Yeah, I think I'm going to do an updated Machinedramon deck next, if I can. Gotta test first but I really wanna make the new Trailmon work. Collision in Machinedramon is just too cute.
Sorry if I missed it but why Double typhoon over agility training? (I see most decks online use training so I'm just curious) Really knowledgeable discussion! Waiting for the rest of my cards for this deck from tcgtrader right now I can't wait to play this. It's gonna be my first deck ever!
I did talk about that at 44:41. If I was running the starter deck Cherubimon then Agility Training would be fine, but it felt like the deck needed EX4 purple Cherubimon.
While I like the list I feel like the pure Lopmon version is better to some degree. Shu lets you digivolve with Alliance or with the Suspend Digimon effects from Lopmon and Turiermon EX6, their inherits are good to get rid of smaller bodies, plus using 4 Antylamons from EX6 and 4 Panjyamons BT11 can lead to good results like playing a Shu for free plus the inherit just gives Rush to a summoned digimon. While EX4 Cherubi Vice is good ST17 just lets you spam more bodies and it's hard for an opponent to just board wipe 4/5 bodies while you have ace potential unless they have a sudden Crimson Blaze. Hell I often find myself have 2 ace potential bodies at all time though I will concede that running into a security bomb just screws everything up XD Double Typhoon is a must and I find myself either running Heaven's Judgement(if I wanna be safe) or Agility Training to just rush down my opponent. Also I often find myself just playing the ST17 wendigomon to trigger the EX4 Lopmon on play multiple times and search for pieces or to spam out Lopmon EX6 effects to avoid blockers OR get a Lopmon X to get even more DP but DP should almost never be an issue for you. I played at locals with this deck and I've been able to beat pure Magna X, Rosemon X, Terrier Rapid X and even an odd Imperiadramon here and there. If need be I can share my list if you wanna have a look :) I'm also looking forward for the new Antylamon in BT17, I'll probably start running 3 Antyla EX6, 3 Antyla BT17 and 2 Panjyamon BT11 because recycling trash is far better than playing from hand but Antyla EX6 has their benefits too with their inherit.
@@DDMYT I felt that the pure lop version was a little too tamer reliant. The way I've built it you have more than one way to Alliance up. As for the starter deck Cherubimon I did try him but after a lot of play testing and running into Shine Ruin and Valkyrimon and DeathX a lot having an extra body didn't matter unless it was Luci or Rapid. I was sceptical too until I slotted in the old guy and he saved me so many games that the new one would have cost me. (A lot of demon lord players at my locals.) As for Panjyamon I did go over that in the video. Just a little too clunky with this build, where I want the level 4s to be kicking off the chain. Probably works better in the agility training/mem boost version where the level 5s do the heavy lifting.
@@DigimonDevelopment EX4 Cherubi has his merits, that much I admit. Last locals I went against a Demon Lord deck with Drasil as one of the eggs and had a miserable time against it as for being Tamer reliant, not necessarily but I see where you're coming from :)

I was running something very similar. But I realize that even if Shu-Chong is a very good card, is way too expensive for being just a searcher. Yes, the evolution effect is very good and can be used on any of you other digimon. But I'm testing using green memory boost, is 1 memory cheaper, do almost the same (you gain to memory which technically is the same on evolve by 2 less) and you also search and on 4 cards instead of 3. And also I'm using 3 tamer setter, 2 Mimis and 1 Henry. If possible I used 3 Mimis but only have 2 and also Henry is searchable, with that you are very good because you only need 3 memory to start your combo and with a setter or memory boost you can do it easily. And since I also run 3 ST Lopmon, it comes very often so do the double alliance and double evo is also a thing with this list. The thing with Shu-Chong, besides what I mention is what you said, you wanna see it earlier, but I get some games which I didn't see her in the entire game and I was like "stuck" because I need that search of her and that extra 2 memory.
@@lalokx7577 I like to think of Shu-Chong as a wonky memory setter. She'll help give you the two memory in discounts, and if your opponent sets you past three nothing is wasted, it's just more gravy. Plus you can use more than one Shu-Chong effect to discount on multiple different stacks instead of just the one that's swinging. The search is a very nice bonus though. It's nice to have another way to search your mono green bunnies. Also I love being able to search her and another card with the EX4 Lopmon, plus the Double Typhoon. Any excuse to yoink more cards out of my deck to just get them out of the way. Thin it out so I can draw the good stuff faster.
@@kellanduevel835 I was waiting until the banlist hit to answer. I think we're about to have a very blue format and we're bad into Mirage and Imperial. I think which purple Cherubimon you choose will warp the deck around it, and neither play well into blue. Pick your poison really. The one saving grace of my version is that at least there's room for security bombs. You don't have to stuff it to the gills with Mimis and Boosts and Trainings. At least Double Typhoon does _something_ sometimes in security.
