I’ve been to Kauai over 30 times. Just returned from my latest tour and it always warms my heart. Kauai is my favorite place on earth. So glad you enjoyed your time. Great video!
Thanks so much! It means so much coming from you, since you've been with us from the absolute beginning! This was our first visit to Kauai, but absolutely certain it won't be the last. 👍 -Howard
You did a fantastic job. You only missed a few things to do. Kauai Adventures has a tubing tour in Hanamaulu. Very cool. They use the old irrigation tunnels through the cane fields. There is horseback riding and ziplining on the north & south shore. Anini beach is the best place to snorkel. Anahola beach is the best beach with very little tourist. I'm glad you enjoyed our island. 🌺🐓
Stacey, thanks so much for all the lovely recommendations from a local! I am sure we'll return again soon, and will be sure to check out some of these places! Hope you'll continue on the journey with us. 👍 -Howard
Just got back this week (our second time in 10 months!). Kauai is amazing!!!! The best island. We did the crazy hike to the beach and falls on 2 cups of coffeee!! SOS stupid and we knew better. If you do the hike, eat up and bring plenty of snacks!
You two!!! I am sitting here drooling, and it’s not from my supper - lentil soup & grilled cheese sandwich lol. Such a breathtakingly beautiful island - that Na Pali coast is mesmerizing! My Niece travels to Hawaii probably every 6-8 weeks or so for work, and travels to all the islands while she’s there. She loves it so, and from watching your videos, now I know why. It’s heaven on earth! Sorry to hear about your tumble Howard, and hope you’re all healed up. Thank goodness it didn’t happen out on the Na Pali trail. Safe travels wherever you are and stay well. Thanks so much for sharing this slice of tropical heaven with all of us.
Thanks, Lis! It took several weeks, but I'm all healed up from the fall. If you get the chance, make a visit to Hawaii and hop a little between islands. There are inexpensive flights between them, and lots of variety in the experiences! Your nieces work sounds pretty OK by us if she gets to travel there so often. 😉👍 -Howard
Everything is so beautiful. The water looks a gem. So gorgeous. Howard you are lucky you didn’t break anything. Food looks amazing! Howard you got your work cut out to beat Kaitlyns surprise for her on her birthday. Thank you for letting us tag along. I am learning so much these videos. Thank you both for sharing! ❤️
Thanks, Susan! Feel very fortunate I didn't break anything in the fall, but the bruise took WEEKS to finally heal. It was like a hard lump in the muscle! -Howard
Frank, what a dream to live on the islands! Kauai was obviously a surprise for me, but a place I can't wait to explore more! Thanks for watching and hope you'll continue on the journey with us. 👍 -Howard
We were in Hawaii 6 months ago, visited the 4 main islands and our favorite excursions were in Kauai, the back country river tubes and the helicopter ride over the Grand Canyon of the Pacific.
Jose, that sounds amazing! What were some of your favorites from the other islands? Thanks for watching and hope you'll continue on the journey with us! 👍 -Howard
@@NewstateNomads in Maui the snorkel at Molokini, the helicopter ride over Haleakala active volcano and the visit to the Red Sand beach; in the Big Island the Sunrise at Mauna Kea (breathtaking drive down), the visit to the Black sand beach; in Oahu the North Shore Shark cage adventure and the full day visit to the Polynesian Cultural Center with a great buffet lunch.
Awesome video! Kauai is the most beautiful island! I can’t wait to go back with my husband! I’ll definitely follow your recommendations! I Hope Howard’s bruises are healed! 🙏❤️❤️
We can't wait to return to the big island! Hopefully next year. Kauai does have a lot of unique aspects to it, too! Thanks for watching and hope you'll continue on the journey with us! 👍 -Howard
Looked so beautiful guys. We love the Gypsy Apps, used the ones for Yellowstone and Teton NP and they were just like having a tour guide. What a great way to celebrate your birthday Howard!
