What do you think about selling the goldwing? bit.ly/3WP5LlK
LOVE YOU GUYS
😘
Change the name of your channel to Mike Branch Glides. That will brake you clean from the gold wing
you moved to the right bike, i had a road king and sold it for a smaller bike, and in less than i year i got rid of the bike i sold the original road king for and bought another road king and i will never not be on a road king again
Seems like this is the general consensus. I’m really happy with it
At WMBR we play the hits while y’all eat your grits.sunny & warm in Florida.
That’s right!!
Own a 2007 roadking has done 9000 klms just had to replace the compensator very dissatisfied with Harley at the moment and the truth is it’s by far not the best bike on the road. My Indian chief vintage makes the Harley engine seem like it was engineered by either idiots. Or maybe Harley engines were designed by some very smart people who knew you would be forced to upgrade critical engine parts forever and keep a company alive.
The Tampa crew is killing the RUclips game keep up the great work guys
And we’re all good friends. Great place to be
@@UncleBogator Yeah Maine not so good of a place to be for the year-round motorcycle riding. But there’s still some pretty cool freaking people up here
would love to be able to ride all year round
Congrats on the RK, Mike! How you diggin' that back rest? They make a world of difference for this old man. As for the GW, if I were you I wouldn't feel obligated to keep it against your deepest wishes just because of the ties it has to the channel. The wheels of life roll on. Change is inevitable. However, if it ain't eatin' nuttin' and you have the room to house it, why not have a backup in the ol' stable?
I like your way of thinking.
My goldwing was my first bike with a backrest. I’ll always have one now. It’s a back saver on the road
51 and finishing one year on my first bike the Royal Enfield Meteor 350, love it but starting to want a long distance tourer…..
Love a Royal Enfield but the big bikes definitely making touring more comfortable
Yeah I had an Enfield Royal when I was living in India in 1992. Lot of fun. But at the age of 53 I finally got my bike license and am hopefully getting a Harley street 500 (after my bloody hernia operation next week lol) but definitely getting the road king once I’m on my full licence! 👍
Hey Mike, wonderful news about the new bike. Might be a good time to take a class from Jerry Palidino, "Ride like a Pro". These classes are in your area, concentrate on low speed skills, mostly Harley riders, might be worth a look. Lots of free on-line videos also. Happy Holidays to you and yours!
Yeah he’s close by. I’ve never taken any classes. Maybe one day.
Great video! I'm in a "mental hole" now, last 20yrs has been work and family. Watching your video has made me realize I have to get out more, 22 RK is collecting dust. Lol
Get out and do it my man
I think we may have gone to different schools together, as I am in that mental hole you speak of...
Making friends was always easy for me, with the exception of the past 5 years or so, I guess the state of the world has alot to do with it, and somewhere down the line I became a hermit...dont know how it happen but it did.
Damn I miss Florida...always love the vids bro.👍I honestly have to say imo Mike Branch rides is about Mike Branch no matter your ride, swamp water is cool, and it should definently go to someone in the gang...just my $.02...whatever U do to the King will be pimp, I'm sure.
Thanks my man! Yeah i don’t know why it’s been so much harder to make friends than it was years ago. This past year has been alright though. At least for me.
Sorry to say this Buuuuuut, sell ole "Swamp water" now or it will languish in your garage and just be in the way. Bikes that sit turn to s$^t.
Had to put my new Ultra Apex in hibernation for the winter. Back to riding my 1st gen 650klr or GASP- drive the 1-ton stupid dookie.
Yeah that’s what I’m afraid of. I don’t want it to sit. I want it to get the miles she deserves
Great vid Mike. I miss being as excited about something like you are about the Road King. I love my Ultra but alas Winter has reared it's ugly head here in West Virginia. Stay safe.
I’m up in Tennessee right now freezing my ass off. So happy I live in Florida
Funny you talk about peasant days of the triumph. And then you say you had the street triple. If you had the speed triple you wouldn't call it a peasant bike, it would run circles around any Harley any day of the week
Alex there’s some sarcasm in my video that you appear to have missed. And I’ve never claimed to have had any of the triples.
