail so she could get control of his fortune and Gary made no effort to fight the murder rap as he wallowed way too much in his own pity. It took Val, the only person who really cared for him, to reach him to stop wallowing and be responsible and fight.

I was in 8th grade when this episode aired. Knots Landing was best during 1982-1987!!

@@TTROY1 Yeah, you're right, but it was soooo long ago. I'm surprised anyone remembers those times. Those were back in TV Guide days. LOL

Gary and Abby did some good acting
The look on Gary's face when he discovered ciji dead
Thanks for the Upload 👍 !! XD
Who was that hot guy with the big mustache. Ted Shackleford was so adorable.
Why was there alcohol in the house?
Back then things were different. In todays world we know more about addiction issues than back then. Times have changed.

Back in those days people kept liquor in the house regardless. If you were an alcoholic you knew better than to go near it.
i love her miss her
I know the show for years but know Im watching from beggining . Its terrible how Ciji ended . She was great
Lisa Hartman black was a striking resemblance of Melissa Sue Anderson.

Bring back knots Dallas dynstany Colby all the other old school series.
I think the shows producers didn't realize that they killed off such a popular character such as ciji
Same as it was with Bobby on Dallas and lujack on guiding light.
The writers didn't actually and the producers accepted.
Abby was so good too
NEVER MISS IT MISS IT UES WACH AT AT RACHEL HOUSE YES VERY GOOD PROGRAMMES YES

Well said john
Val confronted ciji once was that because she thought she and Gary were involved with she went to jail for assault or was that attempted murder?
Can't believe ciji was dead
Poor Gary . Not knowing if he did a crime
Knots was a GREAT show but too much GARY and too much Val
