Garth is one hell-of-a-guy! He's got his feet on the ground all of the time. My respect for him and what he stands for.
My daughter who is 3 years old was for the last year and something in her she battled cancer for over a year and she had chemo for a whole year because she had a tumor in her brain...she was diagnosed shortly after 2 and beat it a little after 3 yrs old...she's my strength whenever I feel bad.. she had an 8 hour craniotomy to find out why she had diabetes insipidus then they found her tumor...shows that no matter whats going on...it will get better and more ppl will keep up the fight....I love Garth....been a fan of him since I can remember...touching video

As a Cancer Survivor I can tell you that fighting this monster and going through, surgeries, Blood Transfusions, Bone Marrow Transplants, Chemo & Radiation is the toughest job one can ever go through. Thank You Garth Brook being the class act and a wonderful human being. My prayers go out to Teresa. Hang in there and know that people love and care about you. As Garth said. You go out and KICK CANCER'S ASS!!!!

The thumbs down people probably never had cancer. I’m a stage four survivor and my wife just finished up stage three treatment for breast cancer.
Every little thing like this is what helps people continue the fight when you want to give up. Fighting cancer isn’t easy. It takes time and it’s painful.
Mine was in the lymph nodes in my neck. Chemo made me sick sure but could deal with that. Radiation was a different story. Lost most of my skin on my neck lower face and shoulders. Raw and painful. But still had to wear a shirt to go to the treatment center. Had to find a way to sleep. Nothing there to help you feel better.
What he did for that woman makes him a hero in my eyes.

Im a stage 4 survivor...was diagnosed when I was 17 . Was told i would never have kids...Im now 51 and have 2 great grown kids and grandkids..but you always wonder when it will come back ..

I’m hoping you don’t have to go through that again. It’s been six years now for me. I do have the same worries. Both my parents had cancer twice.
I spent two tours in Vietnam. My strategy is it don’t get worse than that. I can face anything after that.
My father is a cancer survivor now but it wasn't to long ago he did his last check and it came back that he was cancer free. It was hard on him but he never complained about it. And it stops a family cold in their tracks when a loved one gets that diagnoses cause you just do not know if your loved one will survive this and it's a damn scary situation to say the least. It's awesome that you are a survivor as well. God bless you and yours.

They have made great strides in cancer treatments. None are ever easy but the outcome is better.
When I was a kid, being told you have cancer was a death sentence and I grew up with that in the back of my mind.
But I rescue cats and someone needs to stick around to care for them. I had the attitude nothing could be worse than when I was in Vietnam. This sure came close.
I wish him the best and to your family too. May he continue to be cancer free.
And the thumbs down people have no concept of how right you are about "every little thing" helping. And even if it doesn't extend the time we have left, it makes the time we have left better.
I have watched several moments like this from Garth Brooks. This man has earned my highest degree of respect. It is comforting that he is not just a huge mega star but a genuine human being that cares for people! God bless you Garth.
I lost my sister to cancer this pass Thanksgiving day , brought back memories, it is to my amaze how someone with cancer makes you smile when they are fighting this illness, thank God Im continuing the duties of raising her two grandchildren, 10&11, yr girls, a truly blessing. At first I thought they need me , but know I see clearly, I need them. I love you sis , love you Nana.

You can be the best person but only one way to heaven and that's through Jesus Christ our Savior . Jesus says no one go to the Father except through Me. I'm the way to Heaven there is no other way. Believe on His name and In Him. Faith is what it takes to go to heaven . Have to Believe God's Bible His words and you have to Believe all of it. The King James Version Authorized is the best Bible we have in America all others or want to be God's Words they take out words, verses, chapters, they say they make it easier to read and understand but what is really happening it's taken away from God's Words and added to them. If you read Rev. 22: 18- 21 you will see what happens to anyone that adds or takes away from God's Words. I sure don't want to be in their shoes. That's what the devil has been trying to do since Adam and Eve is change God's Words around to make it look the same but mean different. One word can change the whole meaning of the statement. Their is no ticket to heaven unless Jesus gives it to you. You can't buy your way to heaven. You can be the riches person on earth and still go to hell. Beware of false preacher in long robes
@@blancobasnett I know I wouldn't want that; and neither would God for that matter. That poor girl went through so much already, and STILL she believed people were basically good - a lesson for us all! But God did give Jesus His Son to be the way of salvation, and many Jews have been duped into not believing that. That said, God does have a special place in His heart for the Jews, so who knows? I'm only going by what I've read in the Word.