I ride a '19 RK, Long Live the King!
I’m new to riding. I ride alone, but not by choice. I just got my bike in January for my 40th bday from my wife👌🏽. Now here it is, I have this nice bike, but nowhere to go. I got a 2005 Road King Custom. I ride it to work, which is just right around the corner from my house😒🤦🏽♂️. I have a fun time riding from Wildwood to Ocala for Church. My longest ride was to Orlando. That was so much fun. Yet I was by myself. I really need to get a windshield though. Great video.
Great vid! However, I would like to know if the pizza and wings were.....superb lol
💯
Cameras, radios, microphones wtf. Just ride. To each his own.
Yeah but here we are watching motorcycle videos on RUclips
Great day hanging and riding!!
Good times Mike!!
👍🐾🍻⚡☺🐾🍕
Heck yeah man always
Good vlog! I have to say my 05 Electra Glide with tour pack removed and passenger back rest installed is the King of The Road! LOL!! That batwing fairing is a life saver here in NC for winter riding. If the Goldwing were mine, I would work on her as just something to do, little projects, to sweeten it up. Maybe if I find myself not giving it the attention it deserves I would let her go to someone that would appreciate her more. Yeah, I'm like that. I just can't treat them as inanimate objects. Must be the retired Marine in me. It's kinda like, "This is MY rifle, there are many like it but this one is MINE" thing.
Honestly I do like working on the goldwing. Been one of my favorite hobbies this past year. Electra with the tour pack off is a sexy beast
@@UncleBogator Yeah Brother!! Ride Safe!
Sell the wing and put the money into your wife's bike build . ?
Likely the case honestly.
Unfortunately I can't subscribe to your channel because of those restrictions
What restrictions?
I thought you may have been one of those you tubers that didn't need others you tubers in there videos, but in the first 3 minutes I heard I was wrong. Only in America. Shame I liked couple videos I watched.
The people in my videos are my friends.
@@UncleBogator ok
Dude i keep wondering if your actually color blind at to me its red garnet red to be exact lol how you see black ill never know lol and if i may make a suggestion im making it yours have you thought about tooled leather ? meaning a design thats means something to you tooled into the veg tan leather ,even matching tooled saddlebags ,a tank bib front and maybe rear fender bibs ether all matching or different but follows a thyme. i myself am hoping to get into the craft and do them to my 05 kymco witch is a bright red .check it out on you tube the bossabitlys are endless.
Been looking at some options on customization out there. Lots of them to choose from. That’s a good thing about harleys. Parts are everywhere! Tooled leather does look nice.
@@UncleBogator and if i may ad it can be stand in a hole host of colors from a natural color then sealed and then almost water proved or water resistant .myself im hoping to do a black with red .or red with black accents ..
more nickles got your playlist on auto watching allday till i get tired of ya lol
hell yeah
Don't say goodbye to your GoldWing Youll Have remorse.Too many memories to let her slip away.
Glad you got your RK. Great bike. That is what I ride and you're right, the King is King. Nuff said. Be safe! 👍🏽🤠 4/10/23
Cheers!
You should donate swamp water to forgotten angels 😇
It’s a slight possibility but I’m not rich enough to give away motorcycles
👍
Do a 5k GAW….😂
Mike where did you get the wings on your left shoulder?
This specific set? Surplus store about 4 miles from my house. I was an aircrewman in the marines and earned my original ones.
The more of us, the less of them. LONG LIVE 2 WHEELS!
I work on my bike on my little carport that I have a plan to close in. I’m glad I’m not the only one that has to deal with minimal space.
No longer part of the 55%.
I hit the subscribe button.
Thanks for the content.
I enjoy your videos.
MLH&R
Appreciate the support!
What bike does BoMama ride?
