Yeah, the Daredevil’s Devil certainly can’t get above 8. People play it wrong because they don’t realise that while you do choose the order in which to resolve his During Combat effects, in order to get to the empty deck you HAVE to resolve his ability to blind boost first. If you choose to resolve the card’s effect first it’s just isn’t there, because you still have a card in your deck.
