Becoming a good trader takes time and patience. When i first got into trading i was liquidated twice, and lost my entire mortgage deposit. I could have given up, but decided to learn how to trade and put it into practice. 4 years later and i am glad i made that decision.

The truth is, the role of an investment advisor can often be overlooked but should never be underestimated. After facing a significant portfolio loss in 2020 during the COVID pandemic while trying to manage my investments on my own, I decided to reach out to an investment advisor. At that time, I had about $126K left in my portfolio. Now, without having to lift a finger, I'm semi-retired, working only 7.5 hours a week, and I'm just 15% short of my $3.5 million retirement goal thanks to my subsequent investments.

Brolin’s strategy was a disciplined, momentum-based or swing trading method: buy established stocks at temporary lows, sell once they rebound, and repeat. He relied heavily on technical analysis to identify entries and exits-and maintained strict rules around when to get in and when to get out.

Woo! Great interview, I’m on the same boat here he was on as an Actor and damn glad I stumbled upon this for some validation. I’ve been fortunate to be able to consistently act in commercials over the last 16 years although the money itself isn’t consistent enough. I also am aware that if fame were to occur that it doesn’t necessarily mean the money would follow. There are many famous people and actors that are broke and I feared that. For the last 2 years I’ve been committed to learning how to day trade so I can have more control over my income and couldn’t be happier, don’t see myself doing anything else other than acting and day trading. Acting is now just for fun and if it brings in money then good but the stock market is where it’s at. Part of me felt guilty for not fully committing 110% to just trying to make a living acting and be a “serious actor” only having a plan A but like Brolin my family’s gotta eat! Just nice to hear other Actors also day trading especially one I’m a fan of.

Trading on a demo account can definitely feel similar to the real market, but there are some differences. It's important to remember that trading involves risks and it's normal to face losses sometimes. One piece of advice is to start small and gradually increase your investments as you gain more experience and confidence. It might also be helpful to seek guidance from experienced traders or do some research on different trading strategies.

Josh Brolin is someone I enjoyed his work over the years. Great to hear he made more money investing than in acting, very impressive indeed. Great job Josh, not something many other celebs can truthfully say. I tried trading at all different time periods and have become pretty successful and read many books over the years on TA. What Mr. Brolin claims that he found investing made him more money than day trading is a fact, because it has been proven the shorter the time interval in technical analysis the more random it is. I still make trades daily, but I am not a day trader. I am not buying that same stock and selling that same stock the same day. Day trading you can make money on with a system with iron will discipline, but cannot usually have a job other than day trading.

As an investing enthusiast, I'm intrigued by how top-level investors achieve millionaire status through crypto. With over $545K in equity from a recent home sale, I'm exploring the best next steps. Is now the optimal time to invest in crypto, or should I strategically wait for a better opportunity?

I completely understand your perspective. I began investing on my own as well, but faced significant losses. After the 2020 market crash, I managed to recover approximately $200k. I then partnered with an analyst, and within just seven months, my investment grew to nearly $673,000.

whether acting or day trading-requires curiosity, discipline, and a willingness to evolve. For those looking to trade or invest, the consistent theme is education, risk management, and personal resilience. Day trading can be lucrative but demanding; many traders eventually incorporate (or pivot to) long-term strategies to balance work, life, and well-being.

To be 100% honest with you. I had the same question 4 years ago. I was confused as heck. Now copying other traders for over 3 years, I would like to tell you, YES copy trading is a good approach. Just keep in mind that the success of copying another trader lies in their transparency. Make sure you know who you are dealing with before copying them. My two cents.

I was able to remain afloat in the market and build my portfolio to around 65% since January by copying trades from a financial expert. In a matter of months, I was also able to achieve a net profit of over $650K by trading equities and certain ETFs. If you're a novice, you ought to think about exploring that choice. That's always a safer option.

Starting out with a with a professional that knows the ropes of the choppy but profitable market is the best way to achieve getting a well structured portfolio. That’s why I have been working with Izella Annette Anderson ‘and that doesn’t make me daft because in financial dealings one have to be prudent. Most traders enter exit with a quick 10% profit which is not bad in a general opinion but why not aim higher, it doesn’t necessarily mean to be greedy.

That’s why I make it a point to speak with a financial advisor before choosing any investments. I’ve been using one since the pandemic, using profits oriented tactics and minimizing risks as a buffer against inevitable downtrends. In addition they have access to insider knowledge and analysis, making failure virtually impossible for them. I’ve made about millions working with Izella Annette Anderson my advisor for over three years now.

To date, I've scaled up nearly 320% ROI. it's been 4 years and counting. I and my advisor are working on a 7 figure ballpark goal and we're not far.

Wait - I first heard of Josh Brolin from when he played the billionaire Investment Banker, Bretton James, in Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps. His character was the head of an investment bank that was really a pseudonym for Goldman Sachs. The Bretton James character was also the enemy of Gordon Gekko. If you’re old enough, then you know what Gordon Gekko means to the trading community. And now to see that Josh Brolin became a trader for real?

As a beginner, educate yourself: Learn the basics of investing and the stock market. There are many resources available online , including books, articles, and online courses. It’s a good idea to diversify your portfolio across different stocks and sectors to minimize risk. I’ve heard of people accruing over $550k during recessions and inflation, it’s important to do your own research.
