I'm returning to this video because I still have so much to learn about composition and framing! Thank you so much for sharing videos like these, they are incredibly helpful
So form of action is a combination of composition and leading lines, using the form of the content to dictate emphasis/lead the eye? And just like with line of action, you can go over your image with a simplified breakdown to make sure it's following your intention, except you're outlining the shapes and wireframing forms to see how they flow, rather than showing force and weight through limbs in a character. Interesting way of thinking about it, pretty helpful to combine all those things into one term to think about
Amazing tutorial! Thank you. I like how you treat your landscape drawing like figure drawing, it's a helpful comparison.
This is the video I've been looking for. It's clear simple and easy to understand!
Thank you Tyler
Hi Tyler! Awesome content! When I saw my assignment, I was shocked (with happiness!). Lol, too funny. Thanks for more insights!
Thank you, Tyler. This is a video I will watch over and over, because it's something I don't think about often enough.
As far as subjects I am interested in hearing more about . . . How do you create tension between two objects without being so on-the-nose as having them fight? For example, in this video around the 3 min mark, you are showing two castles on a cliff overlooking water. If we wanted to show tension between these two structures, how could we do it, other than lobbing arrows from one to the other or something similar? Would it be enough to incorporate contrasting colors or shapes? If so, how then do we also create a relationship between them so they look as if they belong in the same painting? That is, for example, if one structure was based on spheres and the other on cones, this might show contrast but it wouldn't necessarily make them feel as if they belong in the same image.
Creating environments never really interested me until this
Trying to put more thought into composition, and this helps. Thanks!
Thanks, Tyler.
Belos e grandes esses cenário.
There are so many different rules to consider when designing something. What is the most basic one to start out practicing? Shape design is my guess.
has to be to ask what the scene is about, then make sure the entire composition supports that decision. yea it all starts with good lines, shapes, patterns.
So good, just what I need - thank you!
I cannot help feeling that the castle is about to fall!
Ty so much ❤
I ve seen these kinds of videos a lot but I must put it in to practice more because my work stays dull :p thanks for the theory reminder
Thanks so much dude. Nice vid.
Quality video, Brother.
This is all helpful!
