Additional Information: While draining the coolant, it's important to extract it from the thermostat housing by opening the radiator cap. This step should help minimize coolant waste.

If you take your time and use WD-40 along with a 90-degree pick tool, you may not need to break it into two. I wiggled it very hard, and it just ended up breaking apart.😅

If is hard to rotate the clip or the hose, just use some wd40 before. Try to rotate the clip to a comfort position for pliers. Wigle the hose apliyng more wd40, it easier to take off each separetly.

I just ordered this part for my 2006...not looking forward to the install but that's got to be where the leak is. Thank you very much for this detailed video! I appreciate it.

I thought it was a piece of cake, but the 20 year old rubber hoses were pain in the neck. You may need "90 Degree Pick Tool" to get this done 10 times faster. Good Luck!

My English might sound a bit awkward as I'm Japanese, born and raised in Japan. Since not many Japanese people own this car anymore, I thought I should try sharing the videos in English :)

Hello. The product number is 17127515494. I bought this item in Japan. Unfortunately, they don't offer international shipping. It depends on your location, but you might consider searching online to find out where you can buy the item locally. You can just google "17127515494".

What is the name of the part? Napa canada is the only parts house that carry it in stock. $66 vs $150 at BMW dealership

I'm not exactly sure what it's called, but the product number is "17127515494." Have you checked eBay? It might take a bit of time, but it's slightly cheaper there.
Also, there's an upgraded version made of aluminum, as mentioned by @sidewalkMCS below. Some people have said that the quality isn't good and it tends to leak, so I prefer the one made of plastic.

Did you just say "$150 at BMW dealership"? Just for the product? No way....

that H shaped part fails really often. URO parts makes upgraded part made of aluminum and MUCH longer lasting.

I wasn't sure which one to buy because the plastic piece lasted for 20 years. Let's see how long it's going to last this time.

I don't know exactly what's that called. "Cooling Hose Connector" or "Connection Piece" or something like that.
The product number is "17127515494" so you can just google it.