Lori, glad to hear you love the Gypsy guides too! This must be our 6th or 7th time using them, lots of fun and full of great info. If they offered us some guides for free we certainly wouldn't say no! 😂 Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours. ♥️ -Howard
We hiked the kalalau trail about 7 years ago and swam at the water fall. It was a huge feet and it took all day to get there and back but made great memories and got a lot of pictures.
Wow, that sounds incredible! We have friends that did a multi day hike on the trail and tent camped. Love that there are so many ways to experience the same trail! Thanks for watching and hope you'll continue on the journey with us. 👍 - Howard
We're going to Kauai in March so I am loving your insight! But I had to comment on the swinging bridges... I immediately recognized Kootenai Falls Swinging Bridge in Montana because we lived right over the border in Idaho. ❤Can't wait to check out the one in Kauai!!

Love to hear we could share ideas and places even for a repeat visitor to Kauai! What are some of your favorites from the garden island? Thanks for watching. 👍 -Howard
We absolutely loved Hawaii. We ate at the Lava Lava Beach Club on the Big Island and it was fantastic. But the Mai Tais!! 🍹I’ve been searching in vain for anything comparable on the mainland and I haven’t found any as good yet. Howard, hope you feeling better!
Thanks, Shannon and I think you ate at the original location! Katelyn and I have each been to the big island separately but can't wait to explore it together! Happy Thanksgiving to you and the family. ♥️ - Howard
Dana, interesting, was it because of the currents or something else? It looked pretty rough when we were there in September! Hope you enjoyed your trip to Kauai, any particular favorites of your visit? Thanks for watching! 👍 -Howard
A-mazing... last time i was there it was way foggy at Waimea canyon. Did what you did looked at the plaque. Road had many potholes towards the top. Loved it regardless
Juan, we've heard it is VERY common for that area. Hope you were able to enjoy beautiful scenery elsewhere on Kauai during your visits! Any particular favorites from your travels there? 👍 -Howard

@ 1:00 video mark. Where is that ALOHA made wood sign located? We are going to kauai in June this year 2024. We are looking for all or any Aloha signs to take photos with.
Apologies for the delayed reply, mask and gear is provided! We had our own, but they include all of that in the cost of the tour. Let us know how your trip goes and enjoy Kauai! 👍 -Howard
mmm coffee everywhere - that would be difficult as my acid reflux makes it not worth it. What a wonderful experience. Oh ouch so sorry about your legs Howard!
Thanks, my legs are doing MUCH better now, but it took a while! 😂 The coffee is next level in Kauai thanks to the growing and roasting locally. Delicious! 👍 -Howard
Great video!! Love that you mentioned to take your time and slow down. So many visitors arrive and drive like there's no tomorrow. As a Native Hawaiian I thank you for trying your best in pronouncing names of areas and places you've visited. Sadly I am not fluent in my Native language yet strive to pronounce what I know correctly, You folks did great!! Having being born and raised here on Kaua'i and waking up everyday to my island home, listening to the many appreciations of just the islands natural beauty helps to remind me of just how lucky I am to "Live Hawai'i".
Thanks, just seeing your comment! As a Native Hawaiian, it means a lot to hear your perspective on the episode. We do try our best, but know that we will always make mistakes. Appreciate your kindness and your comment! 👍 -Howard
Loved your video and the adventures in Kuai. What sling bag do you have? It looks comfortable. Do you have a video or packing list suggestions? Have a wonderful day and thank you in advance. 😁
Hi Carla! Thank you so much, we had such a great time and it's so beautiful there! Here is a link to our Amazon shop and this page has several items I used on this trip. The sling bag is EXCELLENT, especially for the cost ($25). There are a variety of colors and it fits so much. The packing cubes I bought are on this page too and they've been awesome. Hope that helps! :) amzn.to/3g8pJaO
Glad it was helpful! The link to the boat tour is in the description above, but here's a link as well! Thanks for watching! 👍 -Howard www.napali.com/raft/day/
Is it possible to get around the island witout a rentel car? Im planning a trip to some of the islands and is thinking about going to Kauii to see some of the island by sea and land but witout a rentel car.
