I'm just guessing it's the only thing that makes any sense to me. How can you do that to your own child.

Hessians were actually German mercenaries hired by the British during during the Revolutionary War to help fight the Colonials. This is the only known meaning of this word that I know of, and this motorcycle club.
These young naive girls get involved with these guys, and this is the result, sad tragic story.
Hessians come from the German state of Hesse/Kassel Which is the home state from which the House of Hanover AKA now the house of Windsor comes from .
Why would you think she was so "naive"? No disrespect to her, but I'm sure she knew what she was getting into when she jumped on the back of that bike. Unfortunately, this is one of the outcomes possible when you make what people like you would call "the wrong choice". We know nothing about her other than she was associated with the Hessian MC and her father was a cop. I'm sure there is a lot of other issues in her life that caused her to go in this direction, but you don't know if she was directly involved with the criminal element or not, right? Would you feel the same if you knew she was dealing the drugs?

1) The term "Hessians" refers to the approximately 30,000 German troops hired by the British to help fight during the American Revolution. They were principally drawn from the German state of Hesse-Cassel, although soldiers from other German states also saw action in America.
2) 1:19 It is a scimitar (through the skull) in the logo, used in middle eastern countries (Turkey) long ago. It is imposed on top of an iron cross, which was used often on German medals/awards of both world wars as well as a biker logo of the 1950's.

My father was on the first trial of Maniscalco in the early 80's was the longest running trial in orange county at that time probably still is, it lasted nine months, and ended up in a mistrial, he never did talk about it during or after the trial, during the trial they could not talk about it and i guess after it he just wasn't interested in talking about it i never asked him had my own things going on at that time, i ended up living in Westminster years later in the early 90s and that neighborhood has always been beautiful, great info you pretty much told it dead on from what I've heard through the years, Good job

I lived with a former president of the Nomad Hessians named Joe Merola (aka Little Joe) in 1993. He is no longer with us but he was my friend, my protector and the reason I’m alive today.
He put me on a bus in Palm Springs one morning at 4 am and told me to go “be the person I was supposed to be”. He was a good person and wanted me to go somewhere and be a good person also. I’ve spent every day since then trying to prove him right.

A girl jogging through a park was attacked by two thugs. Police investigated and arrested both subjects. Days later and while the rapists were in jail, their houses burnt down. Someone (related to the victim) retaliated at 4 am. Unfortunately, 2 people died in the one fire. They were family members of the suspects and never did anything wrong. No arrests were ever made. The rapists got 18 years in prison.

that neighborhood has a bit of a bloody history. The city is mostly Vietnamese now, tho, so they may not be really aware. But those of us who Grew up in Westminster will always remember this and the Skillman murder.
45 yrs is a long time to be buried with no headstone, pretty sad..I guess her family were mad and embarrassed that she was involved in that lifestyle that eventually got her killed.
If the burial expenses weren’t paid most cemeteries won’t let you place a marker. Not sure, some families chose not too…. I have a friend who has been gone since 2001 and his family has not paid a dime on his grave. Someone took the little mortuary metal frame marker off his grave so you can’t find him at all. 😢

I used to live in OKC and was a hairdresser.. my salon was next door to a Mongol’s clubhouse.. they were polite and respectful and always watched out for us girls that often worked late and made sure we got to our cars safely! They changed my opinions of MCs!

Right?, Her family gave up on her for something she could have eventually grown out of. I made horribly bad decisions at the age of 19 and it took decades to extricate myself from my lifestyle, but I’ve since raised 3 brilliant children and am a decent human being. This poor young girl needs a marker, she was someone. 🕊

The club’s name is actually derived from a region of West Germany, called “Hessen”. I rode my Harley in Germany for 10 years from 1980 to 1990 and even though Polizie made it legal for the patch, small groups existed there.

The term “Hessian” was a broad term for Germans who fought for the British during The American Revolution. Just over 1/2 were from the 2 actual Hessian states of Kessel and Hanau. The Americans utilized Germans as well, most being from Prussia.

In NJ we used to call the kids that hung out at the smoking exit Hessians. I am not sure why. It was what they were called before I got there. This was in the late 80s. Amphetamine psychosis is what most meth users end up in after continued use. They start thinking everything is a conspiracy and that people are watching them. It is kind of a self centered psychosis. Weed makes it worse and more delusional.

Yeah! I lived and surfed at HB Pier in the 60's and early 70's, and Knew and grew up with some of the guys that became Hessians!