I'm from Iowa also and while I've been your fan for as far back as your first song, this event with this incredible lady made me cry more than I ever had while listening to The Dance. You're a class act Garth and this was so wonderful. Teresa, I'm farther south, probably right in the center of the state and I am praying for you that you do kick cancer's ass. That had to be such a tender moment.

I believe in God and his plan.
I'm on my third chance at life by the grace of the almighty. 12 years ago, given three months to live. Mayo clinic, bone marrow transplant. 3 yrs ago, it returned, total kidney failure, bone marrow transplant again after almost dying in ICU. This is God's plan.
In know way through will I turn down the support of family, friends and strangers. I fight for life and thank God for every day. God also gave the will to live.
Your statement about not fighting and deal with it is the most unchristian statement I have heard. God tests us every day. He wants us to pass those tests at all costs to make our faith stronger.

God gave us life, and with it the will to live, and fight for it.
Now, as for turning to man being blasphemy, you are going to your priest for spiritual advice, and probably rid your self of some doubts and troubles, thus being healed. Now, why is that not just as blasphemous as going to a physician? The advice from your priest is the word of 1=one man as HE interpret God's words.

That was tight, and I almost cried when Garth Brooks said. "You have all my strength, you have everybody's strength in here, and you go kick cancers ass huh!" Good stuff.
I'm not an emotional guy. I've been through a lot, and I do mean a lot. This made me cry. And as it turns out, I'm one of the one's that kicked cancer's ass.
I wonder how that woman is today.

@@Tim.1113 And I can imagine she was prepared for that. It's something most of us come to terms with. Don't say "sadly" because before it was over she had a pretty sweet experience and a fantastic momento of her fight against cancer. I doubt she was sad at the end. Scared, maybe. Sad.....we learn to not let this make us sad, the time may be too short to waste on such an emotion. And plenty of others will do that for us, be sad.

Because he has been personally touched by cancer and is a class act and a good human being. Another reason to like garth brooks.
There are a few out there who are stars and still are genuine real people. Garth, Toby Keith, Jimmy Buffett are ones that come to mind. They never forget their roots and genuinely love and respect their fans. Some of the other ones who feel "too aloof to mingle" will fade away but these guys and those like them will endure.

garth is a true humanatarian. i have been thru chemo & now goin thru radiation. my cancer was uterine. i know lots of women go thru breast cancer but u dont hear about the ones that endure uterine cancer.i have been 2 hell & back. luckily 4 me i had a good cancer team & i am getting stronger.i luv garths music & glad he thinks about other people. im a country girl at heart. luv u garth.
Debbie Weaver Bless you, by pure luck both good and bad they caught mine in the very early stages. I didn't have to go through chemo which would of been an even higher risk to me so we took the chances with just the surgery and thankfully I'm fine now.

This made me cry too.
Two of my brothers-in-law developed lung cancer from years of smoking. They were both diagnosed within a month or two of each other. One succumbed about a year ago and the other, though he's still doing treatments, his Doctors keeps coming back with great news for my sister and brother-in-law. No new growth, seems to have stabilized in fact.

I hope this Iowan woman learns to play the guitar. I also have two family members who died of cancer. Survivors may have a little understanding of some of the ineffective treatments (radiation & chemotherapy) that don't cure, but only prolong life.
