Was surprised to see the plane get a pushback to the ramp before starting both engines. Was REALLY surprised to see that guy just walk past the nacelle at 6:28 to remove the last chock. I guess he knows that the engine won't be starting up anytime soon, but the safety officer in me still screamed.
Haha, same. Back when American Eagle operated the ATR-72-200's and 500's that area was called the kill box and you didn't ever go in it for any reason, regardless if you knew the engines wouldn't start or not. ATR's were especially dangerous because of hotel mode. The engine could be running but the blades were stopped, and once they released hotel mode, that blade would just instantly start spinning with no warning.
Great flight! Long comment but I have plans to book a flight for my upcoming birthday, which is November 2, but don't know where to go yet so I'm not in a rush. And I have paid all of the flights in the past even though I live with my mom's house. I use my bedroom as a home office and I'm a photo editor mostly doing photoshop, because remember I'm sole proprietor. I don't do it in-person so people can send me a photo, I do edits, and they can send me money for any amount no less than $1 based on editing quality. If they don't like it, then they don't have to pay or I can do better editing. That's how I spent money for all my flights in the past.
You know... I try to fly as many different airlines as possible to keep things fresh. But, I just have a hard time subjecting myself to those uncomfortable seats on Spirit haha. I just can't do it haha.
I went on a plane similar to this 50 years ago from PBI to Disneyworld, flew at 10,000 feet., lots of fun. Good view of the control tower taking all. Anyhow, time for me to watch today's General Hospital. They pre-empted yesterday's episode due to a special report on the crisis in Israel. We have to see if that corrupt prison warden gets away with her plan to leave everyone behind in the lurch and what she has planned for Cyrus.
