That syncopated section you replayed stays in time (4/4) with Aaron crackin' the snare on beat 3, for kind of a half-time feel. Listen again and clap the 4 beats, and you'll see. The syncopated horns and bass make it seem like a weird time signature, but it's not. Enjoyed your reaction! Dirty Loops is MIND BLOWING!!

This might be my favorite DL cover at this point. And they've done some MASTERPIECES regarding covers. I was nervous at first cuz they were stepping into so huge shoes, but to say they pulled it off is putting it way too lightly. It's outstanding. Jonah is just...*sigh*. Jon Lampley (trumpet) was a whole entire mood in this video. And I love how much fun Henrik was having. Aron is always so much fun to watch. I'm running out of words to express my adoration at this point for them (even though I just said a mouthful). And Cory Wong is funky beast himself. I'm really glad this collab happened.

Yo I Just Love How The Time Signature Went From A 6/8 To A 9/8 Back To A 6/8 And Then Seamlessly Transitions Into A 12/8.

absolutely amazing, band effort, but IMO it is the bass that lifts Dirty Loops from amazing to unreal in this song and in fact in pretty much all of their songs, the bassist (Henrik, I think) is just insanely good

@Da Bx key words in your statement are “don’t make sense to me”. The musicians that get them understand and appreciate how much sense they make. To each their own. If you delve deep enough into studying music theory they might start to make a little sense to you. However, if you don’t get it and don’t love them that is ok too. It is just the fact you asked that question to begin with that is a little off, since you see how much joy Josh gets from listening. Many of us have the same response. Why question someones joy?
