- The British Comedy Awards 2010 presented by Jonathan Ross
The British Comedy Awards has been the premier accolade for all comedy programmes, performers and producers across the UK television industry since 1990.
The concept for the Awards was originally devised and produced by British TV legend, Michael Hurll to promote homegrown comedy talent. The original show was presented by Michael Parkinson and winners included VICTORIA WOOD as Best Live Stand-up, PAULINE QUIRKE as Best TV Comedy Newcomer, and DROP THE DEAD DONKEY as the Best New TV Comedy. Other winners included RUSS ABBOTT, CLIVE JAMES & ROWAN ATKINSON.
Since then the Awards have been presented by Jonathan Ross* and as a result they have increasingly grown a reputation for being outrageous and unpredictable.
LOVE WOSSY!! So wish he were back on the BBC
I have no idea why you would be watching this if you're not british. In fact why did i just watch it? Oh yeah to see Simon Amstells face for 3 seconds. Worth it.
So glad Grandma's House is back on! Based on the 1st 2 epi's, the writing seems even better than the 1st series! Looking fwd to savoring every morsel of it all, & for as long as they'll renew it too!!
I don't really dislike Jonathan Ross, he has his moments. (None in this particular video, unfortunately.) There are so many comedians in Britain who outclass him though - I really don't understand how he manages to get on TV.
I was already gone for 1 month you brought me back.
4:44 simon from the inbetweeners looking thoroughly excited to be there
Am I the only person who thinks Simon Amstell's actually a great actor?
LOL : ''I'm 'filled' to be here''
if you're here for simon amstell his mention is at 5:30
I was wondering when the amstell line would come up. pretty good one too.
Grandma's house was hysterical. Go away.
If you want to see Amstell, 5:29
Any chance of anyone uploading the 2011 opening of the comedy awards please?
The description says the wrong year. It baffles me that they got that wrong.
5:27 Grandma :)
great punchlines- atleast wossy can take the piss out of himself too
David, Furnish, and Elton John.
A needlessly comprehensive description of the history of the British comedy awards and yet you get the year wrong?
Come on we all know Grandma's house wasn't up to Parr.
anyone else notice he said '2011'
@UncleKennybobs he seems like such a great guy, he's just... not very funny. maybe he could do some comedy acting with other people's lines? he's got good stage command and a great smile.
It's typical that an awards show for comedy would be bereft of laughs. Any interview with Ross is better than this.
I miss Simon Amstell, what are you doing now Amstell?
Oh wow 1 sec
Is that Simon's mum and gran at the table with him?
No, of course not.
i love jonathon but hes not as funny when trying to do the micke out of people. hmm.