It IS possible, but certainly more challenging to reach all the areas you saw in this episode. They do have a decent bus system on the island. I would suggest checking out the public transit schedule: www.kauai.gov/BusSchedules and also the route map: thekauaibus.com/map 👍 -Howard
Sad to hear about the recent weather! All three of those islands have a special place in our hearts (married in Maui, honeymoon there and Molokai). Thinking about the people of the area right now! ♥️♥️
Random question, Kaitlyn what is that sling hiking bag...I love it...the size looks so perfect and holds water. Loved this video...next time in Hawaii going to Kauai. My nephew works for Hawaiian airlines and it might be time to get off Oahu.. Lol Such hard decisions.
Hi Rebecca! The bag is listed in our Amazon shop at the link below. I love it! It fits so much and is a great deal (only $25!). Definitely hope you can visit Kauai soon... it's incredible!! Oahu is wonderful too, just a totally different vibe! Haha amzn.to/3g8pJaO
Bruises!!!😕 Howard so sorry!! Kauai rocks! Bucket list! Check out Steve Barton artwork, it is very beautiful & reflects island life! Packing! Don't come back!🍍🏝🥥☕🐠🐟🐬🐳🌺😎👍
Thanks, Donald, all healed up now! We're big fans of Hawaii, and wouldn't mind an extended trip there. Maybe if we could bring the dogs with us!! 👍 -Howard
Lol, we DID go hiking as you saw elsewhere in the episode and that was WAY more than a bruise. 😂 Still have scars on both my legs from it. Thanks for watching. -Howard
A couple of thoughts, having recently returned: 1. FARMER’S MARKETS - Pre-COVID there was an AMAZING organized network of Farmer’s Markets, which are a godsend if you can prepare & cook your own food where you’re staying! These days, it’s a little more catch-as-catch-can, but there’s at least one consistent market in front of the “Coconut Marketplace” Shopping complex between Kapaa & Wailua. Every Tuesday & Thursday morning, you can buy fresh fruit & veg from local producers! (Also: Don’t overlook the deli in the Coconut Marketplace ABC store for prepared meals, coffee and great breakfast burritos!) 2. WAILUA FALLS: THE DANGER IS REAL! - Obey the signage, stick to the overlook roadway(because it’s essentially at a dead end, parking can be SUPER dicey, even in late October!)? Shortly before we arrived, a young woman from Chile slipped and fell to her death trying to negotiate a path down the gorge. PROFOUNDLY sad….and completely avoidable. 3. KILAUEA LIGHTHOUSE TOUR BY RESERVATION ONLY NOW - The Kilauea lighthouse area is an outstanding overlook and birdwatching area (WATCH WHERE YOU STEP!)! But the compact parking lot can get cozy! To actually get up close to the lighthouse,(Property of the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service) you now need to reserve a time slot in advance. Tours have been temporarily suspended(as of 11/15/22 anyway!) but more info can be obtained by call 877-444-6777. The tour costs $10 per person, with an additional $1 online booking fee. 4. TRAFFIC GETS WORSE EVERY YEAR(especially in and around Kapaa!) REGARDLESS OF SEASON - PACK YOUR PATIENCE!!!!
Mark, lots of great suggestions and advice! Particularly regarding safety, there are several spots (Queens bath and several of the beaches) which people take unnecessary risks. There are so many beautiful and safe spots to get out on the water or to see beautiful waterfalls without all the danger! Thanks for watching! 👍 -Howard
To save some money buy your kauai coffee at the local Safeway and take it home in your luggage, also if you have a Costco membership stop by there to get cheap gas and macadamia nut chocolates cheap to take home in bulk and they make really good poke at a fair price! For inexpensive souvenirs stop by the local Walmart to stock up on! Try the sugar loaf pineapple it's delicious and you can carry on two pineapples on the plane!
FYI....Opaeka'a=Oh-pie-kah-ah...Wailua=Why-loo-ah=Two rivers...Used in opening shot of 1978 TV show "Fanatasy Island"--Deh plane! Deh plane!...Smiles everyone!...Smiles!
