  • I had my fun using parts off the old F2. I sold a few parts, and now I'm tired of looking at it. If you are in my area, I highly recommend going to River Metals for best payout.

Going to the scrap yard can be an experience. I got an engine valve stuck through a trailer tire one time.

i screwed up when I hauled a forklift in, took it to the wrong yard and they gave me a low price for being an item that needed to be torched apart. got wise and took the dragline to a bigger yard and called ahead of time to make sure and they didn't care, gave us full scrap price. after it got quiet down some, they moved 2 claws over to the outside scale because our lowboy trailer wouldn't have been able to get off the junkyard side but it went flawless. both claws grabbed it and lifted it off without a problem. 32 tons at $275 a ton. yep got more for it when we scrapped it then when we brought it 20 years earlier and we used it to dig a few ponds over the years with it. next day when i took another load in it was all chopped up already.

I’m the same way. Whenever I’m scrapping something I’ll save hydraulic cylinders hoses, pulleys chains anything I think I might use, though. I probably never will. lol

Nice to see you got some good money for your scrap, around our part scrap prices are sick, don't when they'll ever go back up.

Wow -there's something you don't see every day! I was about to bet that the cab/grain tank were not sturdy enough to pick it up.

That’s triple the scrap price in Texas. Maybe even quadruple.

The definition of junk; something you need two days after you haul it to the dump.
