I love old school and new school sweep picking. The old way is so comforting in a way and really important technique to master before moving onto the stuff you showed
I totally agree with you when it comes to sweep picking being cliche. I sweep fairly often, but I only do it briefly into a target note. I really like it because it's modest instead of overwhelming and doesn't just sound like an exercise.

Outstanding lesson review! I'll come back and learn these tomorrow its late and I'm falling f*king asleep just sitting here with my axe.
For shure you're right. 🤘🤘
Thanks for the tips man, agree 100% with using extended chords to make sweeping sound more interesting. Cheers!
Your Right hand technique is fire.
Cool ideas, thanks, I will try that now :-)
I hated the sound of sweep picking until I found AAL and Chon.
Completely prefer to this modern fusion sound to the neoclassical one.
You previously showcased the pick, middle, ring to play the Em9 & Gmaj9 arpeggios. How do you @GiuseppeGilardi choose which to choose?

Great lesson! Big fan of Andre Nieri as well.