Beautiful itinerary! Love all your suggestions : hotel, restaurant and coffeeee. The food looks so delicious. Howard, hope you are doing better. The caves were impressive. We noticed that you use the new camera, you got some beautiful sceneries, with beautiful bokeh. do you like using it? Anne & Eric
Thanks and glad it was helpful! Yes, the new camera is definitely opening opportunities for new unique shots. The bokeh (and the incredible depth of field) is a blessing and a curse, particularly for Vlogging. We ran around doing a test shoot in Denver first to figure out F-Stops that would keep both of us in focus when talking to camera, for example. On the 20mm lens, it's around a 5.6 or 8 before we can hold both of us in focus, but the lens up all the way to 1.8!! Excellent low-light performance, which is a major bonus for us. 👍 -Howard
@@NewstateNomads Oh, it is indeed a challenge! For us, when we vlog together, we try to be on the same focal plane, otherwise one of us will be out of focus. 😅- Anne
Thank you so much for all of the helpful tips. I love your lifestyle. I’d absolutely love to visit this island in Hawaii. What a great birthday surprise for him! Excellent video. 💜🌙
Glad you enjoyed it and found the episode helpful! Hawaii is beautiful and I hope you can can visit it someday to experience it for yourself! Thanks for watching and glad you're on the journey with us. 👍 -Howard
I had a condo there for 15 years I know everything that is on the island. Recently sold the condo as too many tourists so I now live in Alaska the last 5 years This is the best island n saw Elvis on this island in mid 70's
Wow, Susan you somehow moved between two of our favorite places! What part of Alaska? We've completed the drive up twice but still would love to explore the SE of the state. Happy Thanksgiving! -Howard
They are required to have them available, and are required to be worn if you indicate you are not a strong swimmer. After riding onboard for several hours, never felt unsafe or at risk of falling out. The captain is top notch! Thanks for watching. 👍 -Howard
Let me say, I struggle mightily with motion sickness. When the boat is in motion and wind is hitting your face, no problem. Very rarely are you stationary and bobbing in the water on this tour. Can't speak for everyone, but I didn't have any issues. 👍 -Howard
I lived with a family in Wainiha Valley all throughout the 90's, they operated a boat tour company the did whale watching etc on the Napali Coast. Epic days to say the least to enjoy life living and surfing on the north shore there. Smart you guys did an aerial tour, but you missed one of the most iconic dining spots in Kapa'a.....Hamura's, best saimin in the world
@@NewstateNomads We loved so much about Kauai, the Napali Coast, Waimea Canyon, Kauai Coffee still order some from them, we also did a great zip line tour.
Well that is one trip you won't forget anytime soon. That looks like an absolutely painful injury Howard. Nice to see you able to relate it to us with a smile. Amazing views, nice to see all the different foods/drinks and locales.
I stayed at the same hotel but back in 2000.. it was called Kauai Sands at that time.. still green inside i see.. and next time dont wait too long to head up to Kalalau Lookout.. Waimea canyon is usually clear.. but Kalalau Lookout is like in the same ridge line as Mt Waialeale and it gets the downwind trades off of the ridges of Waialeale and it becomes super Foggy closer to NOON.. Next time when your in Lihue, just look towards Mt Waialeale and check how much clouds is hanging on the top.. that would give you a good indication if its going to be Foggy or not.. i usually hit the Farmers Market in Lihue on Sat.. and head up to Kalalau Lookout around 9:30 in the morning.. but it still gets cloudy and you still pray cause that dam trades blow in fast. You guys ate at a few places i want to try out when i go back there in 2023.. Looks like you had the best time.. and last you saw all those DAM Feral Chickens.. they are all over the dam Island.. from the Ocean all the way up to Kalalau lookout.. and dont know if you notice there is alot of CATS too.. When you went hiking.. the foliage and ivy that grows up the trees... reminds me of Jurassic Park... which was filmed mostly in Kauai.. Dammm Im Jelous you were there... im dying to go back there and do what you did too.. im planing to do some Kayaking.. in the Wailua River and eat lots of Kalua pork and Lau Lau's... and the awesome Bento boxes.. damm. getting hungry watching you 2 eating da kine food that looks sooo ONO. Mahalo
Not sure how this ended up in my recommends but it just so happens I’m visiting Kauai in two days for the first time. This vid was super helpful and y’all look like you have such a blast wherever you go. Thankful to the YT gods for bringing me to you. Aloha 🤙🏼
The magic of YT! 😂 Glad to hear our video was helpful and let us know how your trip goes! Thanks for watching and hope you'll continue on the journey with us. 👍 -Howard
Cute video. You visited several of my favorite spots on Kauai. I LOVE Kapaa and Hanalei. I usually stay in Princeville, but my son and I did spend a week in Poipu last visit. We did the doors off helicopter flight which IMO is the only way to see Kauai. I have flown with Wings over Kauai before. They are a great mom and pop's company. It's a shame the lookout was fogged in that day. It is a beautiful view. Its a shame that several places are charging to parking/entrance. So much for progress :). Safe and Enjoyable Travels.
