    If you get a pet brush & brush the ends of the string it looks fluffy which you can glue down & they look lovely & old.

    I’m a net subscriber 3 months in and I enjoy watching your work! You are not just adding color to a bottle these look amazing! And I have you book in my Amazon cart! Do you have an special cabinet you place all your potions in?

    So cool! I was needing an “oil” recipe because I found a Target bottle this year for snake oil. Wondering if food coloring the oil would work to make it green and darker. 🤔😁

    • @CookingandCraftChick
      @CookingandCraftChick  2 года назад +2

      I’m not sure if the oil will take the color. The water/alcohol definitely will.

      @@CookingandCraftChick Worth a shot. If not the regular oil will be fine. 😊

    Another awesome video! I was also wanting to do an oil to add to my collection, but wasn't sure how to accomplish it besides just adding oil. How would something fair with an object like feathers or something in these ingredients?

    This oil vs water gives me an idea for the potions I'm trying to create these days. I'm going to try to find some new tricks thanks to this. Did you ever try mica powder in such a oil/water combo? Does it do something interesting?

    • @CookingandCraftChick
      @CookingandCraftChick  8 месяцев назад

      It does not mix with the oil. I only played with it a little. It may be something I need to play with more.

    How long do you keep your bottles ? I wan to make mime in miniature form. I love all your projects

    • @CookingandCraftChick
      @CookingandCraftChick  2 года назад

      I have had a lot of my potions for 5+ years. Sometimes miniature potions like to evaporate quickly so make sure to use rubber corks or really seal them well to help prevent it.

    These are awesome! So excited to see the coming videos. Can I ask a question? Do you keep/use separate glue guns when using colored glue (like the black) and when using your wax?

    • @CookingandCraftChick
      @CookingandCraftChick  2 года назад +1

      Yes I have like 14 glue guns 😂. It cuts down on waste in between color changes.

    What's your reason for swapping the cork to a rubber one?

    • @CookingandCraftChick
      @CookingandCraftChick  2 года назад +1

      The rubber cork helps with evaporation. Not to mention rubbing alcohol and cork can be used as a fire starter. It’s just a precaution. If you use distilled water and glycerin you don’t need to change the cork.

    • @aliciawilson3361
      @aliciawilson3361 2 года назад

      @@CookingandCraftChick do you think coating the cork in hot glue or modpodge would keep the cork safe and help with evaporation?

    Do you mix water with the Distressed Oxide or will it dry on its own after a few hours? Mine kept rubbing off.

  • @litaalger8346

      I figured that was not something they would have on the shelf just like a hair from my head. They would provide it over the cauldron fresh.
