My wife and I prepared this Prime Rib for our family Christmas Dinner. Delicious!!! This will be the only recipe we will use from now on. Thank you for posting!!!
Tried this a few weeks ago. UNBELIEVABLE!!!! It was so good that now instead of a ham tomorrow for Easter, my family wants your prime rib. Thanks for sharing this wonderful recipe!
You are very welcome. I'm so glad you and your family enjoy this recipe

Claudia I prepared this for Christmas Eve, and I must say, it was delicious. Thank you for bringing joy to our table!
It looks sooo delicious. A must try. Thank you
I love so much your meat recipes dear Claudia, that rib looks so juicy and tender! Merry Christmas to you and your family
Thanks a lot dear!! Merry Christmas to you as well
I just made this for our Christmas dinner and it was PERFECT! Everyone loved it. I don't care too much for pepper and the veggies in the bottom of the roaster were too spicy for me to eat. Next time I will only use 1 tbsp. of pepper. Also my family loves med rare meat. I took it out of the oven at 110 degrees and it cooked another 10 degrees while it cooled and came out perfect. Enjoy!
As much as I adore cooking, I have never made a prime rib. LOVED your recipe! My mouth is actually watering!!!! Think I will try this tomorrow! Thanks for sharing!!!
Thanks a lot you are going to love it. Do let me know how it comes out

Claudia, I found your recipe video by accident when looking for a good prime rib recipe.. All I can say is, thank God I did!! I made this last night, for New Year's Eve, and it was absolutely the best prime rib I have ever put in my mouth! My whole family went crazy over it, as well as our friends! The flavor from the herbs was perfect and the wine added the perfect touch to the au jus! I will never make prime rib any other way than like this. Thank you so much for sharing this extremely delicious recipe! Happy New Year!!
Aww soo glad you and everyone enjoyed the recipe. Happy new year Holly 😊🤗
Cooking With Claudia ~ We own a cattle ranch in Montana and I have cooked prime rib for Christmas for as long as I remember. Every year I try to improve and perfect my technique by getting more ideas and after watching your video it reminded me of the way my Grandmother made it in so many steak houses in Montana, she was famous for it! She always said the trick was in the veggies but she has been gone a long time and I forgot about that until I watched your video so I will add that twist today when making a 20lb BETTER than PRIME rib roast! I will let you know how it goes....
Happy holiday Claudia!!! Because of you, I am now the Prime Rib Queen. Still loving this recipe. Absolute best!!!

