Amazon to Shareholders: "These are built to last thirty-five days for a cheaper price, so we can get just past our thirty day return window closing. Enjoyed the review. Didn't notice if the boots had any sort of label indicating material. Typically it has symbols indicating real leather for outer, lining, and sole. I notice a lot of bonded leather, which is like leather particle board, and really cheap and crappy pig skin, which they will then coat the hell out of kind of like old patent leather, to try and hide the fact that it is in fact cheap and crappy pig skin. Really surprised that there was no country of origin. And yes, I agree, can find far better used if you take some time to look. Sadly, even more expensive shoes and boots are no guarantee of quality.
Ever sInce Amazon launched here in Sweden I haven't purchased a single thing from them and I never will!
The only thing that I need to see to judge if it's a good or bad boot, is if you reach for the band saw or not.
could you compare different fake leathers by their trademarks/namings? cause i remember having "micro-fiber" fake leather soccer boot and they lasted a long long time
Lets see some Danner Mountain Light hiking boots cut open!
Great video! Would you consider doing one on Carmina?
Amazon can't do foam in both boots and pillows lol that hard chunk in the pillow threw me.
I was curious if you’ve done any on the DSW brand “Warfield and Grand” boots? I’d like to know the quality of those and see if they’re just pure garbage, or not.
I know you’ve done docs but You should do the Doc martens x Rick Owens suede too see if they change anything
I need you to test the $80 golden fox moc toe boots. I have a pair and love them!!!!
Have you gotten and Russell Moccasin boots to try out yet? They are about an hour from where I live now and I need a better pair of work boots. I spend about 200-500/year on work boots.
Can you cut a Swedish pair of lundhags boots like the forest ii. They are meant to be resoled and to last for around 30 years when taken care of
Why would anyone buy this when Clarks makes the bushacre 2?
Exactly! If you keep an eye on the dealspotting sites, I've seen them drop as low as $25.
People don't realize that though and end up with the Amazon basics because Marketing.
Clarks are such good value for their quality. I have never been disappointed by their leather shoes and boots,
Hate to ask but on 1 of your videos can you explain what the center cut score is and how you come up with it.
can you do osiris d3 2001.....or any other bulky skate shoes
Happy Thursday
I had a clone-pair in grey from a random imprint named "Sonoma" and let me tell you, those things never wear in, they're always stiff as heck and YOUR FEET WILL SWEAT SO BADLY OMG
For 42$ you would expect allot more , I bought a set of red tag boots from the local dws they have held up nicely for a year or so now you gotta look at the boot and it’s construction and I believe those where 35-40$ with real leather amazon must be making a killing on these boots
Could you review some of the alternative styles of timberland boots? They make other styles im curious about
I want to see Clarks!
It's a Radar Chart, or in your case a KayDar Chart. I'm enjoying this chukka series.
I have never bought anything off Amazon - and that little video gave me right. Why should I support a quasi-monopolist?
If there is no Goodyear welt, do the stitches hold anything in place or are they just there to deceive?
Amazon Publicly: "These are high quality and built to last for a cheaper price!"
Amazon to Shareholders: "These are built to last thirty-five days for a cheaper price, so we can get just past our thirty day return window closing. The lower price entices people to buy them and since they wear out just past the return window we have their money. So many people are into fast-fashion that they expect products to only last for one wear."
It would be interesting to check out the canvas sneakers from "Nothing New". They are made from the same creators of Thursday Boots. They claim to make their sneakers from recycled products. I have a pair, and I find them to be much more comfortable than Chucks.
