Rent out a room in your big house. makes sense for Young Guy living alone in a enormous house some og the "rent" could be helping/working at the farm, until he gets in to a serious relationship
There's an exchange program called WWOOF where people from all over the world apply to trade farm work for housing in another state/country. Maybe someone from Sulani or Mt Komorebi? Or a bored suburbanite, city slicker, or even an alien from Sixam or Batuu.
It would be so cool to take an episode just to decorate the lot with DEBUG items, terrain paint, and terrain editing. Cause I feel like it would be more realistic to buy like a grubby plot of farmland at first (like maybe with a forest on the back half or something that needs to be developed later). That way, you could "develop" your plot over time as you get more money. It would look better than just having a large green, flat plot. Plus, you're really talented at decorating plots (like how you did it for the dream home decorator lets play!)
I love how the story of Charles the Chicken is basically the cottagecore version of the story of Darth Plagues the Wise. This pack truly ties in well with Batuu.
Ohhhh I didn't realize you could turn off the animal deaths. I've had so many chickens die that Grim decided he was just gonna move in and got stuck on my lot for like a whole week. It was very ominous.
LOL! Your own watermark 😂 I'd persoanlly not mind if it was there or not. To be honest, I got so used to it being on screen that I never even noticed it there 🤣 Kinda like when you are so focused on something that you don't hear any background noise going on around you? It was like that 😄🙌
James, I'm using a woodworking table to make 17 dollar planters in my Cottage Living Rags to Riches. I want a greenhouse with at least 20 of them so it's saving me a lot of money!
The evil chicken's powers sounds like the ones Anakin Skywalker wants - so that might be why it's evil :) Edit: name suggestion - so maybe call the evil hen for Hennakin
The evil chicken notification also referenced Palpatine’s speech from the prequels (Did you ever hear the tragedy of Darth Plagueis The Wise?) so I also agree that something SW/Sith related would fit the evil chicken perfectly!

don't combine the two let's plays yet! It's too early. Instead have a young sim move in as a roommate (add them to household) and pretend they're a 'workawayer'. They get to live there for free in exchange for helping out on the farm.
I grew up on a farm with chickens, and I can tell you that they definitely shouldn’t be able to lay eggs when they’re elderly 😂 but also cows shouldn’t be able to produce milk unless they’re pregnant or recently given birth so I guess they weren’t going for animal realism
@@adriannavanoyen oh yeah I forgot about that 😂 I swear with sheep you can only shear them every couple of months? I’ve never had them before tho so idk 😂
you do have to remember there are only 4 weeks in the year for sims, so time is just a concept. But i understand what you are saying about cows having to be pregnant for the milking, it is a shame we cannot breed our barn animals.
@@chachi411 they couldn’t do realistic cow milking like that in the sims it would be too cruel, because in real life in order to get the milk from a cow you have to take her infant baby away from her the second it’s born so that it doesn’t drink the milk, they both get severely distressed about being separated and the baby usually has to be given synthetic food or in some awful cases the farmer just kills the baby, they could never replicate that in the sims
I think that Chaz should adopt the child you aged up earlier in the let's play. That way you can experience raising a child during Cottage Living, have a single dad storyline and get help on the farm including cooking and canning with kids!
What if you move in Reginald from Relms of Magic Lp? Like grow him/her into a child and move him with Chaz. Yk he has had almost similar brought up like Chaz.
James, you are correct in thinking that confined chickens will eat/scratch up all the grass in their "yard". Most chickens lay really well for about 3 years and then only intermittently for the rest of their life. Around my area, farmers use ATVs to get around their property. As you see, taking care of animals and plants take a lot of work, so they use any way to speed things up. So using the bike is a great idea! Don't forget that you need some milk to cook with! And maybe a few of those veggies :)
Start a relationship with Hazel, invite her over often and she’ll help on the farm but you won’t have her in your household… separate households for separate let’s plays…
Well just like he is about to give the fox Brodie some gifts.. James : "Let me give you something to gift" Panel : Showing Jams as option James : "Why would I give you anything anyway, shoo go away!" 🤣🤣🤣
Chaz and Hazel can have a kid but still live separately and Hazel could send the kid to live on the farm. OR Chaz could use the wishing well to wish for a child, which has the fun possibility of getting an evil child… I’ve never seen anyone use the wishing well before and it’s honestly such a fun object.

I literally died laughing at you putting your name on the screen🤣 10/10 would be happy for you to continue the tradition. The series feels weird without it🤣
I love how James actually reads the comments and keeps them in mind while playing.
The watermark literally made me WAAAAYYY tooo excited 😆 it actually made my day and I miss it 😢
Move his brother trenton in with him, even though he’ll be a kid he could still probably help out with some stuff
21:54 "....he could even stop the ones he cared about from dying," Revenge of the Sith reference lol, Charles the Chicken = Darth Plagueis confirmed!
