    Gotta get ya an air compressor and air gun for blowing things clean as you work. No need to expose yourself to chemicals unnecessarily.

    FYI, there’s absolutely no need for gasket maker on the carb gasket. That’s a great way to plug the impulse line, rendering your carb unable to pump fuel, and the saw will not run.

    • @Mclean_mcnamara
      @Mclean_mcnamara  Год назад +1

      I saw mixed opinions online and didn’t have a new gasket so figured I’d try it out 🤷‍♂️ guess we will find out with time. And if it does clog the carb at least it’s easy to clean

    • @aoxomoxoa186
      @aoxomoxoa186 Год назад +1

      As long as the gasket was not torn or falling apart, it was still useable as it was, without additional gasket material. All it needs to do is seal the air gap between the carburetor and the intake.
      The impulse line is the tiny hole in the gasket which mates up with the tiny hole on the intake. If that hole blocks up with dirt, or in this case, form a gasket, the back and forth pressure and vacuum created in the crankcase and cylinder which drives the diaphragm in the carb (which pumps the fuel) will not happen, thus the saw will not run. Your saw ran afterwards, so evidently it isn’t blocked. The more you work on these things the more you will learn. Get a carb kit, learn how to tune a carb with the high & low screws, and that saw will sing!

    You cut down that whole damn tree with the brake on it looks like 😂 but hey you can’t beat a $50 saw of that brand. I found three for 100 online that I’m interested in buying to make run again

      To me it sounded like a dry chain, either he forgot to put bar oil in or the pump wasn't working.

    That brake getting seized is this shittiest thing of all husqvarna chainsaws. Had a brand new husqvarna chainsaw and the brake seized just like this, and I could NOT snap it open. Returned it and got an echo cs-590 and no issues.

    Good job on the saw but you really, and hopefully have, need to study tree felling and how to “safely” get trees down in all the possible problem situations. Wear some safety attire, at least a helmet. The pro arborist reports say the injury most reported starts with, “struck by…..”. It’s really an engineering task to understand what’s going to happen and not what just happened. Also, good job on the video.
