- A lot of the people who worked at the Tesla factory in Fremont were commuting to work from Sacramento, Stockton, and Lathrop. One of those employees was Nico Murillo.
Thank you for featuring me on here! I appreciate it! The red Tesla is my little brothers and the white one is mine...
It was a tough decision to sell the house, but it's for a purpose! I want to retire early, and by doing this it's going to speed up the process!
Special shout out to Esteban for driving all the way to my house to get this interview done! He was a great reporter on this
Tell Elon sharesholders will vote for his $55B pay package while you Fanboyz suffer
You have a great youtube channel, I've subscribed! Thanks for the great message and attitude, and sorry for how Tesla dropped you from the company... they lost a great manager/employee in you, and so many others
Sorry to hear about your situation man. Everyone is getting laid off 😢
Layoffs are common with car companies. I live beside a dude that works at Nissan and it’s pretty common to be laid off even once a year, but he plans for it and he doesn’t whine about it.
Keep your head up buddy better days will come 🙏🙏
You know how hard I try to find employees with this guy’s attitude?
They are out there willing to work and still put on a smile.
I haven't hired my first employee yet but I have a wonderful reputation for putting people over money. Because of that I have at least five like this guy waiting for me to scale. Last, they know that I've always lived below my means. I'd give myself a pay cut and live in my car before I'd fire them.
Emplpoyees don't care about you. They don't owe you nothing. Only thing you gotta do is give them the money they worked for.
I was thinking the same thing, he plugged his new job on a news clip and told people to come in. That's some loyalty right there. This guy is going to be fine.
I've seen a lot of Tesla employees praising the company in LinkedIn
It is great that he has a positive attitude despite the negative event! Very admirable.
lol 😂 he’s crying himself to sleep! What r u talking about?
@@Buckshott_54you sound foolish af for this comment. You don’t know that man is going through. While he may not be happy he lost his job, I highly doubt he’s crying. The fact that he was working and literally sleeping on the premises for his job, and driving 1.5 hours back and forth for 5 years, this is probably the best thing for his health and well-being. He will bounce back from this.
Clout chaser, just dropped a RUclips channel
He just lost his house. How is he ok? It’s not ok. He’s just maybe showing a positive but I know deep down he’s not ok.
Yes “positive attitude” despite being financially devastated. We need to stop with the delusions and call this events what they are. 🤡
He still wearing his gear
😂😂
Trade it in bro lol. And get rid of the Tesla gear. I ain't reppin' a company that laid me off.
That’s a messed up way to find out you was laid off. I worked at Nissan in Canton, MS years ago they had a big layoff and did the same thing. A co worker of mine I met as I was heading in she stopped me and said her badge didn’t work. She asked me to check and see if mine worked and it did. Someone told her if she didn’t get the phone call about being retained then you were laid off. She broke down crying I felt terrible for her. After that I had no loyalty to any company. Miss work when I need to and attend all my childrens event when needed. These companies do not care what u have going on and what you could end up losing
This guy’s situation sucks right now. But what a fantastic attitude, sounds like ultimately he’s going to be a winner.
Wish more people could be like him. He understands that the company doesn't owe him anything and thus he bears no ill will toward it. He will be successful in life with an attitude like that.
Are you kidding? He didn't know he was fired till he tried to enter building for his workday. That is a bunch of bs. And an embarrassment for a supposed successful company. Companies lie, cheat and steal from it's employees. You sound like a bootlicker.
He will be compensated by the company nonetheless 👍🏽.
The guy has commitment and a good attitude. He will be fine.
Great attitude he will do great
gm & FORD , should HIRE this guy right away, they will Benefit.
He has a great attitude. He also plugged his new job on a news and told people to come in. Didn't say anything negative and promoted his new employer. That's some loyalty right there. This guy is going to be fine.
Probably spent way over his salary.
He was only making like $84k a year though. Give the guy a break.
@@damnjustassignmeoneHe was actually making over $100k after his promotion according to his RUclips channel. So yeah he over spent and over paying on the mortgage especially buying it 2 years ago.

