  • The 100th Running of the Pikes Peak Hill Climb was INSANE!!!
When the fog rolled in and there was snow and ice up top, we thought we had no chance of running the full mountain... but thankfully we did!
Running in the 11 minute range will not suffice and we will do everything ion our power to run in the 9's or 8's once the fog clears up in the future races.

Takes some courage to drive in those conditions I'm sure. You are a legend.
But this makes Robins run seem that much more insane; less visibility and going much faster.

.. These conditions just seems TOO dangerous.

If the main goals are safety why not just cancel the run and give it a shot when the conditions aren’t so bad?

Yeah really. It’s crazy to me that the event wouldn’t be postponed until conditions were better. It’s like no one can swallow their pride for safety

It involves shutting down a national park, teams from all over the world, 11 months and 2 weeks of planning and execution, moving it by a day essentially means canceling it. There are literally hundreds of hours of planning and work on the part of each individual team, all with the understanding that the mountain doesn't give a damn about you or your schedule. Do it or you come back next year and hope it doesn't happen again.

Got really distracted by the eyebrows at 0:55. Took a while to recover.
