One of the jedis masters said the sith have not been seen over 1,000 years so i think every single jedi that saw the sith is going to die.
The same Jedi Master that had no idea there was literally a Sith Lord Senator. Maybe he isn't the best repository for information.
The entire point of that movie was that the Jedi were wrong about the status of the Sith.
@@donemu9096 Hes just pointing out that the Jedi has no knowledge of Sith having been alive. Which means these Jedi can't pass that knowledge on one way or another.
Possible and I wouldn’t be shocked. Buuut…teaser trailers are notorious for faking out the audience. I’m almost positive that Dafne Keen’s “what’s that?” The red blade, and the battle are 3 different moments. They have a character blatantly telling us, trailer 1, “this is NOT about good or bad, this is about power and who is allowed to use it.” So I wouldn’t expect a Sith to be secretly (but blatantly to the audience) running about the place. I think it’s far more complex than that. This might ALLOW for a Sith’s return, eventually…I think whomever turns out to be wielding that red blade is going to be a quote “good Jedi.” And if the red blade is a late reveal, and then it’s 1 battle… death…. It could be shockingly easy to hide their true nature. Not every red blade user is a Sith Lord. I think if we compare this to dictatorships, this isn’t the battle that ushers it in… we see Order 66. This is all the trouble, possible violence, and the philosophical changes that influence people, sometimes years before.

Carrie-Anne Moss looks so Badass. She is perfect for a force user. Hopefully this story develops enough so we can get a high budget movie out of it. I want to see light sabers on the big screen.

That's Huyang and was built around 25.000 BBY - so is easily around for the High Republic (and many era before!!). Also Yaddle will be around at this stage of the HR.
tbh, I would kind of prefer if they would be cameos at best. I would love for this to be totally separate story with minimum (and at best none) familiar characters on screen

@@kptmaci4979Yea, it seems Huyang mostly teaches, so there isn’t a huge need to see him unless there’s a real conflict at the Temple. Maybe he works with the archives too.

I am so excited to see hand to hand combat force use. Its been barely used in the movies except maybe one or two moves in a lightsaber battle. Im stoked!
Loved the idea of a series leading into a movie, then you could have lines like "That business on Cato Nemoidia doesn't- doesn't count" with added layers of depth where casual observers could see the dynamic between characters, and super fans could get the reference from a completely separate story. Excellent reaction gentlemen!

Am I the only one that wants to see Carrie Anne Moss do the Trinity Matrix kick on a Sith haha. I would have liked it to be even further back like 500 -1000 years. No Tatooine and have more exploring galaxy. Looks great hopefully it can deliver. 😊
Yeah, I would have preferred them go back even further as well. You know the likes of Yoda, Yaddle, Chewbacca, Plo Koon, etc, are still around and if I had to bet, I'm going to say that this may be Darth Plagueis or someone who is going to 'rediscover' the Sith or whatever (doesn't really matter that they're Sith at this point or not, they'll at least be Dark Side users who are in opposition to the Jedi and Order) and it still feels like it's going to set up Sheev. I suspect we may even see a young Sheev and his apprenticeship to Plagueis or whoever they decide is his master. Either way, just like the PT were a setup to the setup of OT, this feels like it could still be the setup to the setup to the setup of OT. I wouldn't have minded something like KoToR, thousands of years prior, completely disconnected.

Love the darker tone so far! Really looking forward to a story set outside the timeframe of the movies. And especially one with a potentially darker protagonist.
Carrie-Ann Moss (trinity) is 100% the Sith Apprentice - you never see her with the other jedi - you never see her lightsaber - only time you see her is when she's "fighting" with the "assassin" - and you don't see who the red-lightsaber wielding figure is at the end. Gonna be dope.

Look at IMDB. It only lists her in a single episode. Unfortunately I think she’s a major Jedi who dies, and they’ve gotten someone of her experience to portray a crucial moment, very quickly. She draws far too much attention to be the reveal. That’s too easy.

