Yeah you just send a fast traveling piston without a warhead towards the explosive one and make it have a 3x3 front wall of ancient debris for maximum blast resistance
That, is what is known as a magazine detonation, so much force from the explosion the ship is ripped in two and few survive, most famous example is HMS Hood
I remember when industrialcraft nukes were a real thing. The radius of damage that thing would do was insane something like 100 blocks in each direction. It would’ve completely whipped that boat from existence as well as a huge chunk of that ocean lol
Question: just out of curiosity, I know it won’t look like a missile then but is it possible to have 3 slots of tnt mine carts? @@KevLKev I tried the blast resistant approach in MC Java, it didn't change the outcome very much, but it launched me horizontally THOUSANDS of blocks. I didn't try the "missile", the bomb I made was just an obsidian ceiling and stone floor, no walls, no pistons, and inside I put hundreds of TNT Minecarts. I doubt using a missile would make it more efficient at destroying more blocks. Your other approach might be a better option
@@Rudxain ok, interesting results. you can only place the 3 minecarts side by side without them exploding if they’re placing along the Z axis, placing them on the X axis causes the minecarts to constantly push each other around and will instantly detonate on the fourth minecart. the explosion shape also seems to produce a + shaped explosion i have not yet figured out a way to transport all 3 minecarts yet due to push limits but i’ll be sure to solve that and publish a video next afternoon
@@KevLKev I forgot MC little quirks with Z and X axis asymmetry. I think you should test both alternatives, my "bomb experiment" was incomplete. You may be the 1st person to make the most efficient Vanilla MC nuke! I'm sure you'll get many views if you manage to do so. I approve your experiments lol
To those who may not understand why a actual nuke wasn't used. There's a nuke mod were when it explodes, it'll crashed your game and when you return to the world. Everything is destroyed. But considering this ISN'T a mod, it may be safer but again, it'll take ages to place. One of the nukes dropped in Japan weighed 2400 pounds of TNT. But I think a better testing site would of been a building than a ship

Using something like ancient debris would probably keep the tnt minecarts in place, although I feel like that would just decrease vertical damage
Ancient debri is good it had blass ressistance like obsidian but it can push by pistons
