Oh my goodness! No don’t beat yourself up over it! As a woman (if that’s the gender you’re aiming for): 1) Body and confidence is really enough to aim for for that initial attraction. 2) Women (a lot of women I guess) stay for the personality and your emotional connection. Women will dump even the hottest guy for someone who’s interesting. And the guys who get picked for the long haul need to be kind, the toxic and drama-filled relationships don’t last (and are probably not what we should be aspiring for anyway because they’re exhausting). 3) What your hobbies are and how well they match with the woman you’re after is wayyy more important than being the hottest. 4) Generations of people have been falling in love with and having babies with people who look like you. 5) This pilots obviously taken so you don’t need to worry about him specifically taking anyone you’re interested in. 6) Attraction is more complicated than we think it is. the person you’re comparing yourself to who seems like the sexiest man alive to you doesn’t always seem that way to other people. For example in college I had crushes on a few guys on our rowing team, who were like at least 6’5” and above. They were so physically intensely attractive like this pilot, I thought I would have so much competition. But I was wrong. Every single woman I talked to said the rowers were way too tall for them, they were so tall that it made them not attractive anymore. Tallness on me has the opposite effect. But that’s the reality. I’ve also regularly been attracted to guys with dad bods and a good, kind personality. Meanwhile, I’ve never thought in my life that any of the celebrities in the hottest men alive lists were actually hot. There js such a thing as a guy being objectively hot, but I still dont find him attractive. it actually happens all the time. long story short, do not worry. dont beat yourself up. just take it easy. If youre interested in fitness, work on your fitness, but also because it's good for us and the key to longeivity and all that.
