I’ve loved C.S. Lewis since I was nine, becoming acquainted with Jesus in Aslan. As a little girl, how I wished there was “really” Someone like Aslan…and 20 years later, I met Him. Now I am 70. I just want to say that I am delighted with the idea of gravity as the expression of humility. I look for these signs in nature as I relish the treasury of literary symbols in the stories of Lewis (and Tolkien). Thank you for this!
I loved out of the silent planet! It is true that we need a more biblical cosmology. Can you share the list of books by C.S. and others on this topic in the feed?
Excellent talk, although it’s difficult to stay focused when Wilson is abruptly cut off mid-sentence every two or three minutes with ads for mini-pizzas or trashy TV shows.
I think that Out of the Silent Planet is the best of the trilogy. That Hideous Strength reads like a Charles Williams novel - and was better done by Charles Williams. Voyage to Venus seems a bit contrived. I do like then all however.

Thanks for posting !
Pretty mind blowing. Quite a way to think about the universe.
When's Canon gonna publish this whole lecture series?
Fascinating.

Michael Ward's "Planet Narnia" has a wealth of riches in the footnotes!
And the Discarded Image by Lewis. I read that for my C. S Lewis class with Pastor Wilson and it changed me forever.
Listening to Planet Narnia on audio right now, its excellent.
When is ND Wilson going to write a screenplay for this? I would love to personally work on that film!

You can listen to the podcast to avoid that...or install AdBlock Plus on your browser to make RUclips more pleasant.
Valerie (Kyriosity) Thanks, yes I did end up listening to the podcast and it was much more comprehensible
So, the star to the wise men was more like an alien visitation?
Ahem...PFifltriggi, not PPifltriggi!
