- It is our first time on the Discovery Princess! We have been on Carnival, Norwegian, and Royal Caribbean. Falyn and I sailed on Carnival Radiance a couple of months ago and it was time for another getaway. How will it compare to the other cruise lines, will we like it and will we come back? That is what we are here to find out!
The Discovery Princess was launched in March 2022, so we are excited to see what this ship has to offer! We are exploring the whole ship, trying the food, checking out the kid’s club, going to the shows, and seeing if we might find a new favorite ship!

If you ever cruise on Princess again, keep in mind that they serve a full lunch in one of the two mid-ship main dining rooms on Embarkation day. It's one of my favorite things about Embarkation day. I usually need a little snack before lunch opens at noon if I manage to get on the ship early so I grab a small bite from International Cafe or split a slice of pizza from the lido deck with my partner. But then lunch... oh my! I love the ravioli as an appetizer and then the tenderloin medallions for my main and the orange souffle for dessert. Yum! Thank you for your videos. We board the Discovery for the first time in 59 days and I can't wait.

When you said "It's not Royal" to the pizza, a part of me died inside. Princess supposedly has the best pizza at sea. I've found Royal's pizza to be very mediocre. Then again there are two different pizza places on Princes. That might not have been the best pizza at sea place. I guess I can forgive a little lol. I cannot wait to try the premium desserts.
The pizza at Gigi’s was really good. Might be the best, but for quick grab and go, we like Royal. But pizza is super subjective so you may love the pizza on princess. Enjoy your trip and thanks for watching! 🤙🏽
@@kingifam Agreed on it being subjective. I'm actually really hard to please when it comes to pizza. I love a good thick crust pizza but it is nearly impossible to find. So I've been making it myself lately 🙂
Good vid. But did you realize you need reservations for the MDRs? I don't sail on the Discovery for 2 months and already have mine for dinner all 7 nights (and still couldn't get into the Juneau MDR). Also, you were way underdressed for the MDR for dinner. Plus, most don't realize that the MDRs are all you can eat... within reason. They won't let you sit there for hours, but they'll bring you more of whatever they got on the menu, especially if you didn't like something.
Yes we had our set time for dinner but we still had to wait. Wasn’t too bad though overall. Thanks for watching! 🤙🏽

Y’all are hilarious! Lmao “pull it out” “smash it” “smash me” 😂 how would you compare this cruise line over Carnival? I plan on going in December with my 10 yr old and 19 year old. Is it kid friendly too?
Lol, thanks for watching! Watch our 2nd part for our final rankings! But in a nutshell, carnival if you want to party, princess if you want to relax. The kids will have a good time either way, but if they like to party, carnival. 🤙🏽