Dyna Fat Bob. 2010
Enjoyed this video, I think you should keep old swamp water, but that’s just my opinion. I have 4 bikes currently because I don’t really like to sell one. If rather just continue growing the herd lol
One day I’ll have a whole stable lol
That road king looks good man!...fun times hanging with friends!....time we'll invested!...thanks for sharing...stay safe...ride safe!!😎👍🤙👍🤙🇨🇦
Hell yeah man I love this thing!
that is an awesome black bagger Mike.... obviously you have transfer your affections from faithful old swamp water to the slutty new black bagger.... you should let her go, so she can find love again.... love yall...
Appreciate it Jack! Already head over heels for this Road King man
Don't think that your ready to let the Goldwing go
Maybe not.
@@UncleBogator You said it yourself, it’s not hurting anything where it’s at…. unless you need the garage space. If so, you could treat it like a “sold” bike at Burts HD and keep it outside 😝
New subscriber ❤
Welcome aboard!
Even though a bike has saddle bags, that doesn't make it a bagger. A bagger has to have a fairing and saddle bags to be a bagger. I suggest you install fork wind deflectors, makes a world of difference keeping the breeze from coming up at you under the windshield. Good luck.
Yeah I’d like some wind deflection there.
Great video! love my RKS. True King of the Baggers
All hail!
Perfect angle of the Car Accident that seems to have hit a Bus at 7:20... did not see anyone else had mentioned it 🙃 thanks for the video, getting my first Road King next week
Have fun with it!
Love the vids mike it was ah good time riding with yall and loving the new bike
Look at Blue collar bobbers for the wife’s bike. All bolt on and they look real cool. I did my old v star with parts from them.
Coincidentally we put all of their kit on her bike. Seat, light mounts, and fenders.
I agree, I wish HD would bring that model back, with updates.
I think they will. I suspect they left it out this year to make the highway king more exclusive
I felt the same way, until I bought my Indian. I was WAY too big for the RK. Beautiful bike though, hope it fits you better than they fit me.
So far it's perfect. We'll see how she does on a road trip.
@@UncleBogator I'm 6'3, 280. A lot of bikes are too small for me. Lol.
Love the Roadking. Unfortunately mine is 500 miles from where I'm working
Ouch that hurts
Glad you got your dream bike. Great color as well. I found you a few years ago with your Iron butt video on your road glide. Paused during your royal Enfield experiment but have been back since you got the goldwing.
Thanks Bo. Yeah I was easing my way back in. I was a little gun shy on another big bike since we’d just gotten through flu layoffs.
The best motorcycle on the road? I think Indian Motorcycle has something to say about that.
Won’t be able to hear them over the sound of all this muscle
RIP HD, Inc. 1903-1999
I’m here for the revival!
Totally agree, very nice bike 👍
Hey, I just subbed love the Road King it's my dream bike also. I just can't decide if I will like not having a fairing. I live right on Lake Erie NE Ohio and used to ride my Hayabusa until it snowed.
Thanks Mark! It’s my favorite too. I had a road glide and of course my goldwing. It’s yet to be seen how much I’m going to miss the faring but always wanted this bike.
@Mike Branch Rides How is the windshield for cold weather riding? I love that it's like a convertible of sorts.
Great video Mike , it's always a good thing to hanging ride with friends. it's even better when your out with the family 👍
Always a better time
yeah best you take a class now you own a Harley, they don't stop, turn or handle.
Oddly enough I’ve only gone in a straight line this whole time.
What triumph did you have? RUclips must have recommended your videos because I have been looking at videos of road kings.
Yeah that damn algorithm knows how to snag ya lol. I get caught all the time.
Had a triumph bobber. Really cool motorcycle. Just didn’t choose it often when I rode
@@UncleBogator I saw your video of the demo ride and purchase at Tampa triumph. They treated my wife and I very well when we visited there in 2020 as did the people at Bert’s Barracuda.