Thanks, Harley! It is a challenge, not just Kauai, to balance the demand with maintaining an enjoyable experience for the visitor. Tickets, timeslots, parking are all things we are willing to work with in order to keep these beautiful places open and preserved for future explorers. 👍 -Howard
Love your videos. Glad Howard injuries healed. Could have been so much worse. We are considering a trip to Kauai Hawaii in December, 2023. Questions: Did you rent a vehicle and do you recommend? What airport did you fly into Kauai Hawaii? Thanks
First, thanks so much and yes my injuries healed (very slowly, particularly the deep bruises). We would definitely rent a car again if you intend to explore many of the places we did. There is public transit, but it can take a long time with stops to reach various parts of the island. Second, we flew into the main airport on the island, Lihue. Yes, you can fly in or out of others between the islands, but most mainland flights only arrive into Lihue. 👍 -Howard
Hey you two! Happy birthday, again, Howard! Kauai is our FAVORITE of the islands! It is stunningly gorgeous, the wettest place on Earth (middle of the island, 360+ inches of rain each year!). We’ve been there twice and can’t wait to return. Thanks so much, as always, for your expert videography, narration, and happy attitude! No one does it better . As always, yours, Virginia
Virginia, thank you so much and glad to hear you've experienced Kauai yourself! It's such an incredible place to explore, right? Like you, can't wait to return. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours! ♥️ -Howard
We'll be visiting Kauai for the first time this February [love getting away from a little bit of Alberta winter] and this vlog is a big help, not just with the particular sights, but the general vibe of the island. Can hardly wait!
David, sounds like a great trip and glad our episode is helping you plan your adventure! We have dear friends in Alberta, what part is home for you? Thanks for watching and hope you'll continue on the journey with us! 👍 -Howard
Glad it was helpful, Christopher! Plenty of time to plan, have you considered which part of the island to stay for your trip? As you saw, we're partial to trying to stay midway in the backwards "C" of the main road to make it easiest to explore all the various areas of Kauai. Thanks for watching, and hope you'll continue on the journey with us! 👍 - Howard
Took note of some of these places and do plan on visiting them when I go to Kauai in late February, I'll actually be staying at the Islander of the Beach location.
Islander is a great location! The surrounding neighborhoods are fun, and you're almost exactly equidistant to everything on the island. Have a great trip and let us know what you find during your time on Kauai! 👍 -Howard
wow found your channel just in time before my trip to Kauai next month. Interested in your take on the airplane tour as the video didn’t go in to much detail.
Great timing indeed! As we mentioned, the airplane tour was about an hour, flew over the Na Pali coast, inland near major waterfalls, over Waimea Canyon and the pilot was very experienced. It's definitely a worthwhile tour and great value particularly compared to helicopter tours! Enjoy your trip to Kauai! 👍 -Howard
Thanks, Wayne! We're so glad you're both along for the journey! The two bags: Katelyn crossbody sling: amzn.to/3Gv1uhJ Howard waterproof camera bag: amzn.to/3UVkPwL
Thanks, Curt! We were there in mid September (for my birthday). It's a great time, a little slower than peak summer, but most summer activities are still running. 👍 -Howard

Thanks, Amelia! Hope you can get back next year, I have a feeling we'll be returning for many years to come. Happy Thanksgiving! -Howard
I read many bad reviews about the na pali inflatable raft tour. People were saying it was very draining to hold on to the ropes for so long.
