I was raped by my ex- husband and he attempted to murder me when I left him. I did this and sent it up in a balloon, but I think burning it would've felt much better.

I grew up in a very dysfunctional and abusive family. I ran away from home at age 14. As a kid, my parents beat the crap out of me on a regular basis, along with my brother and sister.. Yet whenever a woman commits a murder a ( biological woman) The death penalty is taken off the table. Example The Doomsday mom who murdered her kids had them (or did it herself) buried on her new husband's property yet the death penalty was taken off the table for her but not for him.

However, ladies, be advised that it is NOT a good idea to rush into a relationship and even set up housekeeping with someone you barely know. There are a lot of crazies out there, and, as this story shows, if you have gone too far, they can become violent if you pull back and try to withdraw from the relationship. Very very dangerous. Also, a protection order is useless and worthless, and some women mistakenly think that such a document has the power to save their life. It doesn't!

When I was a young child, my mother tried to drown me in my bath, because she was suffering from a deep depression that lasted for decades, but I could never do what that reprobate did. No excuses.

Thank you, Lamont for being this woman's advocate. I had never even heard about this case until you presented it. The murderer was a con artist by the description of their behavior, making a dramatic change to garner sympathy and maybe just maybe get a reprieve on the death sentence. It obviously didn't work. Just think of everything his victim went through, even before he raped and killed her. Not to mention that earlier rape of a 14 y/o girl. Her surviving kids got robbed of their mother in such a horrible way. May Beverly and her father rest in peace.

What sickens me to no end is that convicted murderers can live for 20 years or even longer before they are finally executed. That is the most pathetic, atrocious, disrespectful thing for the victims. The victims and their families and loved ones deserve better!

I had an abusive stepfather and what I learned from that is how to let a child be a child for as long as possible without harming them and protect them. I made sure I didn’t grow up with the anger and hate he had towards my siblings and me.

You are so right about the fear when getting stabbed.Years ago walking home from a 7-11 I was robbed by 2 guys and when it started I fought back and knock one guy to the ground and thought he was hurt but while I was fighting with the other guy he got up and stabbed me in the back 3 times.I thought about my kids and wife and my thought at the time was I was going to be on a steel table in the morgue,it's such a weird and terrifying sensation. Rip to the lady this scumbag killed.

Lamont, I've been following your videos for a long time, and I just want to tell you two things: One, I absolutely love your passion for the stories you tell. You truly care about making these victims' stories known, and giving them the proper respect they deserve, and it really comes through. And two, I want you to know how much I truly respect and admire you, for not only being strong enough to stand up and state your feelings and beliefs, but to own them, and stand by that. Even when your opinion isn't the "popular" one, even when you know a lot of people may not support you or agree with you. You are truly a stand up man, and I commend you. Bravo, Sir, and I hope others can learn from your example. And FTR, I very much agree with what you said in this video.
AMEN Lamont! !!! My siblings and I came from a dysfunctional family and abused! We all actually made sure that we raised our children completely opposite of how we were raised! It also made us grow up faster! We would never want anyone to go through what we did! You have choices in life! I always told my children you and you alone are responsible for your actions! It's honestly disrespectful, no way would a man know how it's actually to be a woman and I never hear of women going around raping and murdering women (so then a trans woman wouldn't do that either then).
