    Some people will think your abusing the dog but clearly you’re not as you see gage is wagging his tail the whole time. Love the content can you show us dizzy 👍😂

    Can you please post when you are training and cleaning up "that dirty out". I have the same problem and I feel the leash pop is creating too much conflict. My GSD is fine when I'm training and trading ball for ball or tug for tug, but not always when I just have the one ball tug.

    Would you add a prong to a dog who's never used one, and if so how would you introduce him to one.

    Very nice, how old is Gage?

    So if a dog doesn't bark at the object, it doesn't care about it enough? Fuuuuuu.... Wish I knew that a long time ago...
    My dog only barks when something is close enough to bite, but he waits quietly like a big cat waiting to attack it's prey.
    I think I need to get a dog from you and embrace the sheppard coat I have been trying to avoid.

    It is Springer pinch collar?

    Is there any reading/literature you'd recommend to learn your method of training? I think my dog could use some confidence for some reason? He also never barks. If he wants somethings its always a whine. I have a labrador.

      You're halfway there if hes whining already. Keep training and get him more amped up when he wants something

    My dog Doesnt have a focus or a specific drive. So Not food or play motivated. Naturally im very boring for him and therefore often ignores me. Any helpful tips how i get my dogs attention.

      Praise is also another option of reward, dogs get excited when the mood changes

    Half these leash jerks seem unnecessary even for competitive obedience. he's getting desensitized to that

    • @the_real_amir
      @the_real_amir 3 года назад +1

      the dog might think the leash jerks are part of life if they are applied way too frequently and can start to tolerate it. It's like wearing a pair of very tight ski boots. you put up with the discomfort and pain as long as you enjoy the activity more.

    • @unclenick22
      @unclenick22 3 года назад +1

      @@the_real_amir I’m pretty sure he wants his dog to not only tolerate it but push back and give more. It seems as though he is conditioning pressure to predict reward.

    You have a lot of body ques and leash tension when giving the dog commands. Simple things like you stopping when telling the dog to sit. Leaning down to platz and correcting at same time. You have a lot of issues going on here that will become more apparent when your body ques stop. Id like to see cleaner work and how this dog works without a visible reward constantly. I feel you are tipping the balance way to far in drive. At this age this dog should be clean and not have to be rewarded 100 times in a 15 minute video. Dog is nice and has a lot of drive that you did well building in the past.

      what would you do differently?

    • @GCBR-Dog-Training
      @GCBR-Dog-Training 3 года назад

      I’d start by not answering broad trolling questions directly. I’d then let my comments promote more interest in the inquisitive mind of the questioners by telling said person that age, reaction of the dog, and previous training could not be typed to provide a one size fits all comment.

      @@GCBR-Dog-Training i'm too dumb to understand what you're indirectly saying here. i was wondering what you would do differently if you were working with the dog in the video. if this is too broad a question for you to deem worth answering, that's fine hahah
