- Welcome back to the channel! We've had this one in the pipeline for a while.
Today, I’m taking you on an adrenaline-fueled journey at Bishops court with my GYTR Yamaha R1. This beast has been built by the guys at Cresent Motorcycles so massive thanks to them. I can't wait to show you what it can do on the track.

Possibly the quietest track day ever. All the same, I'd love you to attend one of the Bennetts track days. Im sure there would be a spot made for you no matter the course. Cadwell Park would no doubt bring back some memories for you. Hope to see you around.

Be nice to see him at the sunflower again , but the circuit is now up for sale looking like the end of racing at bishopscourt or maybe Johnny & investors could buy it & make it an even better circuit.
@@colinclugston4757 yes I seen it’s for sale. Unfortunately I think its days are numbered as local residents complain about the noise. It is already restricted on what it can do because of that. Hard to run a circuit like that

I don't know how (maybe overly) sensetive my empathy is but delivering a training bike with NO preload to a world champion and openly communicating this in public, might be the most subtle "Yamaha watch your stuff"-kinda warning someone has ever pulled off 😂

What a quality video, class track day bike and some good mates.. that’s all you need. I have to say though, my track day experiences don’t mirror JR’s track day experiences.. If only 🙏🏽😂😂

Push starting a YZR500 been much easier & more fun but least got a good battery in that cool mini-truck to haul or drag this thing away :)

I loved it when the pros do track days. I was a good ish club racer and would ride my R1 to track days for fun and cheap practise. I was at Donington on one such occasion leading the fast group thinking I was .........Steve Hislop, when a guy on a 125 passed me like i was parked at the old hairpin. Yes it was a young Leon. I also used to race with a guy called Jim Gaitley in NI back in the 70's I believe he became the British Quad champ much later on? Did your paths cross?

@@andyadair85 a squid is usually a newer rider, rides over their head, thinks they should be riding in Moto gp but don’t have a clue . They also might be sporting a stick on Mohawk on their helmet and wearing cheap, but flashy gear….;)

It would show how slow you really are!!!! When I was racing I was at a practice day at Brands. This guy came flying passed. I got back to the paddock and he was next to us. Looked over and it was Sir John Surtees on his Patton. I don’t remember anyone getting near him. Class never leaves for sure.

Thanks for this. You said you don't have the confidence to get into the throttle on the race bike. Man that's incredible, that's my issue as well and I'm just a new guy at track days. My panigale intimidates the hell out of me on throttle. I just don't want to pull it! Good to hear the pros have the same issue! 😊

Awesome content! To see a racing legend do what we all do out there on track days. Turn suspension knobs and see how things change 😃 Just wish there was some traffic, not a one bike show, that's so boringly exclusive 🤪 I've got a 06 636 that I bought for peanuts and love chasing bikes of 10 fold the value around track 😈 Great fun doesn't need to be expensive. 😍