Owns 2 Teslas? Imagine if he actually saved his money…
He did saved his money for all of that years of work.
It's actually his brother's car
@@LeonardLuzon is that why he has to sell the house?
He get his house for 1.13M, 2 Teslas, diamond earrings, most likely yezzey on his feet. Now he has opportunity to start his career at GNC! Wow!
@waterproof864 Well, that's his choice, and he has means after saving the money. The median home price in lathrop is 739K, so the cost of living is cheaper than the Bay Area. I think it's the prudent decision to sell the house. He can do a mortgage forbearance but still has to fulfill those backpay. Why not just sell it out, save for more in the future, and enjoy the fruits of labor later?
God will provide. Be encouraged young man your story isn’t over. Can’t wait for the YT channel!

So he plans to sell his home and be a RUclipsr/influencer living the ‘van life’. Once he has enough followers, he can quit his job at the mall & do it full time. This was a free commercial for his channel. 😂
Yeah. For most Tesla employees, they will scorn on the brand. 5 years is not a long time to be let go.

@@IfOnlyItWasThatEasyit is the norm. Been happening forever . But since it’s Tesla you haters gotta cry and whine immediately.
Some people are smart enough to understand that layoffs are not only common with this economy, but they’re particularly common with car companies. Stop your hating and get real.
People forget that companies and your employer have NO loyalty to you whatsoever but at the same time expect 100% loyalty from you! This man did not get a 2 week notice so why should any employee give their employer a 2 week notice. I won't be.

‘Living in his car’, for some reason, those words and the words ‘Tesla employee’…don’t go together for me. Something’s wrong here…very wrong.
there are MULTIPLE Tesla workers that Live in Tesla / and or RV .
they park @ Tesla.
This is common practice for many who work in the Bay Area that don't have remote option. They live in the area where he lives where housing is cheaper--actually not even cheaper. His house new was already near a million 2 years ago and he is selling it for 1.1mil now. Its that many get wooed by nice new homes and neighborhoods. $1million house close to his work and in the bay area is living in a shack or run down house with high crime area. So many make the sacrafice to buy brand new 1.5 to 2 hours away WITHOUT traffic. With traffic, its an easy 2.5 to 3 hours one way. Thats why he sleeps in the car along with many.

@@markplott4820 This is VERY frightening, if what you’re saying is considered ‘common’, it’s just bizarre. I can’t ever imagine being in this situation and being okay with it.
@@moialder252 This is scary, to have to live like that in order to remain employed…and at ‘Tesla’, for a miserable $120,000+ a year job when the area you live in only has $1.5 or $2 million dollar homes, this is so awful!
Let me get this straight, you were fired only a few weeks ago and you have to sell your house? There's no possibility of maybe renting the rooms out to make extra money to pay for the mortgage so you don't have to do that? That would be perseverance. And to be honest, a person who needs to sell their house on their few weeks after being fired shows that the person who bought the house was extremely irresponsible. If you had to do this you were living well beyond your means to begin with and that is not Tesla's fault
I agree. But you never know what's going on personally. I had a friend in his situation and found out he was paying for his best friends moms hospital care.
@@GRehillMusic that seems like something that should have been mentioned if that were true. according to the comments here this guy has a RUclips channel that talks about trying to live a certain way. I just don't like the way it was framed as if, oh poor me I lost my job and now I have to sell my house, thanks tesla! Even though he mentioned no ill-will towards Tesla. And that he enjoyed working there.
@claytonjames4779 Don't be so quick to judge. Folks bought houses during Covid at which time, home values doubled in CA. May very well have been strategic investment, where he will net $300K from the sale, not counting his severance pkg from Tesla. Nico is crying all right, all the way to the bank.
And while he may be living out of his Tesla now, at least he'll pocket a nice chunk of change on the sale of his house, plus his severance, plus his Tesla stock options that have gone 6x since Covid. He's better off financially than a lot of ppl who do have a roof over their head. I'll have to go check out his channel.
One thing he won't be able to sell is the Tesla. The house in California probably appreciated by 50% over the last two years so that will give him some equity.

No because then they'll slack off that whole week. Should know that. Folks know they're going to be out of a job in a week are not going to have their mind on the job. It happens everywhere every time.

1. He’s a production supervisor making $100k/yr
2. In 2019, the stock cost $30. It’s now trading 6x higher and is still half its all time high. He most likely had stock options, which vest after 4yrs. That equates to a ton of money.
