I remember growing up, on Sundays my dad would turn the volume down on the TV and turn on the radio . Id asked why he does that . He said cause nobody calls a game like Jim Donovan. And those Sundays are the days I'll never forget with my dad. Thanks Jim. Cleveland loves you. Your a true legend !
God bless you Jim Donovan 🙏 and thank you to your wife and daughter for sharing you with us for 39 years , looking forward to hearing your voice on Cleveland Browns broadcasts, and indeed we hope that it's your voice we hear when our beloved BROWNS win the Super Bowl 👍
First Dorothy, then Willma & Robin, Dick Goddard, Gib Shanley, Ted Henry, Leon Bibb, Don Webster and last week Andre Berniere, and now Jimmy too? Congratulations Mr. Donovan. 🍾
RIP Jimmy. Condolences to your family. You will be missed. My heart aches right now. I always looked forward to your voice and made a point of listening to your calls on the radio and turning the volume down on the TV.
He was a part of MANY of our childhood memories, a permanently-eched voice in our life journey of memories. Prayers and blessings to his family and friends. My memory is his voice on Sundays as we listened to the game at my grandmother's house in the 80's /90's .
I would be lying if I said that a part of this town’s heart and soul also didn’t die with Jimmy’s passing! He brought an immensely positive and energetic style to his work! He will be sorely, sorely missed! RIP Jimmy! Go rest high on that mountain!
RIP to a Cleveland LEGEND! Honored to have you as the voice of my Cleveland Browns football team for the entirety of my fandom. Wish you would’ve got to call a Browns Super Bowl victory
Jimmy, take it from the segment of Steelers Country that has cross-pollinated Cleveland, we're going to miss you. You made the Browns worth the curiosities that each down year brought. We loved you too, JD. Say hi to Tunch for us.
Through good seasons and bad, Jimmy was our voice for the CLE Browns on the radio and TV. It seems almost like this season wasn't meant to be for the Browns with Jimmy passing. His absence is surely felt by his beloved family and those of us who enjoyed him from the public side. RIP! ❤
