Thank you for this. I'm trying to learn/improve to make cake toppers. 😇 I'm gonna be using air-dry clay, hopefully, it will work like this or at least somewhat acceptable.
Yes. Thank you! It is the original name actually. I just thought its much catchy than the new one XD I don't know I changed it in the first place. Haha!
Hello there! I rolled the clay without the wire. I'm using air dry clay, after molding the legs I will dry it overnight then I will insert the wire in the morning. It will be easy to insert wire because the inside of the legs is still a bit soft but the outside is already hard and it will not deform even you add wire. Just be careful. I always use a long pointy tool first then the wire to guide it. I hope you understand my english 😅
If you don't like what I'm doing. There's more two ways. You said it you can insert the wire when rolling the clay tho it'll be hard to mold it. 2nd is make an armature there it'll be easier especially if you're doing realistic figure
Thank you so much! Absolutely understand what you are describing. Thanks for taking the time. I love seeing your tips and tricks on using the cold porcelain. I am coloring a bunch of it today to play around with it. Thanks again and take care!
Do you ever use an armature? (Wire underlying to affix the clay to)? I've seen one video where an armature was used, scrunched up tin foil for "grip" etc. This clay looks amazing and quite strong enough without an armature, but just wondering if taller/bigger figurines may need one?
Hi I only use water/alcohol and cotton if you're using air dry clay, if you're using polymer clay use baby oil on paint brush before baking it or if it's already baked you can use nail polish remover/acetone to remove fingerprints.
This is amazing! How do you get rid of the crease/ marks when you first shape the clay into a ball? For some reason there are marks in my clay and fingerprints lololol
Thank you! Hmmm. Condition the clay and press it hard while making it into a ball. I always smooth it using my fingertips too. I suggest you don't mind the finger prints while working, it is easy to remove when you're done sculpting :)
when you say COLD PORCELAIN AIR DRY CLAY on your videos, did you mean to say they are your homemade diy cornstarch clay? if yes, how many days this chibi take to dry???
OMG i thought I already replied to you! Yes my homemade cold porcelain clay. It dries depending on the thickness of the body. For example half inches will completely dried within 2 days
The boongas The bu donkers The honger bonger doinky woinkes Are all ways to describe how detailed the hands are….like WOW that’s some real detail (Get your mind out the gutter you chicken nuggets)

Do you add your wire to the legs off camera? So when we see you rolling the clay for the leg, is there wire already inside? Thanks. Love the videos!