It's hard to sell a bike that you're attached to, and if that's the reason hang on to it. I found out this summer that after a couple of months of having a new bike I never ride the old one. I rode the old bike a few weeks back for the first time since i got the new one and realized all the reasons I got the new one. At that moment I realized it was just going to rot so I might as well sell it. I think most people are here for you, not the goldwing.
This is right on the money man.
Love the bike brother! Content keeps getting better you look comfortable in front of it…
Remember us little people when you have a million subs! Lol
Thanks my man! Don’t think I’ll ever get that big but I’ll never forget this time
i am here for you/the vids you make not what you ride. i do prefer the Road King though lol so i say sell it and use it for stuff for the new bike or to put towards the wifes new bike that we all know she will get lol. have you all thought about a VTX 1300? cheap , bigger, faster but not too much. just a thought. good vid ohh i prefer mag wheels too. the ones i really like are from Coastal moto but are about $1400 lol each. they look like spokes but not. i forget the name. thats me though
$1400 each?! Omg man. Too rich for me haha
@@UncleBogator i forgot to say they will take your old wheels in exchange some times to help with the cost. it depends what they are though and condition. so it could work for you if so. i would ask/find out more though before pulling that trigger lol.
Thanks for letting me spend the day with you. Great video.
Thanks!
WHATYEAR
2014
I had two bikes for several years. Came to realize it was an unjustifiable expense. Similar to having forty pair of shoes and two feet.
Great example
Totally justified 😂
What is a sweet ride my friend very nice God bless you brother
Appreciate it
Don't do anything to it
Just ride it !!! Mike Branch Rides !! Or wrenches ??? Lol
Too tempting to mess with it lol
@@UncleBogator that's true !!
I feel your pain on the wing. Sentimental as hell I'm sure. But, gotta love the king.
Yeah I hope if i sell it, it goes to someone I know honestly. Custody and all
Good video dude!
Appreciate it man
Of course dude! sorry I was Mike Branch late lol!
Yeah I hear you with the clamps on the handlebars. I used to have all sorts of stuff on my handlebars on the Eluder but the Challenger stuff is so pretty I hate a bunch of stuff on the bars now.
I want to go lower profile on my phone mount too. My wing had all sorts of shit on it
@@UncleBogator that's why I love having the stereo on the Indian! No more phone on bars.
@@cl2eep_rides can’t hear it clearly for my tastes.
Happy for you that you are enjoying the newly acquired Road King!
Thanks my man!!
You should name it the “black bagger”
That’s the running name!
Mate, This video was a lot of fun and you do a great job of narrating it too. 53 and finally got a bike license recently and will start off with the Street 500 but will definitely graduate to a roadking. Thanks for posting and you just got yourself a subscriber from Oz. Keep up the good work and helping me stay motivated! 👍
Hey I appreciate that. Street 500 is a fine machine. Cheers 🍻
I have you beat lol. I was 59 when I got my license. I now am 64 and am riding a 2003 goldwing. It's already my 3erd bike. I too now like bike.
🤴
All hail
Do a 5k GAW….😂
Ha! For the wing?!
@@UncleBogator exactly! I mean it might not be a wise financial choice, but could be beneficial. For you and a lucky winner!
I also ride a road king, 2007. It is my most wanted sense I was a young lad. Keep up the good work dude!
Love em. I’ve wanted one since my mid 20s. Don’t know why I waited so long but happy with it. Cheers 🍻
I have an 07 RK myself
Donate the Honda to Forgotten Angels.
It’s a novel idea
It’s my turn for a new bike now.
I dare you
Congrats on the new bike mike!
Thanks man
I call my bike "IT"
Lol perfect!!
I like bike too 🏍️
Big fan
congrats on 4k!!!!
Appreciate it Tommy
Shawn Smoke made a comment a few years ago where he said if he was on one of his Harley's vs an Indian or BMW his view count went way up.
So far it’s absolutely true.
great video! i'm happy for ya! >>from n.w.Ga.>riding a '95 roadking
Rock on Will!
Fun video man. Digging the vibe here. Cheers from chilly Beantown
Thanks my man!