I can live on 1. Right Slice PIe 2. Holey Grail Donuts 3. Al Pastor Tacos 4. Fresh Bite sandwiches in Hanalei 5. Puka Dogs. Mahalo!
Michael thanks for all the great suggestions! We love when people share their favorites! 👍 -Howard
@ 1:00 video mark. Where is that ALOHA made wood sign located? We are going to kauai in June this year 2024. We are looking for all or any Aloha signs to take photos with.
Great video!
Did you take your own snorkeling mask or was that provided?
Apologies for the delayed reply, mask and gear is provided! We had our own, but they include all of that in the cost of the tour. Let us know how your trip goes and enjoy Kauai! 👍 -Howard
mmm coffee everywhere - that would be difficult as my acid reflux makes it not worth it. What a wonderful experience. Oh ouch so sorry about your legs Howard!
Thanks, my legs are doing MUCH better now, but it took a while! 😂 The coffee is next level in Kauai thanks to the growing and roasting locally. Delicious! 👍 -Howard
@@NewstateNomads Howard, why are you a former coffee drinker?
Should be a beautiful video!
Hi thank you for your video, how much is the tour boat?? Thank you
Glad it was helpful!
P.S. Sea turtle sunning behind the sleeping seal!🐡🤙
Yes! We decided to not point it out, but how awesome that the seal and the turtle were hanging out on the beach together! 👍 -Howard
I love Kauai but check the weather. Kauai is flooding with loads of rain. Maui and Molokai too.
Sad to hear about the recent weather! All three of those islands have a special place in our hearts (married in Maui, honeymoon there and Molokai). Thinking about the people of the area right now! ♥️♥️
2:21 Winter Time ?? does Hawaii have winter ?
Oh yes! Maybe not from the standpoint we think of (cold and snow haha) but their waters become super rough with very big swells during the winter. 😉
Was curious if anyone else noticed the turtle next to the seal?
Shhh, it's kind of a surprise to those who watch closely. Nice job spotting the turtle! 👍 -Howard
You’re lucky the waters were safe enough to go.
So queens bath trail was open?
It was when we were there in September!
I love nuts but my elderly teeth say no, so I have to enjoy them vicariously, like here in your video. Sigh.
👍 -Howard
Steve Barton lives in Maui.🌊
First 😂
With your dedication to this channel, you've earned it! 😂👍 -Howard
If only tourists wouldn’t do videos like this for attention and profit 😢
Too many tourists already
Meh
You go all the way to Kauai to miss out on the best part which is hiking 🥾 just because a little bruise? Common dude suck it up next time
Lol, we DID go hiking as you saw elsewhere in the episode and that was WAY more than a bruise. 😂 Still have scars on both my legs from it. Thanks for watching. -Howard
Most importantly don't forget to go home.
Great way of spreading Aloha, right? Thanks for watching. -Howard
A couple of thoughts, having recently returned:
1. (Also: Don’t overlook the deli in the Coconut Marketplace ABC store for prepared meals, coffee and great breakfast burritos!)
Great advice, and yes we checked out the Costco while there! 👍 -Howard
Looks like there was a sea turtle in the sand right on the other side of the monk seal.
Yes there was!! We thought about putting a little arrow, but decided it was more fun to find the turtle who apparently is BFFs with a monk seal. 😂❤
FYI....Opaeka'a=Oh-pie-kah-ah...Wailua=Why-loo-ah=Two rivers...Used in opening shot of 1978 TV show "Fanatasy Island"--Deh plane! Deh plane!...Smiles everyone!...Smiles!
Was born in Kauai recently left months ago in may 2022 😭 now Vegas.