Was looking to see if anyone else caught that.
So happy somebody else clocked onto the reference!
lol thought i was the only one to get the reference
This reference made me laugh so much 😂
Went into the comments to see if anyone else noticed the reference. 🙌🏼🙌🏼 😆
I love how the story of Charles the Chicken is basically the cottagecore version of the story of Darth Plagues the Wise. This pack truly ties in well with Batuu.
Loved that too 😁
I’ve heard hennibal and Kylo Hen for the evil hen 😂 I take no credit I just want James to see these!
When you get an evil Rooster call it Calcifer because of the fire eyes 🔥
Ohhhh I didn't realize you could turn off the animal deaths. I've had so many chickens die that Grim decided he was just gonna move in and got stuck on my lot for like a whole week. It was very ominous.
I would love for a new HEN to be named "HENNIFER" 😅
I just started singing the song
🌮 🌮🌯 🌯 🌮🌮
Hennifer Chickenston
And it has to be the evil hen
I did that last night 😂
LOL! Your own watermark 😂 I'd persoanlly not mind if it was there or not. To be honest, I got so used to it being on screen that I never even noticed it there 🤣 Kinda like when you are so focused on something that you don't hear any background noise going on around you? It was like that 😄🙌
I felt this!
James, I'm using a woodworking table to make 17 dollar planters in my Cottage Living Rags to Riches. I want a greenhouse with at least 20 of them so it's saving me a lot of money!
The evil chicken's powers sounds like the ones Anakin Skywalker wants - so that might be why it's evil :)
Edit: name suggestion - so maybe call the evil hen for Hennakin
The evil chicken notification also referenced Palpatine’s speech from the prequels (Did you ever hear the tragedy of Darth Plagueis The Wise?) so I also agree that something SW/Sith related would fit the evil chicken perfectly!
@@mezoglea5801 Oh yeah THAT was what I actually was thinking of, must admit I forgot Palpatine's name hehe
you can get a gardener to help and you can also get patchy to help with the garden if you need extra hands. and when hazel moves in her dog can help chase away foxes.
I love the daily uploads. I have a 4 month old baby so it takes me an entire day to watch a 40 minut video. And right when I'm done - BANG! There's another one ❤️😂
Same! I have a 3 month. I’m loving these daily uploads.
Oh man I remember those day! When my now 20 month old was first born the only thing that would calm his colicky self down was James' planet zoo LP and after a 10 car ride last weekend I found it still works to calm him. Lol
Anyone else joining our mom club? 😂
@@zuzannazajac5786 I have an 18 month old that loves watching James with me. In fact I actually found out I was pregnant whilst watching one of James' videos, is that weird? Haha
Yes :) i have 21 monts old girl and this is first LP i am watching since she was born
don't combine the two let's plays yet!
Same with shearing llamas ever day! 😂
I like the interaction Grimm has with the chickens, makes it a little less traumatizing when it's the chicken's time to go
This pack really should come with a bike... kinda messed up that they're only providing one to people who buy early
Do you have discover university?
I think that Chaz should adopt the child you aged up earlier in the let's play. That way you can experience raising a child during Cottage Living, have a single dad storyline and get help on the farm including cooking and canning with kids!
I LOVE this idea! Doesn't even have to necessarily be that kid! Like an Anne of Green Gables situation. lol Adopting a kid to help on the farm!
Or maybe chaz' younger brother
@@nightrayneraven1323 Oh yeah! Trenton can move in!
@@LarrietDarling agreed it can be any kid or even a new child! I think it would be such good gameplay though!!
Wow... This is crazy xdd and I love it
I think every farm needs a dog. Especially to keep the foxes away!
What if you move in Reginald from Relms of Magic Lp? Like grow him/her into a child and move him with Chaz. Yk he has had almost similar brought up like Chaz.
Ooh yes, poor guy got the short end of the stick and I'd love to see him actually get a life!
Age up cousin(?) Reginald and have him come to help out!
I very much want Reginald to move it. Plus it's a link to Hazel since she aged him up.
Grim reaper: **poof**
Chaz: let me go tend my garden lalalalalaaa
Yes!!! When he turned the camera and just kept talking 😅 I was sitting here going “James! James! Grim!!” Then he just leaves the lot 😂
Well just like he is about to give the fox Brodie some gifts..
James : "Let me give you something to gift"
Panel : Showing Jams as option
James : "Why would I give you anything anyway, shoo go away!"
🤣🤣🤣
@@eternalbanana212 ohhhh James 😅😂
The evil chicken could be Hellen. Like a "hen" but it starts with "hell" because they're evil.
Loving the whatermark . Genial joke 🤣🤣🤣 "This video is braught to you by James Turner " 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Please move someone in your old house (maybe even Hazel) and have him visit the lot and swipe the frog because I really miss it
Ball of yarn for every chicken that passes 😢
