@@sdohnisvinoreih hiya, i haven't a clue how many hours they have under their belt. i don't think they have worked as flying instructors. they enrolled with CEA flight training, where they both did training in Oxford, Gatwick and then to Arizona. Once they passed the necessary requirements they could apply to the airlines. Good luck to you if you are interested in going down that route. Lots of hard work and horrendous expense. hopefully worth it in the end.
It varies depending on the duty and where you’re going. The maximum is 12 hours, standard is about a 10 hour duty. Plus driving time to and from the airport

@ yes I understand my friend. But don’t let that stop you! Go for it and finance it the best way you can. Some airlines offer training programs with loans. Just do it! I drove a taxi part time for a few years to help pay for my training. It was good!

So you got the hang of it. Do this: start waking up between 2 and 3 in the morning from now on, because this will be a routine in your life, maybe for a good 15 years or more.

I haven’t done the course, but I don’t think they do. It does not say it is included and anyway, you shouldn’t do a TR until you know which aircarft the company is going to put you on. You do your type rating with the company!
Hi! Just a question, how do you know what airlines you can work for after your training, would the flight school tell you? Oh and also would the airline base you on an airport that is local to you or just a random one?
The airline you can work for depends on where your pilot's license is issued. For example, if you have a UK-issued ATPL, you can work for airlines like Jet2, British Airways, and Easyjet but not many other European airlines like Ryanair and Wizz. The opposite is true if you have an EASA-issued ATPL. Check the requirements for the airlines you want to work for and make sure you get the correct license for them. If you want to work in the US then the FAA ATPL is the one you need. In terms of where you are likely to be based, it depends on many factors. First of course your license. If you for example work for EasyJet and have a UK-issued license then you will be based in the UK but if you have an EASA-issued license then you'll be based in Europe. Secondly, the airlines will basically base you where they need pilots. It's usually random but some airlines do give you the option to pick your top 3 preferences and they will try to get you based in one of those 3.

Oli, mate, do you have to do maths a level? I absolutely hate maths but acknowledge that it’s necessary for becoming a pilot. Is the pilot course hard and does the autopilot work to line up at runway for landing too?
The autopilot can complete an entire flight from a to b if it wanted to. Yes, you use an ILS in a large aircarft.
Also yea I believe it’s about as difficult as you can imagine, but it’s worth it apparently!

You definitely don’t need maths at a level! Lots of people I trained with didn’t do maths at a level, but it helps!
