I LOVED doing BG work. I did it for years in New Mexico and have played everything from a pedestrian to a surgeon. My desire was not to be famous, just to act. I am a nurse in real life so background acting, even though it can get VERY stressful, was a stress relief. Have fun and enjoy these roles. ☺️

I did BG in Georgia for 9 months about 10 years ago (when it was $64/8 btw bc non union state lol)…I had no idea what I wanted to do in life (was 28 at the time) and it let me still have some free time to apply for jobs while also making some money to keep afloat. Keep on keepin on ❤️

One piece of advice: maybe post videos like this, but just make them a little shorter? Like, if you had this whole video, but cut out enough to get it down to about 10 minutes? I feel like it would make the content more digestible for wider audiences.

BuThat's not true, Eday payment depends on Clicks per Rate / Clicks per View... that just means how frequent people are clicking on the video to watch. Then payment comes down to how much businesses are willing to pay for an ad to run on my videos. To be transparent, at the moment Im making $6.57 per 1K view on a video. ...happy to elaborate more in a video.... But remember every channel is different, every channel has different engagement. Whatever you read about is not true for every creator.

i literally am in the point in my life where i dont want to do office job anymore and just trying to be patient for more few days to quit.and even without being sure what i will do after that . am in IT bg but just want to take nail tech training and see where it takes me.the stress to feel secure on my crazy thought never been easy .watching her content starting from loosing her job and now trying her best makes me keep hoping that life is not a standard it is a trial and journey .God bless everyone in the same shoe.and thanks for taking us with your life journey .. aplogy for my eng just not my first lang .peace

I’ve been an extra a few times before in London, and Ive had to sit in holding for so long! 5h+ and sometimes they took my phone away and put it in a box. The food is good usually though! I mostly just talk to other extras all day. But it can be exhausting.
How did you get into it?? Which agency did you contact and how was the pay??

How do you prove the hours that you worked? Like, you mentioned arriving before 6:30. Do you clock in somewhere to prove you were there at like 6:00 A.M. to get compensate ld for that extra half hour?
Great question! we check in with a coordinator and that's how they know we are there.

Is non-SAG still paying $75/day? I did BG stuff way way back, but back then, SAG BG paid $150/day and Non-SAG was $75/day.

lol! I don't do glamours/shiny makeup. My hair is okay for now. I'm not really that into being shiny for the camera. I thought that was necessary before but its not needed anymore. Thank you for the thoughts though! :)

Great question! My apartment is rent controlled, its is a 400 Square feet full size studio and the rent is $1280! But I just got a notice a few days ago that's its increasing to $1350! I've paid 1280 for 3 years so I guess its time!
@@xoxoakouto WOW. Is 400 sqft big for an apartment... And it shouldn't matter how long you've been paying 1280 per month, unless some renovations happened to your studio or your building, there's no valid reason to raise the rent. Property taxes don't go up that much and the mortgage damn sure ain't goin up, unless the landlord was dumb enough to get a variable rate mortgage, then he's just screwing emself.
@@JubeiKibagamiFezI didn't even know variable rate mortgage existed😮 why? That doesn't make any sense. Who came up with that? And as long as u choose to live to live by rent u just agree to a raise unless u move out😅
@@edayavuz1667 Greedy banks came up with that, most likely The Federal Reserve was the first to propose and implement variable rate mortgages to take advantage of home owners trying to save some money on interest rates, but it's 100% a scam. Variable rates always go up and they always skyrocket... Nothing more than a way for the greedy banks to make a quick billion here and there or at worst foreclose on a lot of houses and sell them at auction for full price... Or even worse, get into the rental game themselves, and turn the house into a four family slum rental.

I am trying not to sound like mean because omg I mean this good. But you need to work on the general way you present yourself? Your skin, face, hair and personality are all beautiful but I feel like they aren’t all used/ enhanced to work for you. I am sorry if I sound like a mean person. I just feel like I had to? Or maybe I don’t have a right. The wig for example.

She presents herself just fine. There's nothing wrong with her appearance. She's normal. She doesn't look unkempt at all. Do you expect her to look like a fake plastic barbie, complete with botox, extreme contouring, and implants? She looks like a human being. And she's beautiful.

I really think you should take a little more time to explain what you mean. I’m sure YTers want constructive critique and as a brand new YTer myself, I don’t want to discourage anyone who means well but want to provide tips. But I also hope that we are all aware of the context of each YTer. I haven’t seen all Akouto’s videos just yet so this could be her very first video like this and if it is, I personally would allow her a lot of grace to figure out what works for her. ALSO, as a black woman, I kinda feel self conscious that I’m not a wig person. I feel like knowing wigs should be a must so it’s kinda nice to see that I’m not the only person who’s not an expert on wigs. So i truly believe that as Akouto grows into this YT experience, there will be growth in other areas in her life that may include her wig knowledge. Let’s follow and find out 😊
