Noticed your throughhull and walves are made from different materials. Is that OK when it comes to galvanic corrosion? Great videos BTW. I am an owner of a Hallberg-Rassy Monsun and love the design and building quality of these old Enderlein designs. Looking forward for more episodes to follow your progress.

Yes, they are, because inside is brass and around is stainless steel l don't know why they do that here in Sweden, but that is what you get when you are in the store for the boats.
l love Hallberg Rassy Monsum it's a lovely boat.
Thank you to follow me 😉

@@coldnorthadventures5905 perhaps it is not a bag issue with galvanic corrosion in the baltic with low salt content.
      Keep the videos comming 👍

@@SailingBlueBird My friends' boat that has the same fitting was circumnavigating the world travel for 8 years and then stayed 20 years in the Baltic sea all the time even in the winter when ice was around the boat.
And has no problems whatsoever, so when l heard that, then l made my final decision.

What brand are the thruhulls? How much room for adjustment do you have in the engine mounts? Just keep in mind the engine alignment

Don’t do it! Never use brass unless it’s DZR but even then not great. Why not go with Trudesign? Remember..never skimp on through hulls. They are the only thing stopping your boat from sinking.
If you are going to epoxy in the engine mounts I’d suggest wet and dry sanding them with epoxy first to seal them and then install. That way you expose good metal and it’s immediately sealed in epoxy...a useful tip from West System.

      Thanks,
I know all of this information before I bought it, it was a hard decision for me, l collect all information available and make my decision that it will need to be replaced after 15 years and it's normal stuff to do.
There are three big reasons why l choose to go with this type of through-hole fittings.
The first is that is cheaper than other fittings, don't give me wrong, I'm not trying to save on something like this.
The second reason is that we literally can't buy any other through-hole fittings here in Sweden alternative is plastic or stainless steel that's it.
All of them are quite the same price range.
The third reason is that my friend boat that is in the water all the time also during the winters season and gets frozen between ice, has this feting for more than 30 years and hasn't been any problem at all. Recently 3 years ago she changed to the new ones and said that some of them were looking bad, but more than 30 years common and she been sailing around the world, so that was my final decision to go for this ype of through-hole fittings.