This show only works if every single person that comes in contact with this sith dies.
Most likely the information won't get passed on, most probably by killing them all, like you said. And even if they do rewrite lore, who tf cares, it's one line. It's not like George Lucas didn't do this himself.

And Hector, 'Lor San Tekka' wasn't played by Christopher Plummer, he was portrayed by Max von Sydow. 🌑 Star Wars Holocron and Wookieepedia have told me we've seen 'Mae', 'Sol', 'Qimir', 'Jecki Lon', 'Yord Fandar', 'Vernestra Rwoh', 'Mother Aniseya', the Wookiee 'Kelnacca' and 'Indara' in this trailer. Looks great to me.

Retaining an existing subscriber is just as profitable as getting a new subscriber. Disney needs to keep people from unsubscribing for months so they need a new Marvel or Star Wars show constantly. They also release them UHD and Blu-ray to make profit
To be fair, many who unsubscribe don't come back for future projects, because they're not waiting for a new season of She-Hulk or whatever, they're completely done. That's the biggest issue Disney+ is having... People not coming back at all.

@Hektor: Yes the MARVEL and Star Wars fans are in, but there is such a thing as retention. If you do not get enough of what you want, you might decide to leave again. Currently it is just enough to keep me, but it is close. I do not have kids and other stuff on D+ is not that exciting - for the most part. Shogun does a good job, though, to reexcite me for D+. More in that vein would work for me, too.

The main Sith Lord has got to be either Darth Plagues or Darth Tennibriss. Plagues being a Mun lives for centuries and dies at the end of episode 1 when sidious gets him wasted and force lightning him to death. If we don’t get Plagues I’ll be really pissed. Also if we do get him and he isn’t looking all alien like I’ll be let down just like with Gorr from Thor 4

I'm pretty sure this is based off Star Wars High Republic novels. Which are amazing books! If you guys get a chance, give em a read. It'll hype ya for this series.
I thought that was Trinity but I wasn't sure exactly but to actually see her in a Star Wars type of thing is crazy by itself. But the prequel before the Prequels should be very interesting

I really needed to brush up on my Star Wars lore bc I was getting confused with when this takes place and when KOTOR takes place. The high republic is after the old republic, but I didn’t know that, so I was getting confused on the Jedi having not seen a Sith for a while. And I was thinking to myself, “wasn’t Darth Malgus making major moves around this time?”, not realizing that this show is actually about 4 thousand years after Malgus’ time 🤯
I love the High Republic so much and am so excited about this show... BUT I can't believe I skipped Phase II of the novels/comics BECAUSE IT'S ALL COMING TOGETHER AND JTS's CHARACTER IS THE PROOF OF IT AND I-

plo koon in that one scene .... but yeah, Star Wars theory has a good point with what was said, and one of the Phantom Menace characters the tall headed guy, said the Sith have been extinct for a millennium... so yeah, encounters with the Sith. No one should be able to survive because it would pass on the knowledge so everybody must die to keep continuity. We will see I'm optimistic but very cautious. I'm always excited for new Star Wars.

This is really interesting! Cant wait to see it. This is some new interesting territory to do some original new series of whole new star wars! I hope its like what House of the Dragon is to GoT. Prequel set at high of power of species who is dying off later on (dragons vs jedi). This has potential to be really good. I really hope it reminds us of Star Wars Visions - new different, just simply peaceful and prospering corners of galaxy with jedi being only peacekeepers at times, roaming around, keeping tabs on simple people and ensuring everything is alright.
Don't forget ki adi Mundi says the sith haven't been seen in a millenia. 1000 years so I have been wondering since Yoda is less than one thousand years, would he have been alive to see a true sith. I feel like episode one is when we first see the emergence of the sith in the millenia. Just a question to ponder.

I don’t think it’s that convenient, but I do like the idea that the lines of who “deserves” to be killed off are being entirely blurred. Like capital punishment. Or even Ahsoka being thrown out of the Order. They came to that conclusion so fast. Is there a situation where someone’s been misunderstood and now goes “bad?”