😅- Anne
Do you get sea sick on this raft?
No, and I can sometimes get ill from big rolling swells. You're either in motion or a protected cove, so no problems for me! 👍 -Howard
I luv the sea Turtles 🐢 💙 😍 and the waterfalls. So beautiful!
Yes, and did you catch the turtle by the seal?! How cool to catch the two of them hanging out! 😯👏
I lived on Kauai and It is definitely the most breathtaking place i have ever been. I miss It everyday!
Do ya miss the traffic? I don't. And the cost of food? I don't. Do ya miss the tourists? I don't.
-Howard
you fell out of bed ? looks like you got in a dirt bike accident
No, I hit the corner of the credenza and fell on the tile floor in the dark! Haha, not my finest moment... 👍 -Howard
Why don't they require life vests on that boat ??!! 🤦♀️😳
They are required to have them available, and are required to be worn if you indicate you are not a strong swimmer. After riding onboard for several hours, never felt unsafe or at risk of falling out. The captain is top notch! Thanks for watching. 👍 -Howard
I’m born and raised on Kauai. Still here with kids and a wife.
What an incredible place to grow up and live! We are honored you watched our episode and hope you'll continue on the journey with us. 👍 -Howard
Kauai was definitely a great place for filming Jurassic Park!
Absolutely, John! The scenery is larger than life on Kauai, and perfect for a dinosaur movie! 👍 -Howard
Wondering if you get motion sickness on that boat?
Let me say, I struggle mightily with motion sickness. When the boat is in motion and wind is hitting your face, no problem. Very rarely are you stationary and bobbing in the water on this tour. Can't speak for everyone, but I didn't have any issues. 👍 -Howard
I lived with a family in Wainiha Valley all throughout the 90's, they operated a boat tour company the did whale watching etc on the Napali Coast. Epic days to say the least to enjoy life living and surfing on the north
shore there. Smart you guys did an aerial tour, but you missed one of the most iconic dining spots in Kapa'a.....Hamura's, best saimin in the world
Really enjoyed your review of Kauai brought back many memories of our trip several years ago.
Thanks, Robert, and glad it brought back memories of your travels! Any particular favorites from your trip? -Howard
@@NewstateNomads We loved so much about Kauai, the Napali Coast, Waimea Canyon, Kauai Coffee still order some from them, we also did a great zip line tour.
Kauai Island is one of the best , I m 35 years old and was living now in Patagonia, but soon, I will return soon
Well that is one trip you won't forget anytime soon. That looks like an absolutely painful injury Howard. Nice to see you able to relate it to us with a smile. Amazing views, nice to see all the different foods/drinks and locales.
Thanks, and I'm all healed up now! Kauai was a fantastic surprise and definitely worth a visit. Food and culture is next level there! 👍 -Howard
Mahalo
Lots of great recommendations for us and others reading, thanks! Hope to return again to Kauai soon. 👍 -Howard
Stabilizing tripod is your friend….you need to slow down when filming.
👍 -Howard
Caitlyn has such a pure soul. She sees the beauty in everything.
👍 -Howard
Stop advertising !!!!!!!! Wasting our time omg
He's quite sexy while the clips narration are a bit anxious
👍 -Howard
Glad this video popped up to watch. Planning stages of Kauai in 2025. Definitely saved this vid. It was great and informative.
👍 -Howard
Happy birthday day gentleman and good to see you lovely lady. We missed your lovely content for a minute. Lost of love from your global family.
Thank you do much! 👍 -Howard
My wife found your channel recently and now we love it. What type of backpacks are you guys using?
Thanks, Wayne! We're so glad you're both along for the journey! The two bags:
Katelyn crossbody sling: amzn.to/3Gv1uhJ
Howard waterproof camera bag: amzn.to/3UVkPwL
Pono Kai is a great place on the coconut coast
Great video on Kauai!! Can you tell me when you were there, or when would be the best time to go?
Thanks, Curt! We were there in mid September (for my birthday). It's a great time, a little slower than peak summer, but most summer activities are still running. 👍 -Howard