Cooking With Claudia welkm mamii 😊
I'm gonna make this next weekend
You will love it!
Should sit out more like 6 hours....
I edit this because that sounded very critical... I use the X method
500 degree with 5 minutes per pound than turn off the oven and let it sit in oven unchecked for 2 hours........if you are a medium type it's 7 minutes per pound
Helpful comment - thank you for posting.
I tried that method. A good majority of the meat was still raw.
Did this tonight, incredible
Same
I seared mine on grill first salt pepper garlic rosemary thyme and pesto rub
Thank you Claudia! Out of curiosity, what is your accent? I find your voice & the way you speak to be so soothing!
Thanks so much for the compliment.. I grew up in Ghana, hence the accent
Such a Sweet chef. Claudia. Thank you 🍽🐃🍷🍷😎☝️❤
How did you blend your garlic paste?
You are Blessed
❤
Yassss❤❤❤
😄😄👍
beautiful, nice videography, n food
Thanks a lot
and how long does it take to make hair, looks quite a job
Great video! Might I suggest one thing for you and your viewers. Remove your butcher’s twine as soon as you take it out of the oven. Removing it while the roast is piping hot will minimize the sticking. Trust me on this.
Thanks a lot for the suggestion, it makes a lot of sense
Hi you are a beautiful chef! Merry Christmas to you ! i am going to make this fabulous recipe tomorrow. If you can please tell me do we foil the prime rib while it’s cooking at any point? And also My family likes well done roast. In have a 10 lbs prime rib. How long should I cook this for. Please help! It’s my first time cooking this. Thank you
Hello Judith, thanks a lot! you don't need foil for the prime rib.. bake it 15 minutes per pound. (so 150 minutes for 10 lbs) . For well done, bake it 10 extra minutes and check the temperature for 140F, then take the meat out.. Make sure you dont overcook it otherwise it will not be tender
Thank you ! It was delicious and everyone loved it
Im glad you all enjoyed the recipe
👍
This video came to me in the nick of time. I tell you how my 4 bone 9 pound rib roast turns out. Thanks
you are welcome! I hope you enjoyed the recipe
Claudia, The roast turned out beautiful. Perfect medium rare, juicy, and tender. Restaurant quality for sure. Thank you again.
Butch Good I’m so happy you and you family loved it.. you are welcome!!
can you serve day after?
How long would the cooking time he for medium no blood??
For the sauce can you use almond flour?
I’d like to reserve a table at your place please.Mmmm Mmmm Mmmm
I love your hair it is absolutely beautiful.
OH MY !! LOOKS SO DELICIOUS!! AND THE PRIME RIB LOOKS GOOD TOO...LOL.
New subbie here!
Thanks Lisa, im glad to have you here
+Cooking With Claudia you're welcome doll😀
BRAVO !!! Thank you so much for not smothering BUTTER, with MUSTARD, and ANCHOVI PASTE, on that beautiful meat. God Bless you, young girl. Thank You !! Excellent job!
You right on time Claudia! We’re having family over for prime rib... what temp should it be for medium doneness..?? Like at what temp should I take it out the oven..??
you will love this recipe India .. for medium take it out of the oven at 130F, let it sit and serve it when the temperature rises to 140F
Cooking With Claudia you’re awesome!!!! Thank you!!!!! 😘
you are welcome dear
OMG!
Hi what if my roast is 20.17 lbs could you help me with cooking time please ? Thank you ..
Nothing more welcome than a woman whom loves to cook
🙂😊 Thanks!
Is 3tbpsn of salt to much?
The best prime ribs recipe 🙏🥰
Not even average. It just wasted an expensive piece of meat.
I prefer my Steak to be Well done no blood at all... but the Meats crust looked delicious.
Thank you!
We replayed several times to get the temperature for the first 20 minutes, we all heard that 43F. Please tell us the ??? F degree for the first 20 minutes. Thanks
450 degrees
I like mine a little more cooked but Looked delish
Are you kidding? That is medium well . Prime rib I
prefer medium rare.
Can u eat the vegetables? Or do you discard?
yes of course u can eat the veggies
Cross my fingers for tomorrow thanks 🙏
Ohhhh personally I don't like to see any blood on my cooked meat but it looked nice uncut Claudia 🤣
Thanks Melissa! I totally get how you feel, i used to feel the same way. but that red juice isn't blood at all, its called myoglobin, its a protein that is found in the muscle tissue.
Your voice wasn't clear...was it 450 or 550? I put mine in at 500 degrees, by the pound, it added to 16 minutes, yet 2 hours later after 500 degrees for 16 minutes, it was 120 degrees and the meat cold. Had to heat it up 20 more minutes.
A little tip for ya sweetie.. When you cook it at 180 or so till your internal temp is 115 and u take it out to rest while heating your oven to 500 plus.. Gives u plenty of time to finish your aw jue and get everything else on the table. Then blast ur roast with 500 degrees for 10 plus minutes and 1..ur roast hits the table hotter.. 2. its much more edge to edge prime temp 3. Its stress free. 4. Cuz Ive done em both ways and this is the best..!! Comes to your plate piping hot and that's the shiz nit when serving.
WILL YOU MARRY ME?!
I am also confused about the cooking time. 20 min at 450 then 15 min per pound, your roast was 10 lbs. So 15X10 is 150 min so shouldn't the total time be 170 min?
hello, 15 minutes per pound in total, it includes the first 20 minutes. so intotal my 10lb meat cooked for 150 mins.
I swear I detect an accent but I can't pinpoint it! Where are you from? 😄
yes you are right .. i grew up in Ghana
Cooking With Claudia nice!!
I initially thought Hawaii. You sound like a Hawaiian girl who is also a chef and has a reality show that we watch in Italy.
The greatest porn ive ever watched
she ruined it with the oregano but before that it looked soooooo good
Have fun at THE MALL, Claudia.....
Be very careful on the rest. For me, 30 minute rest added 19.5 degrees, too much for my liking. That being said it was a tasty roast.
thats medium rare to medium
If I eat that I may as well run onto a field and take a bite out of a grazing cow.
That looks really good 👍👍
So is your math off? It is not 15m/lb at 325. It is 15/lb but always a 20min at 450? If I have a 5 lb roast (5x15=75 Min), minus 20=55mins at 325?
No it isn't, its very accurate. do the math again
Cooking With Claudia too confusing. Thanks though
We made this and it was to salty and had too much pepper. Had to scrape the outside to save the meat. 👎
What's with all that Brown Meat? Should be Pink all the way through...
Severely overcooked! Not to mention that Prime Rib really demands the reverse searing method so you don't have all that well done meat.
meaux gendron Looks Just right to me.
@Jose Caballero Yeah, I made that mistake ONCE...
@@phoenixflier25 If you like 'Well Done'... To each his own I guess...
