I've had one of these for a year now and I love it. Conical burr grinders are the way to go. The pulse button on the front is useful for getting that one bean that won't go in. That wing nut is there because you can get parts for it from Baratza and replace them yourself, a rarity nowadays.
Good to know!
Great review! This is my coffee grinder and I love it. I appreicate that they sell parts online as I have already replaced the rubber funnel and the burr casing with the red line. Simple, easy, and inexpensive fix. I recommend using a shop vacume or a regular vacume with a removeable handle along with the included brush to clean the grinder and also use Grindz tablets (use 30 grind setting) as a monthly cleaning to absorb any oils from using dark roast beans. I also recommend using the 18 setting level for auto drip and Coffee Clever Dripper.
Awesome!!! I can just picture you grinding your coffee and fixing it!!! Thanks for sharing some great tips!!!!
One thing of note pretty sure even Baratza recommends- When going down grind sizes you should turn on the grinder and then go down in size- Makes sense as there might be stuck beans in between your last grind its easier on the mechanisms.
Thanks I will use that in the future.
Así es correcto
According the the Baratza user guide page 6, "Note: Partially ground coffee beans may remain between the burrs after the grinder is turned off. When making ANY grind adjustments, the grinder must be running."
Other Notes: I have had mine for 3 years now, have installed the M2 burr, weigh beans for single dosing so I don 't care how long the motor runs and use a cordless vac to clean the machine.
Good tip! Thanks makes alot of sense, thanks for telling me!!! I will use that in my future videos.
En este caso es de fino a grueso 😂, es de grueso a fino que debe estar encendido.
Aww wish you got the ESP model of this grinder, it is only a few dollars more but opens up the espresso grind range and is much better value for long term usage and offcourse espresso. I have been using my ESP now with the Wolf coffee maker for a month and its been great! I gave back the Kitchen aid grinder.
Awesome I didn't know they had coffee grinders now I do!
What else do they make?
@JustADad coffee makers but you have to type in baratza coffee maker
Great video/content! Definitely want to try your coffee out once its available! Thank you
Would love to see how this does vs Fellow Opus
I’m currently trying to decide on either this or KitchenAid. I know you’ve used both. Thoughts?
