- A birds-eye view of PS Waverley, happily celebrating her 75th anniversary this year.
@davetheraverovingtherock The last sea-going paddle steamer in the whole World.
This afternoon she visited Brodick on the Isle of Arran for the last time of the summer season, here seen departing at 17:00
If you were either disembarking or boarding at Brodick, then you'll see yourself in this video. I made sure I filmed every single person :-) There were a lot of locals that I recognised!
There is an announcement before she departs and the horn sounds loudly several times, and several more when turning at the end.
The ferry was very busy with a long queue the full length of the berth and it was good weather for a cruise round the North End of Arran, up to Lochranza and back.
She's got a great turn of speed when she gets going too.

What a wonderful video of the Paddle steamer Waverley as it came into the peir & the crowds that came on to her just shows how great she is, so thanks to everyone who made this great video, (may she continue for many years to come).
Just saw the wife and I getting off there 🤣. Sorry not to see you and Sally on our weeks holiday walking past Kingscross
